33:30 on that spring and others the best tool I found to use is an Auto Brakes shoes spring Tool to both put it back on and to take off is the easiest way to do it.. other ways are much more harder to get the job done
FYI getting those rear end rims off I haven't done it but using a propane /LP torch and an Air hammer with the flat head fitting not the punch fitting, they can be found for under twenty $$ is probably the best way to get them off with out using a puller and so on and not a cutting torch
Just can’t beat the older MTD mowers Cheap to keep up and hardly ever any transmission problems It’s the only mower I will ever own and would not buy a new one for half the price 😊😊😊
You can use a hole saw, slightly larger than the axle and hub. Then split the part that is left on the axle with a death wheel. Never seize the new one, so the next feller uses less curse words , Lol :)
Well after 2 Trans swaps , you finally got it up and going took alot of work but you did a good swap on this mtd.

I think a ceiling mounted chain hoist would make your life a little easier too! Good video!
Thanks! I would like to get one at some point.
A rolling frame would help a lot

Well at least they are not a plastic transmmion like a newer m.t.d big box store mower

As long as you keep good belts on them they generally last a long time.
I have had to cut it off with cutting torch and grinder to spit to shaft
It’s really faster than beating it off and less work
Yes, experienced the same thing. AND NEVER SEIZE THE SHAFT AND SAVE THE NEXT FELLER A BIT OF CURSE WORDS , LOL ;0
These are really easy to change out with deck dropped and wheels off will be the hardest to do
Lololo enjoy 😊
You can change tires and add tubes without taking the tire and wheel off the axle....
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Very nice video 📹 Casey!!!! I really enjoy these kind of videos 📹!!!!!!!!

Yes. Paint the wheel white instead of black.
Thanks 🙏
What Tran are you using to replace the plastic ones in craftsman T2400 ??????
"Not positive traction..." My brain said fatal ..traction.
See with deck off it’s easier
I have an old mtd with the varidrive. Should i change the transmission out for racing or can you have a fast varidrive one?
Check with Redneck Computer Geek on YT. He definitely has a better idea than me on that one.
