    Women can wear there hair how they want to. Negativity can exit stage left because your channel is positive and very informative. I've been a subscriber for years. So yes negativity is a no no. Thank you Janae for another great informative video. ☺💜

    I saw the negative comments and was like really!? People cussing too! We rebuke negative comments on this channel. I believe that people feel entitled to people's hair. They are mad when you cut it, straighten it etc. Forgetting that it is your hair and your choice.

    Its so funny how the naturals always bashing the relaxer folks all the while cranking up their heat damaging flat irons on a daily. I love the "creamy crack!" It keeps me from constantly using the flat iron on a regular, saving my hair from all that heat damage I'm sure a lot of them are dealing with. Love that you break it all down for the masses! 🤗

    Hi, thank you for this video. I did the eviro smoothing system and my curls stayed the same. It was my hair that was flatter, but a lot smoother. I am happy I watched this before I committed to a relaxer. My hair doesn’t have knots or tangles in it anymore and it looks like a new head. (3c/4a curls black& hispanic ethnicity)

    Could I go from a smoothing treatment to a relaxer?

  • @nikio1975
    @nikio1975 6 лет назад +1

    BTW I love your vids and you are a color genius. I am a natural who has decided I prefer my hair straight especially in the winter. During the summer I will wear it curly, my hair won’t hold heat and it be a waste of time to try and straighten it during warmer more humid climates. I just don’t have time to twist & braid my hair plus my curl pattern has changed over the years. When I was little I didn’t have a relaxer just press and curl now it’s just blowouts.

    Curl pattern? As in 2b, 3c etc. My “curl pattern” is 3c. Will this system relax or soften MY curl pattern? And how do I maintain new growth, will I need to have this treatment applied to my new growth?

    Hi, My hair is natural, I straighten it every two weeks. I am experiencing heat damage, and also I believe that I have protein overload. I recently cut my hair and I am not planning to wear my curls out. Under those circumstances would you recommend me the smoothing treatment

    Which smoothing treatments are good for making curls not as tight without being permanent? I like to wear my hair curly, not straight but I don’t want anything permanent either. Would this be good for that?

    • @janaeraquelmiller
      @janaeraquelmiller  6 лет назад +2

      Aariana Victoria Hi! I only have had experience with the Chi Enviro & Design Essentials Smoothing systems. Anytime this amount of heat is used, the curls can possibly be affected, so there is no 100% guarantee.

    • @user-pf1fe1sn5k
      @user-pf1fe1sn5k 6 лет назад +3

      Master Color Mother I hope I'm not beating a dead horse but it sounds like she is asking the same thing. So if you use less heat would you have retreat the hair more often (or not last as long). And are the amino acids reshaping the hair cortex into whatever shape make? For example could you use a crimping iron? Maybe it wouldn't last as long but that would be really cute to have semi permanent crimped hair on s blow out.

  • @user-pf1fe1sn5k
    @user-pf1fe1sn5k 6 лет назад +2

    AYYY! first comment. Because I am more on the unconventional curly girl side would it counter-intuitive to want the bends 4:22. Can you smooth the hair using a product like this with a large barrel curling iron? What if the effect you wanted was a BIG Curl curly afro?

    • @janaeraquelmiller
      @janaeraquelmiller  6 лет назад

      Trinity Fairgate Hi! I would suggest to do that style after the 24-48 Hour period, just to be safe.

    • @user-pf1fe1sn5k
      @user-pf1fe1sn5k 6 лет назад +1

      Janae Miller Media Hi Color Mother, are you from Philly? I'm am... You talk like we do. Just wondering...
      Is the unsafe part that it would stay in a curled pattern or is it that it would damage the hair somehow? Or will the the smoothing treatment just not be activated because it's a barrel iron and not a flat iron? Sorry if these are weird questions... I'm just a very curious person.

    • @janaeraquelmiller
      @janaeraquelmiller  6 лет назад +1

      Trinity Fairgate Not a weird question at all! I have A very inquisitive mind just as you do, and I ask lots of questions for understanding. Well, I’m using the word safe in regards to making sure the Treatment is settled in as much as possible. Light feathered styles should be ok, but I wouldn’t style tightly for a Big Curly look, since typically the curls have to be created tighter for that style to hold.

      Trinity Fairgate And, I’m from Houston, TX. Hello, Philly! :-)

      Janae Miller Media , Ayyyy! Huston! That's whats up...
      I was thinking of using the treatment not actually wearing my hair straight but doing wash and goes creating a looser curl pattern.

    Not related to this subject but is it necessary to get your ends trimmed every 6 weeks?

    • @janaeraquelmiller
      @janaeraquelmiller  6 лет назад +2

      Nicole Ogletree Hi! I’m a “listen to the hair” type woman. So, I advice to trim as needed. For most Color Treated Enthusiasts, every 4 months is Ideal, or after a color service.

    Do you do the 2nd day rewash and style for your clients or do you only do the original application?

    • @janaeraquelmiller
      @janaeraquelmiller  6 лет назад

      Courtney Shelmire Hi! They do have that option, if that’s what they’d like. Now, however, Chi has updated the system to where you shampoo the treatment out the same day.

      AMARIs Bella thanks for your response. I actually have this info on hand. I guess where my confusion comes in is on whether or not the second day is mandatory. Since no bending should he done to the hair after the original process, I always feel obligated to do a 2nd day if they actually want body in their hair.

    • @INDIGO.GODDESS_573
      @INDIGO.GODDESS_573 6 лет назад

      Courtney Shelmire. You have these new instructions, That tell you to wash the treatment out after the initial flatiron? The second wash after 24\48 hrs is not mandatory or needed.. Only recommendations is... no excessive bending, clipping, bands, ponytails. If your client wants more body after 24\48 hrs, you can always have them come in for JUST a re-curl for body. There's no need to shampoo it again.. because you've already shampoo'ed it after the Intial treatment.. Where as before, when it wasn't shampoo'ed until after 24\48 hrs, the treatment left on the hair made it feel stiff and look dullish..
      I hope this helps..😊
