- Since people are constantly curious, today I'm going to share what I feel are currently the top 5 best guns in Modern Warfare multiplayer as well as 4 guns that are often overlooked that I feel deserve a lot more love! What is your favorite gun currently?

It’s weird that your game even has 5 or more weapons in. Seems to be a bug going around for most users that cause them to only be equipped with the M4

I find the AK-47 to be super underrated. After getting attachments to control the recoil, it absolutely shreds the competition.
Personally I hate the ak, the recoil at base and fire was rate is pretty trash, with attachments it might be better but I find it to still be pretty bad
One of driftors AK classes are so sick, compact barrel, range foregrip, compensator, 5493x39 and no stock, its so sick and the recoil is easy to controll
5.45 AK is great, but the mag size is way too small.
7.62 AK is also great, but the second you miss a shot, those M4/MP5/Grau users will fucking decimate you. That's the biggest downside of the AK/SCAR/Oden/FAL.
@@T8-TR I run hardcore mode only, and its funny, using the ak,fal, oden, scar are the meta weapons because they can one shot kill basically any range. The M4, Grau, Mp5 builds are harder to run
I agree. Do the ammo swap for higher rate of fire, recoil attachments and ads attachments. Just play a little slower and its amazing

@@__skullchess__7607 TERRIBLE game design. I've had my character scream "contact" even though I didn't see the enemy, which of course allowed the enemy to turn around, look down from his rooftop and kill me.

Also the weapon firing sounds from other characters is often extremely quiet. An enemy might be 15 meters away from you inside the same room shooting an unsilenced weapon, but you can't hear them even with really good earphones.

because the 725 is op & is most likely getting nerfed. the 725 kills people at the ranges that subs are dominant in, that's horrible weapon balancing.

Kind of hard to have fun using other weapons when 90% of the time I’m dying to the M4. Yet I still do it. The MK is such a fun gun to use when it’s consistent.

m4 has a bit high RoF in a game with such high lethality... outside of that i dont see what this weapon does others cant...
The real broken gun is the 2 barrel shotgun that has insane range and instant kill shots...

@@707romo707 nope... my first one is steyr aug submachine class, second is a 141 assault class, third is a dmr class with a shotgun to go with it, fourth is a survaillance class with lmg and rockets and my favorite class is sniper class with submachine gun to go along it...
tbh i didnt play too much yet but the only weapon i really struggled against is the 2 barrel shotgun... you can run and gun and even if the enemy hears you ... as long as you face the right direction you outgun everyone from close tto mid range... sometimes even long range its ridiculous...

i´m not saying the p90 isn´t extremely fun to use and cool but it´s essentially a mp7 with extended mags, more recoil and less range
There is an attachment for the barrel I saw when messing around in custom games on the p90 that really seemed to reduce the recoil. I’m curious if anyone has unlocked it yet.
@@y2JSPARKY94 I actually have my P90 at max level with gold camo unlocked, I pretty much always run the Barrel attachment (cant remember the name) and it really helps with range/recoil.

@@franciscoaparicio434 Saying that "the M4 isn't that good" is just silly. It's factually one of the best guns in the game. Its stats are all amazing. Fast ADS, fast reload, good handling, fast ROF, fast TTK. bruh. Amazing at close-long range.
Don't forget the ASM1. That gun gave me more nightmares than the BAL.
We have to applaud IW for the weapons, they feel so good and animations are so sexy, and besides they all are usable to some extent, filling their own little niches in the game

P90 is pretty good, but the MP5 with a suppressor is my favorite smg, gives me tons of nostalgia from Cod 4.

Every gun is amazing when you put the right attachments on them. I'm sure thats how they intended it to be in this game with the gunsmith function.
xBattousai I would love to agree, but it’s still cod, a lot of the weapons aren’t going to get used, like sure they might be great in certain circumstances but weapons that are great to start of with and great at everything are always going to dominate, high fire rate is usually the guns that dominate the meta, that’s why I can say in my 55+ levels of playing I’ve never died to the marksman rifles (not counting the mk2) or any lmg is except the pkm like three times.
Some youtubers are even pointing out that some of the attachments seem to make no tangible difference, namely the ones that increase ads speed, but I’m a stats guy so I’m going to wait for that to all come out.
TL;DR: some guns will be better than others, sure attachments make a difference but it’s not revolutionary, that’s why everyone already has a M4 class 😂😂
@@climax050 yes but the m4a1 gets unlocked so early it's useless to use the other guns because you get outgunned for not having the right attachments
A fully kitted EBR or MK17 is still worse than an M4 with no attachments. The FAL is God awful until you get it to a stupidly high level, the MK13 is literally always a worse M4 no matter what attachments you put on it, I could go on but I think you get the point.
Ceciphar the m4 is just the best gun in the game, it’s stupidly good at every range there’s literally not point using anything else unless your me and refusing to use it cause it’s just that op 🤷♂️

The oden is often a 2 shot weapon. Its by far my fav assault rifle.

I dunno man. It's a good gun but it's TTK just doesn't hold up to the others on the list. I was super hyped to unlock it and immediately realized I was better off with my m4 or m13. This game is all about fire rate.
@Tony Ramos No, it isnt. It's already been tested. Dont know what you're on about. The fire rate in the M4 gives it an advantage.
VewyScawyMonsta that headshot multiplier is the only thing that makes the scar so alright, but the M4 is better all around, 3 body shots to kill with that stupid fire rate is mad dumb.
The scar is trash. Low mag size, slow ads, slow sprint out and shitty attachements really.
Personally love the m13 and have since the beta. I feel like I can just laser people with it at any distance. I also liked the type 100 in ww2 and it kind of reminds me of that feel but not quite as fast in the handling department.
I think in the right hands and play style most of the guns have the potential to be good and underrated.
Im using a M13 kitted out and i do quite well with it! Can laser sniper people with it and would not put any of my deaths down to it
M13 is easily my favorite. I got gold on the M4 and still was in love with the M13 two rounds in.
I tried the m13 and the recoil was really nice but I felt like I was hitting people too many times before they died. I could level it up to get the .300 blackout rounds but idk if I could use it that long
@Mario kilo wasn't in the beta so it must have been the M13. I've noticed I'm getting faster mid-long range kills with it than the m4 so maybe it was connection based? I've definitely dumped full clips in people just to get instakilled when my connection is lagging

Listen, the Oden two shots from the chest up, with stopping power rounds it one taps to the head, the recoil is tough but once you get a suppressor you're golden
Currently running the oden with colossal suppressor and fmj. Thing is a laser. Brutal.

TypicallyUnique yeah they’re viable but they’re kind of ridiculous. There’s 2 spammy shotguns that can be trolly and really annoying and the 725 is a quick 2 shot shotgun sniper. I’ve only been using the first shotty. The 870 I think it’s called, good ol fashioned pump action normal shotgun
2/4 are really good, almost broken, but the Origin 12 and first shotgun aren’t that good
they’re too viable. You know they are when everyone in search is running overkill with a 725 to cover any chance of losing a gunfight up to 15 meters

I have to agree the 725 isnt doing anything crazy do you remember the ksg from black ops 2. And I get out gunned by a m4 jumping around all the time while useing the 725 just bc I missed one shot and it has a half second delay in between shoots.
The way the game is the shotgun is OP...if this game was friendly to rushers/movers then I would say the shotgun fine but most of the lobbies I'm in half the enemy team is running this shotgun...1 shot kill 99.9% of the time...

Like all the years that the best shotgun was a sniper. The 725 is funny to me. I always said quick scoping takes practice but ita broken. You have long range and short range one hit kill potential with few downsides. If they ever made a shotgun like that everyone would lose their minds and not see the connection.....then enters the 725.

@@bcnicholas123 so is quick scoping ridiculous? This is basically what happens when a shotgun functions like quick scoping. Fast ads center screen 1 shot kills. The difference is this is a 2 shot and snipers still have max range. If this shotgun isn't ok then quickscoping isnt now, nor ever has been, ok.

1. Kar98k (plays like old COD snipers (exp. DSR50)
2. Aug (steady asf and good damage output with lil recoil
3. Mk2 Carbine (plays like old snipers from cod games easy to get 1-2 shots with and fast reload)
4. Odin (High risk high reward weapon)
5. Ram-7 (just solid overall)
Honorable mentions: Ak-47(ofc) Deagle(2 shot at almost any range and 1 shot with headshot) & riot shield (protects your back and is actually viable for not just meme play

Piercer: hold my beer!
Yeah you can unlock it in one match easy
Just a heads up. You won’t earn weapon XP using the Piercer. Even after you unlock the base MP7

Just use spotter, haven’t died to a single claymore the last week. You can also tag claymores, give you an idea of where people are camping, and gives you points for tagging them. It’s an amazing perk for people that actually likes to move around the map
@@Evjen97 true, but people always seem to place it round corners where you cant see the laser, or you could just use E.O.D to survive a claymoee blast.

definately, but its slightly higher damage makes bursts at range and bracing a viable option, and hip-fire at close range lifesaving. I wonder how it’ll do in pdw or lmg form
Slightly higher damage yes but quicker falloff. I feel like when you apply attachments orientated specifically at reducing recoil to it's highest possible value it significantly impacts ADS speed. I'd like to see a slight buff in ADS and mobility speeds under full kitted attachments.
@@derbyjoker2201 ADS is the same as past CoD games the animation makes it feel different, there is a guy on youtube that did the test already. The kilo wild recoil makes its balanced, the M4 needs the same treatment, there is not reason for that thing the be a laser almost on par with snipers.

Another underrate gun is the Uzi. I put a Thermal scope and a monotheistic suppressor and some attachments for control and accuracy and it's great.

@@a1phamalestud come on man... Kilo is fine... the M4 is the problem... almost no one uses the Kilo... M4 is 90% of the players... I use M4 quite a bit too but I always start with something else and only switch to it when things turn really bad...
My absolute favorite is the MK2 (this is THE gun for fun) and after it I love the Oden (cause everyone thinks it's shit... while it's a godly weapon if you stabilize it a bit), the FAMAS (or whatever it's called... because let's face it... a burst rifle is so much more badass when you one-burst them down) and the MP5 (although I feel that the Assault Rifles in this game outclass the SMGs a lot because the SMGs aren't as much more dominant as they should be up close)
Anyway, it's better to have a worse KD ratio with guns that you have fun with (and play the M4 a bit too because it's still a fun gun if you don't overuse it) than to have a slightly better KD ratio by making the whole game feel like a routine...
Best way to counter these M4s Is a riot shield with throwing knives,I find it so funny when they try to jump shot you and do everything they can to kill you with the M4.

I play with the M14. Capped firerate is honestly not so horrible. I outgun literally ANYONE at medium-long distance. (I'm looking at you, M4A1 snipers and bolt action spawn campers)
M14 is a beast of a weapon if you play smart and stay accurate.
Pepe I hear that, the recoil on it makes it difficult to use on console for me unfortunately. But I’m coming straight from MW3 to this, so I guess I just need to give it more time.

I just wanted to throw my hat into the ring for the SCAR in underrated guns. Needs some love from attachments to ring in that recoil but once you get a couple on there its shreds especially if you land a headshot or 2 in there.

I've been getting pretty good with the model 680 shotgun, the pump action one. With some hip fire attachments you can pretty much kill anything indoors without aiming, in a single flick. And differently from the 725, you can flank and kill basically the whole enemy team without needing to reload.
Trying out an Overkill loadout with it and the MK2 Carbine, I use mostly the 680 and stay indoors, when I find a window I do a couple shots with the MK2. Getting nice results from it.
I wanna add on that the p90&aug is definitely slept on.
as someone who has been using only the aug and p90 mainly since the game came out, the aug is rough to use but its so likeable due to the customisation you can do with it, the p90 is just a monster as per usual in every game. but i think the aug needs a bit of reworking as it feels pretty weak compared to the other smgs

I was running through some of the missions you can pick, and I ended up with the PKM and that thing is hilariously fun to use.
For the mp7 you could do the weapon variation “piercer” which is the first weapon variation it is the mp7 has very easy missions to do the build they give has no recoil and after completing the missions you go to the mp7 and right next to it the armory tab will come up and it’s gonna be there it doesn’t matter if your level 54 you could use the variation

For me, the SA87 is really good and not used enough. Especially when you got a longer range scope and a 60 mag it shreds good. It’s much more mobile than other lmgs which made me love it

@@carlos6740 It's always been effective in Battlefield, what ticks me off more is when M4 users camp in a spot where a short burst can kill a target at range, but they still have the speed and agility to duck when they're fired upon in return.
LMGs are slow to move and are exposed. and a whole ton of firing attracts a lot of attention.

When I started playing, I used the 725 they give you for reaching level 10 in the beta because why not. The M4 was cool, but I wanted to try something different. It was disgusting how lethal the thing was when running around and sliding, and I got called our by my friends just for having it equipped. I mean, it's not going to stop me but the spirit's there.
After getting the Oden to lvl 67, I can honestly say that it's my favorite Assault Rifle in the game. The damage is insane and the one-shot-kill range is ridiculous. Best of all, if you add on the variable Zoom scope or sniper scope then you can say goodbye to the conventional Sniper Rifles.
I totally agree gave that bad boy a go and haven't touched any other of my classes in a while❤ and don't even get me started when you mount it on something it becomes an actual laser of death.

AUG. Oh my god, that gun I feel is also very underrated. It's nice in CQC, it's nice at range, the only problem is that the M4 does it better. Try the AUG for the love of god though, that weapon is so much fun and super versatile.

I use MK2 Carbine already, its an amazing gun and super fun to use if you are able to hit shots properly. Its a snappy and fun close range Sniper/AR Hybrid. You can hold corners super easily due to the one shit. With good attachments its really good.
In Ground War the Draganov is pretty deadly.
E-Money met a dude with a silencer and some other attachments on it, had gold camo and just destroyed everyone. It seems amazing once you get it up some levels
In my opinion the M13 is extremely good, and I'd rather use that instead of the M4A1.
I really like using the ebr 14. It has some recoil, but it has a good 2 shot potential and it's always a one shot headshot.
