@@Sportivations I think so too. I’ve been watching his game since about a year ago and can confidently say that his skill will translate well into the NBA
Besides all the physical tools i love his mindset. Kid is trying to compete, kill and dominate. We’ve had 4 years of Patrick Williams who just doesn’t have the mindset to kill besides having all the athletic talent. I love Matas was emotional on draft night. Shows he’s in tune with reality and is very passionate person. Upstairs. He has it upstairs to be great and at his height and athleticism, handle, and unbroken jumper….we got a steal. Just wish Caruso was on the team to teach em defense and raise his iq quicker. He has most potential of anyone on our roster. Giddey will get em easy shots too. Cannot wait for Summer League.
you simply cant play matas and Giddy at the same time. when will AKME realize that you need 2, if not 3 great perimeter defenders. why do they keep putting bad defenders on the bulls? it make no sense.
True, spacing would be horrendous, and I'm not even talking about defense. I'm not sure why, they just traded their best perimeter defender... Speaking about Buzelis, don't you think he'd be a good as a 6th or 7th man, coming off the bench?
@@Sportivations yes, he can be a great 6th man. he can even start on the team with 3 or 4 other great defenders. lets say he ends up being an elite offensive players (dirk as an example). he would def start and be surrounded by defenders. the issue with the bulls is that i dont hate any of their players as individuals. as a team they are horrible. they all have the same weaknesses (cant shoot, bad lateral quickness, bad length)
You're right, but he cannot start on that Bulls squad, he could start on a team with a lof of spacing like the Celtics for example or OKC but certainly not on that Bulls squad
@@Sportivations i will agree with you but then again, any player in the NBA could start on the elite teams like the Celts and OKC and be their 5th man. its not saying much. the issue is that the bulls keep drafting #5 starter types.
Not really, I think the Celtics blueprint this year was really their spacing, they wouldn't start a non-shooting center that would kill their spacing. Same for OKC, Chet shooting the lights out definitely opens up the game for Shai and J-dub. People think anyone could start on a good squad like this, but that's not true. A lot of players would be good fits yeah, but not any player. I agree with your last point.
Im so tired already of scouting report and hyping someone with big potential. Potential does not always translate most of the time in exceling in the NBA. But sure he is possibly a draft steal in the NBA if he turned out to be a successful story. Reality check right now he is 0 in terms of actual assessment level.
I think the biggest issue is the fit, he's just not a good fit for that Bulls squad, unless they trade Derozan and give the keys to Giddey (which they might do) They've got too many mid range shooters and not-willing 3 point shooters, poor defenders at almost all positions..He'd be a better fit on a team with spacing and good defenders that could "hide" him, a team like Boston for instance
He came from high school! No shit he's going to have a shaky start! He went from high school kids to grown ass men! The whole game is different! He just turned 19 relax! If he went to college, he would be a top 5 pick

Good pick for the bulls !
Lets go
He’s only 19 . He’s a high school kid . Bulls got a good one

He’s way more Shifty than those NBA comps. His pace with the ball, handles and athleticism gives him high upside .
I think the Franz Wagner one is a very good comp. What's your take?
