I agree with Ian, dev teams aside. There’s already problems they have to fix before they should be putting out any new content. Suppose CoD BR is amazing, I don’t want to HAVE to play BR mode because the balancing and bugs in MP are so shit that it’s unplayable.
They'll probably add a player and map chunk loading system. As in once players hit a certain distance, you can't see them even with sniper scopes and thus their ping and latency doesn't affect you, making the game run smoother (sort of what Fortnite has but on a much bigger scale)
640 Shorty I have 3800x + 2080s and I crash 50% of my games. After the patch it’s even worse. They say they are fixing crashing problems, the more the fix the more I crash. Jesus. Before the last 2 patches I didn’t crash as often as I am now.

I havent had any problems and I play on a gaming laptop with a 6th gen i7 and a gtx 960m.. playing on 1600x900 resolution and pretty low settings I get 50ish fps.. but at least I can play man i would be hella pissed if i were you.. hopefully they will fix soon. 8:00 I think it might still be a separate game because with Infinite Warfare, you can choose to play Modern Warfare Remastered in the main menu but you have to own and have the game downloaded to choose that option.
5:00 On the "G21" being a new pistol, we know the BR is currently under separate development by Raven and its likely not yet fully complete. I think G21 may be a place holder name for the X16. The obvious choice for G21 would be the Glock 21 which is a .45 ACP glock pistol with 13 roung mags. Thats quite literally exactly what the X16 is in game. Could be some of the code that exists for the BR mode is essentially unfinished and the weapons names were different pre release/them devs used a different internal moniker (Really common for game development).
The Gulags honestly doesn't sound like a good addition to the game. The revive system seems over complicated as well. So you have to have a revive token, then your teammates have to carry your body to an ambulance, and then you have to fight in a 1v1 to come back. What's great about Apex's respawn system is that's quick. When you go down, especially towards the mid to end game, you need to get back in asap to get your loot back or find new loot. It's still risky as everyone nearby hear and can see the drop ship. Your teammates grab your banner, take you to a respawn location, and you're back in after getting dropped off. The risk with respawning your allies in Apex is that everyone knows your location. In this rumored BR, you have to find a revive token which is luck in itself, then you have to carry the body to an ambulance which is risky itself, and then your teammate has to win a 1v1 which comes down to luck of the skill of the enemy you get. Sounds like they're over complicating it for the sake of being different. On top of all that, sounds like the loot system is just another clone of PUBG/Fortnite. The more I hear rumors and leaks about this BR, the less excited I get. Only thing that sounds good is the custom game addition and settings, but that's not really something I'll be touching a whole lot considering most of my friends already gave up on the game due to MP being a camp fest with strong SBMM making it impossible for them to play the game with me and due to Spec Ops being a buggy, nearly impossible mess. If they don't fix what they currently have in the game before releasing a massive BR update then they're probably gonna get even more backlash. People don't want a BR right now, they want SBMM toned down, bugs fixed, spawns fixed, more maps like Shoot House, and Spec Ops to be overhauled.
The only game I can recall using a central deposit/craft system that alerted all nearby players was Realm Royale and their forge system. It was a great way to lure in new battles and speed up games
It hasn't even been announced, chill. Also, the people who are working on battle royale are not the same people who fix the game, that's not how it works.
I know i dont know whats so fun about battle royale tried it on black ops twice and i found it boring husslin too find weapons all that jazz....screw that not intrested.Besides i thought thr hype of battle royale was long gone
the whole point of battle royale is about find equipment, taking out enemy players to get better guns etc to win the game, if you had everything at the start that would be boring and it'd be like a regular 1 life mode on a big map
It honestly sounds like BR this year is incredibly well thought out and will have so much to do and experience. After this, they just need to fix up spec ops and mp and this game has the potential of lasting a couple years. I really don't think I'll play BO5 for a long time if all goes well with this.
It can be a separate client and a 4th slice on the main menu at the same time.. and its quite easy to implement, just look at battlefield 4, battlefield 1, battlefield hardline, each of them are seperate clients and inside the game you can easly switch between them if you own that game. (on consoles at least, not sure about pc)
I'm really unsure about having 200 players, with regards to both servers and how that will influence gameplay. Also, if it's F2P, as the rumors have been forever, I can see it being the first tactical BR to finally dethrone PUBG.

I aint paid £50 for old content. I'm a BF fan and bought this for Realism mode mainly and the bigger maps. Why can't you just play MW3 if you love those maps so much? I want the devs to work for my cash.
Because they know they can't fix the dumpster fire so they add to it. Every game doesn't need battle royale added. They just need to add different maps to the game which promote better gameplay. Then take away the claymores and make other weapons better
Perks being all over the ground was part of the obnoxious part of blackout. Perks should be equipped before the game. A standard 3 perk system is what I said they should have done since last year.
Main reason I don't like COD having a BR is because it splits the player base massively, also taking away resources from MP but like you said it's better if it's a separate studio.
No one seems to understand that with a possible BR mode it won’t take resources from the mp. This is because IW manages mp but Raven would be the studio managing BR. So, the guys working on mp aren’t wasting time working on BR coz that’s not their job, it’s Raven’s
150 health (300 with max armor) would still mean you'd have quite a fast TTK in this game. Most guns would kill in roughly 5-12 shots depending on the armor the enemy has on

Wouldn't it make sense that it's being worked on by SHG? Given that Activision replaced their title for next year with one from 3Arc, maybe it's because SHG will be responsible for having put this BR together as well as supporting and updating it thereafter.

I like the idea of this mode, but I've been struggling to do well and I think you could provide some great insights to the community. I really like, what the leaks are tellling us. The biggest hope for me is, that the lootdrops will have really "special" weapons. e.g. like in PUBG, where the AWM is ONLY in lootdrops, but when you got it, you felt like a king😎😂 That was the thing, keeping me away from lootdrops in Blackout... There were no "special" weapons in the lootdrops... you could technically even find an Paladin on the floor. Hopefully they will really attract us with Lootdrops🙏😃
200 sounds fun but the reality it's too many. The game will either be crazy to the point of not knowing what is going on or so slow the game could take hours unless you try to artificially ramp up the speed with the kill circles. It's a nice idea but will need work to balance and we have seen already that a balanced game is not one of the developers strengths at the moment.
I really hope they also have a 100 player option. If they are able to restrict the storm size in custom modes, they should be able to do it for a 100 player mode too. It would also keep it fresh and different if there was just a section of the overall map that was available at the start, it would be different ever match. 200 players with re-spawning, and the jailbreak thing that was leaked just makes it last way too long. 30 minutes for a standard match seem like a nice lengthy round, 200 players with all the other stuff will be 60+ minutes. That’s too long a lot of times.
The Gulag thing sounds confusing. Do you 1v1 another player? So you have to wait for another person to die and then do the revive thing too? And then what do your teammates do while you're waiting? Can they leave and you'll spawn with them? Do you spawn at the ambulance and someone can camp your body until you wake up? Do your teammates protect the ambulance while you do the gulag thing and are therefore vulnerable and can't really do anything productive? Way too many questions
I’ve wanted BR in this game from day 1, but my concerns are the armor system being way overpowered, 200 players making matches take forever and it being to complex.

Slow play is fair but it's also incredibly boring to play, play against and to spectate. People aren't playing CoD for that type of game play. There's PUBG for that or even ARMA if you wanna take it further.
eBay and my local game shops are flooded with second hand copies of this game, by the time this comes out there won't be enough players to fill a battle royale map,
I think they should cut the size of the map. and have 100 players with a couple different maps. idk im also worried about how reviving sounds. just 1 revive a match is pretty ridic. doing all that for a revive having to do a one on one. every team mate says: just leave me behind. way too much to do a revive.
I think the Gulag aspect won't be implemented very well, sounds like there's possibility of a long wait time for it since the respawning is already a 2 step process. It will be interesting to see if they connect the gulag to different battle royale servers to combat that long wait time but it would really only make sense to implement gulag for each server independently since you're suppose to be battling those in your server and not others. I think the Gulag aspect isn't as a good of an idea as it sounds and honestly might not even be worth using because of the long process and I can see it being pretty much abandoned after a few weeks. It would make more sense to defend the ambulance while your teammate gets patched up since you have to get a token AND risk it for the biscuit to an ambulance that may be far from you. It would make more sense for every player to already have 1 token, keep the idea of carrying teammate bodies to an ambulance and then defend the ambulance or have to wait like 30-45 seconds to get the teammate back
it wont happen because the consoles are pushed to their boundaries by this game. if you raise your fov either the game cant hold 60 fps or it's graphics have to be turned down. Now I also want more fov because right now console fov is a joke. I'd be willing to sacrifice some graphic for performance.

The Video Game Archive Well I would say from what I’ve seen and heard from the COD community so far, a majority of people aren’t feeling/hating on this game. I’ve been playing COD for 11 years and this is the most disappointing and bad MP I’ve ever played. I can literally write you a novel on what’s wrong with it but it’ll just be easier to refer you to some videos. And ofc other games do but not usually COD. People play COD for COD, not battlefield. But if you’re into that then good for you but I would say most COD fans aren’t into that. And most guns feel the same because the TTK is 🌩 quick. The regular core health is literally just like the hardcore health in every other COD. If you’re defending this game and actually like the way it plays then you’re one of the lesser skilled AKA noob pleasers that the devs literally said and made this game for. Plenty of “safe spaces” for y’all to hide and purposefully made the TTK so quick to help out the newer/lesser skilled players. Hope you don’t think you’re good because they literally... LITERALLY made this game for noobs, everything caters to non skilled and “tactical” players and left the OG, veteran, good players out to dry with this one
The Video Game Archive Also I stopped playing for about a week and tried playing 6v6 and it took me about 10-15 to find a game... There’s very limited modes and limited maps for each mode. 7 regular sized maps and most of them are horribly designed. I never said this game was dead but it will be sooner than most recent CODs if they don’t quickly and massively change things
King James now I don't know why I takes u 15 minutes to que up. I have no problems with that. The maps are kinda too open and leaves no room for strategy. Like Hackney to me is the best map The ttk to me is perfect. I don't want to shoot you in the back but have yoh do a 360 no scope just because u got a shit load of health. Save that for the BR mode. The guns are amazing and vary The sound is amazing The death animations are way better. I was tired of the same death animations that had for like 20 years. There is very little that needs to be done. Mostly QOL changes. I can live with the maps for now. Got plenty of modes. Ground war is fun every once and a while. Cyber attack is kinda like a siege mode. I honestly hope they make more interior maps for cyber attack to make it more like siege. But I'm sorry if you are not enjoying yourself. I'm kicking ass and having a blast.
The radar defeats the purpose. No blind siding enemies and completely eliminates strategy. 3rd party will still happen just as often. Respawning is also dumb and greatly reduces skill required.
Before the game came out i was worried about gettin bored with the game . But to my sha grin , between gunfight, s&d& my fav cyber (hardcore) . Im really loving this game. Tdm, groundwar and other modes are a campers playground !. So i think a BR in Feb seems fitting and by then i might be graving that mode by then , maybe ! (Fyi i have played all good BRs) from fort nite, cod, apex, pubg.
If datamining suggested a pistol called the "G21" that might be referencing the X16 pistol that is already in the game. The X16 is basically a Glock 21. I'm guessing they had to change the name because Glock didn't want them to use it.
Who asked for an end-game radar? The whole point of Battle Royale is the circle forces movement, why do we need further incentives to move around with our heads cut off? Also, couldn't disagree more with your TTK take. There's a freaking revive mechanic, heals, armor, and a respawn mechanic for your teammates. How on earth does this justify a slower TTK (aka more base health)? If anything it makes deaths that much more inconsequential. Blackout's chief failing was it's insane TTK. Everyone is such a bullet sponge and it takes forever just to drop players at range, despite getting multiple hits.
Oh and Radical Heights did the in-match currency/reward/deposit system. It's not overly complicated and it really does reward people for being active in a match and not just camping till the end. It's too bad that game shit the bed.

They will also have a mission you can activate called assassin i believe where it gives you a random person or team in the match that you have to go hunt down and kill that sounds dope.

It'll be a chunk loading server system. Once out of a certain range, players will no longer affect your latency and ping.

I aint paid £50 for old content. I'm a BF fan and bought this for Realism mode mainly and the bigger maps. Why can't you just play MW3 if you love those maps so much? I want the devs to work for my cash.

Because they know they can't fix the dumpster fire so they add to it. Every game doesn't need battle royale added. They just need to add different maps to the game which promote better gameplay. Then take away the claymores and make other weapons better
Perks being all over the ground was part of the obnoxious part of blackout. Perks should be equipped before the game. A standard 3 perk system is what I said they should have done since last year.
Main reason I don't like COD having a BR is because it splits the player base massively, also taking away resources from MP but like you said it's better if it's a separate studio.

No one seems to understand that with a possible BR mode it won’t take resources from the mp. This is because IW manages mp but Raven would be the studio managing BR. So, the guys working on mp aren’t wasting time working on BR coz that’s not their job, it’s Raven’s
Hoping the TTK is similar to Apex. Imo the slow TTK is one of the big reason why the game is so fast paced.
From what i gather the armor is going to work like apex. Straight armor and not mitigate like blackout.
That should help with the ttk. But like apex it invites not just 3rd parties but 4th and 5th parties.
150 health (300 with max armor) would still mean you'd have quite a fast TTK in this game. Most guns would kill in roughly 5-12 shots depending on the armor the enemy has on

Wouldn't it make sense that it's being worked on by SHG? Given that Activision replaced their title for next year with one from 3Arc, maybe it's because SHG will be responsible for having put this BR together as well as supporting and updating it thereafter.

The biggest hope for me is, that the lootdrops will have really "special" weapons.
e.g. like in PUBG, where the AWM is ONLY in lootdrops, but when you got it, you felt like a king😎😂
That was the thing, keeping me away from lootdrops in Blackout... There were no "special" weapons in the lootdrops... you could technically even find an Paladin on the floor.

200 players sounds fun. But is there a chance we could have 5-6 players squad so I dont have to choose with which friends to play
I think the current coop maps would also make great enlarged TDM and Domination matches especially with the 100 v 100
200 sounds fun but the reality it's too many. The game will either be crazy to the point of not knowing what is going on or so slow the game could take hours unless you try to artificially ramp up the speed with the kill circles. It's a nice idea but will need work to balance and we have seen already that a balanced game is not one of the developers strengths at the moment.
Can't they just focus on improving multiplayer first?

I really hope they also have a 100 player option. If they are able to restrict the storm size in custom modes, they should be able to do it for a 100 player mode too. It would also keep it fresh and different if there was just a section of the overall map that was available at the start, it would be different ever match. 200 players with re-spawning, and the jailbreak thing that was leaked just makes it last way too long. 30 minutes for a standard match seem like a nice lengthy round, 200 players with all the other stuff will be 60+ minutes. That’s too long a lot of times.
The Gulag thing sounds confusing. Do you 1v1 another player? So you have to wait for another person to die and then do the revive thing too? And then what do your teammates do while you're waiting? Can they leave and you'll spawn with them? Do you spawn at the ambulance and someone can camp your body until you wake up? Do your teammates protect the ambulance while you do the gulag thing and are therefore vulnerable and can't really do anything productive? Way too many questions

Slow play is fair but it's also incredibly boring to play, play against and to spectate. People aren't playing CoD for that type of game play. There's PUBG for that or even ARMA if you wanna take it further.

I think they should cut the size of the map. and have 100 players with a couple different maps. idk im also worried about how reviving sounds. just 1 revive a match is pretty ridic. doing all that for a revive having to do a one on one. every team mate says: just leave me behind. way too much to do a revive.

I think the Gulag aspect won't be implemented very well, sounds like there's possibility of a long wait time for it since the respawning is already a 2 step process. It will be interesting to see if they connect the gulag to different battle royale servers to combat that long wait time but it would really only make sense to implement gulag for each server independently since you're suppose to be battling those in your server and not others. I think the Gulag aspect isn't as a good of an idea as it sounds and honestly might not even be worth using because of the long process and I can see it being pretty much abandoned after a few weeks. It would make more sense to defend the ambulance while your teammate gets patched up since you have to get a token AND risk it for the biscuit to an ambulance that may be far from you. It would make more sense for every player to already have 1 token, keep the idea of carrying teammate bodies to an ambulance and then defend the ambulance or have to wait like 30-45 seconds to get the teammate back

if you raise your fov either the game cant hold 60 fps or it's graphics have to be turned down.

The Video Game Archive Well I would say from what I’ve seen and heard from the COD community so far, a majority of people aren’t feeling/hating on this game. I’ve been playing COD for 11 years and this is the most disappointing and bad MP I’ve ever played. I can literally write you a novel on what’s wrong with it but it’ll just be easier to refer you to some videos. And ofc other games do but not usually COD. People play COD for COD, not battlefield. But if you’re into that then good for you but I would say most COD fans aren’t into that. And most guns feel the same because the TTK is 🌩 quick. The regular core health is literally just like the hardcore health in every other COD. If you’re defending this game and actually like the way it plays then you’re one of the lesser skilled AKA noob pleasers that the devs literally said and made this game for. Plenty of “safe spaces” for y’all to hide and purposefully made the TTK so quick to help out the newer/lesser skilled players. Hope you don’t think you’re good because they literally... LITERALLY made this game for noobs, everything caters to non skilled and “tactical” players and left the OG, veteran, good players out to dry with this one
The Video Game Archive Also I stopped playing for about a week and tried playing 6v6 and it took me about 10-15 to find a game... There’s very limited modes and limited maps for each mode. 7 regular sized maps and most of them are horribly designed. I never said this game was dead but it will be sooner than most recent CODs if they don’t quickly and massively change things

The death animations are way better. I was tired of the same death animations that had for like 20 years.
There is very little that needs to be done. Mostly QOL changes. I can live with the maps for now. Got plenty of modes. Ground war is fun every once and a while. Cyber attack is kinda like a siege mode. I honestly hope they make more interior maps for cyber attack to make it more like siege.
But I'm sorry if you are not enjoying yourself. I'm kicking ass and having a blast.
The radar defeats the purpose. No blind siding enemies and completely eliminates strategy. 3rd party will still happen just as often. Respawning is also dumb and greatly reduces skill required.

Before the game came out i was worried about gettin bored with the game . But to my sha grin , between gunfight, s&d& my fav cyber (hardcore) . Im really loving this game. Tdm, groundwar and other modes are a campers playground !. So i think a BR in Feb seems fitting and by then i might be graving that mode by then , maybe ! (Fyi i have played all good BRs) from fort nite, cod, apex, pubg.

If datamining suggested a pistol called the "G21" that might be referencing the X16 pistol that is already in the game. The X16 is basically a Glock 21. I'm guessing they had to change the name because Glock didn't want them to use it.

Who asked for an end-game radar? The whole point of Battle Royale is the circle forces movement, why do we need further incentives to move around with our heads cut off?
Also, couldn't disagree more with your TTK take. There's a freaking revive mechanic, heals, armor, and a respawn mechanic for your teammates. How on earth does this justify a slower TTK (aka more base health)? If anything it makes deaths that much more inconsequential. Blackout's chief failing was it's insane TTK. Everyone is such a bullet sponge and it takes forever just to drop players at range, despite getting multiple hits.
Look like the Battle royal might be worth playing this time.

Oh and Radical Heights did the in-match currency/reward/deposit system. It's not overly complicated and it really does reward people for being active in a match and not just camping till the end. It's too bad that game shit the bed.

They will also have a mission you can activate called assassin i believe where it gives you a random person or team in the match that you have to go hunt down and kill that sounds dope.
