Just when I think I’m not going to like a video because of the topic, like blending stumps, (boring item) then Jazza goes and makes it fun and entertaining and engaging. I felt the same about optical illusions, but dang it Jazza, you made me like it! The key is that you are being simply YOU. It’s what everyone is connecting to; your excitement and enthusiasm for art and sharing it with your unique and quirky personality, no matter the topic, that’s the best content ever. Strong work Jazza! Keep on being you and being real. ❤️❤️❤️

I "dabbled" in 3D art for a while, discovered that surfaces directly against the paper should be their true shape (for example, a circular "hole" shape in the paper SHOULD be drawn as a true circle). The reason being that it will always accurately follow the perspective that the paper is on.

I've never been an artist, per se, but in high school we could substitute design and drafting for art requirements. I fell in love with the precision of the work we did. One of the best classes I took was a 3D projection class. It was basically taking a XYZ draft of an object, and then projecting it into a faux-3D space by perspective drawing, and vice versa. This was back in the early 90's. Even at the time, there was computer software capable of doing this very thing, but learning how to interpret 2D content into 3D space, and vice versa (even if mentally) was a good skill, which has helped me in life. Even though I don't do work related to CAD, or art, simple projects around the home can require flattening 3D space into 2D plans, or imagining 2D plans projected into 3D space.

Jazza: “...I think mainly because in real life we have depth perception...”
I don’t have depth perception 😢. I have Amblyopia and Esotropia Strabismus in my left eye (meaning my eye looks inward) so my brain takes most of the input it gets from my right eye and peripheral from my left but it suppresses most of the input it gets from my left eye. As a result my left eye is weaker than my right. I may try to do another Strabismus surgery (I had two when I was a little because as a baby my right eye also crossed) at some point which would hopefully straighten my left eye however it wouldn’t change my eye sight. Some people have had success with vision therapy yet there isn’t a vision therapy eye doctor near enough to me. When I close my left eye, everything is pretty much the same except I lose the peripheral from the left.

HI JAZZA!! Hope you're watching my comment . I am your 11 year old biggggg fan. I've been watching your videos since a year and a half and actually I found your video randomly and now I watch them regularly. I wait for your videos everyday and whenever I get a notification from your channel I leave everything I am doing and I just watch your video. We had our test tomorrow but due to some reasons it has been cancelled so now I'm here to watch your video. If you are reading my comment then do let me know jazza. You are a really really amazing and great artist 😊😊

My favourite optical illusion is the dragon head that always follows you until you go so far around the piece that it finally breaks.

So the fact I can look at optical illusions involving depth, in real life, with both eyes, and they still work.

im pretty sure the best way to make the hole realistic is to make it a perfect circle from the top down view. the elliptical effect will happen at any angle you look at it from

Funny enough, i have an art assignment EXACTLY about 3d trick art and one of the assignments is that exact ladder video. Its not everyday where 'research' = 'entertainment' LOL

Just had a video idea 🍿
Take a bag of pop corn and pick out a few random shapes. Use these to make characters or figures. Boom 🤯
(I'm not sure if this has been done or not)

Ah-Mazing, Jazza! You’re a better Artist than I ever was, probably. You’re quicker, and hyper realistic with your optical illusions. I used to watch Bob Ross paint, starting in my childhood. He was pretty awesome, too.

I have done magic for years and all of that has to not only do with angles but it deals with how complex it looks and that can often create the illusion 😅
