You can get a good wave pool built for around $8,000,000USD. I actually researched it and called a company. Makes more sense to just move some place with waves like that all day everyday.
The only people who probably get to enjoy this are rich foreigners. To see the awesome wave pool the people of Japan get to enjoy search summerland wave pool in tokyo.
As is already commented before, Ocean dome in Miyazaki (not filmmaker! ) is already closed. But other resorts including hotel & golf etc still remain there and beach is very nearby, it's somehow strange though. hope that nice place to visit. the price of food or whatever in Miyazaki is cheapest in Japan.
should have one called a "tsunami pool" that generated real tsunamis for the surfers. They would be like "WTF!!!" when the water kept surging toward them and slamming them right into the hotel LMAO. Bob would be up on the controls going "HURHURHURHUR!!!"
holy fucking shit, finaly an actual wave pool, with barrels.... non of this mushy 3 ft crap... still not quite that "perfect reeflike wave" but oh my god at least its a good breaking wedgy barrel, lefts, rights.... wonder what it looks like if it was like 2 ft bigger or how much bigger does/can it go...??? good stuff.... making progress... sick !
USA companies are too cheap to adventure on a business like this. Northeast of USA needs something like this. cocokey resort doesnt even come close. great idea!
I am going to Japan next week and i want to surf this place, even though it's plastic surf i want to try it (there's even barrels out there) It's ocean dome in Tokyo or where?

you shouldve gotten it like 3 or 4 inches shorter than your shortboard. i have a board like that and its 5'8 and its so much fun
