Dude, you're gonna see very quickly that Josh Giddey plays with passion, energy, and plays every game like it's his last, too!
I know Bulls fans are pissed about losing Caruso, and that's completely understandable.... but Giddey and Matas are going to fit together on the court seamlessly.
Matas is already a really good cutter at age 19.... and Giddey is already (at age 21) one of the five best players IN THE WORLD at passing cutters open. He got the nickname SLOB Wizard for a reason. He's quite literally the best player in the league ALREADY at sideline out of bounds passes. I've watched every single Thunder game Giddey has played (220 games), and every game before OKC here in Australia too. I'm supremely confident Giddey and Buzelis are going to destroy defenses on cuts for many many years to come.

I am not comparing him to Kevin Durant, but KD did shoot 28% from 3 in his rookie year. No one was concerned by his shooting. Some players just need time to adjust to the further distance. I believe MB will be fine from deep. When? I don't know, but I like the form on his shot, and definitely think he can at least become a quality catch and shoot guy. It might need to be tweaked slightly to make the transition, but I am confident that he will. Unlike a Giddey, where the form doesn't look smooth or even comfortable, it's unlikely he ever becomes league average. I love the pick! I wanted Cody Williams, but I was happy going into the 10th pick that both of them were still on the board.
Also to add, the video maker said that the 3 point line will be longer. That isn't accurate since he played in the g league. Which means, he jumped straight from the high school distance to the pro distance. It doesn't mean that he'll shoot better, but it does slightly prove why he struggled.

What is this addiction to the 3-pt shot? People are saying players have a weakness because they can't "shoot a 3 from the parking lot!" What about their rebounding, defense, ability to pass, etc.? The reliance on the 3-pt shot is just absolutely insane. Many people don't realize that MJ was the last player in NBA history to score more than 3,000 points in a single season, (3041). Jordan only hit on (12) 3-pointers that year. This young man will do well, if he's allowed to play what suits him best within a structured offense. Dare I say Tony Kukoc 2.0? Chicago Bull's fan since 1966-67. Go Bulls!!!

Even if we are rebuilding at least we have a direction. We won't drop off that far as this team is still loaded with talent. To be honest we will probably be even more competitive than the last two years. We will be more athletic and have far more depth. A lot of that is what we get in return for DeMar and Zach but as the roster sits today it's better.

If DeMar wants to go to a team like the Clippers, they might be able to do a sign and trade for Deebo instead of just letting him walk for nothing. Not really sure what a team like the Clippers has to offer for a (seemingly) rebuilding team like the Bulls, but if we could realistically get an overpriced vet, maybe one or two young bench players that aren't seeing minutes and a 1st round pick or a couple second rounders, then I say go for it. It's by no means a haul compared to what these other teams are getting in trades from the last couple days, but it would be something which is a lot better than getting nothing for our best player
