These bikes have pretty decent engines, the engine is made by zongshen. They are pretty popular engine manufacturer so you should be able to get parts for them. might have to ship them from china though so it can take longer to get parts. I used to have a 2009 pister pro lxr160 with a 160cc zongshen engine and that bike lasted over 10 years of hooning. And I replaced the piston and rings for around $30.
There's only like 3 engine manufacturers in China and Zongshen is the biggest one of them all. Pretty much every dirt bike coming out of China is using Zongshen engines.
@Cali_Livin_916 Zhongshen is one but it's second largest to Lifan, Lifan motors believe it or not designed and manufactured the original Lotus engine for the Lotus supercar 💪
I have that same dirt bike same year has a lot of torque and it has been really good it don't like real soft sand too much but other than that it does a great job just make sure you change factory oil and put in some good oil
Great review even though they definitely look the part it seems that they require a few tweaks to get em goin usually with Chinese Dirtbikes they skimp on the key things like the pivots bearings and suspension but if you're mechanically mindful then updates aren't a problem I guess cheers mate Happy Trails
I have a 21 k5 xtr 250 highper and it’s the exact same bike and color. Don’t waist your time trying to get to the rear shock adjustment because it’s non adjustable other than the sag. That blue nut and scew is only a gas port. Front shocks have only rebound Allen screws at the bottom, the top is only an air vent, not clickers. Hope that helps good luck.
@@inoutdoors624 Thanks man. I'm a lot lighter, a lot, so when I slide back on a bike with not much power, that's about all I can rely on, lol, the power. What is the starting procedure for the TM31 (If I'm missing something)? Not counting; Hooking up battery, fuel on, key on... It kicks over and starts to idle, then dies, with or without choke on. Once in a while if I have throttle about 1/4 it will start and run right up to about 2 or 3 thousand rpm, sounds fine, then let off the gas and immediately dies. Is there some kind of disable feature, or? My elevation is about 500'.
Although they do come pretty lean, I am also at roughly 500' and didn't have that issue. If it starts with the throttle partially open, have you check the idle screw? My throttle cable was adjusted all the way out so mine actually idled super high at first.

Too all the sh/it talkers out there, there really are well made Chinese dirt bikes. Just for the record, pretty much all 300cc and under dirt bikes from Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha are NOT made in Japan. the high end MX bikes are. All the small stuff is made by license and design in Indonesia, Tailand, Taiwan, etc. Also for example: Loncin who makes the harbor freight engines, is a division of Yamaha. Loncin makes parts for everybody, and is a large manufacturer or side by side parts for Yamaha and others. KTM frames are made by a Chinese company. Well made frames! KTM thinks so. These Trailmaster bikes are nice! I have both Kayo and GPX Moto motorcycles. VERY WELL MADE!
