I think the r7 is a simple yet powerful bike in a good price range for how new it is. great for an average rider, not for someone who's looking to be going crazy fast since the top speed is around 140 I believe
I completely agree. So far I'm liking it. Does have a good bit of power for being the 2 stroke. It's been fun.
I got back into riding with an R3 and the R7 really looks like a natural progression. I saw one in town recently and went and took a closer look at it. It looks very similar in ride height to the R3. So much so that if got one in the same colour as my R3 I don't think the wife would even notice I traded up 😁
Nice. It's fun. It is a great bike for progression for sure. And for your sake hopefully not. Lol
You gonna move to the R9 next? R1 is also good end goal.
Definitely gonna have to try out the new R9's for sure. And will have to check out an R1 but idk that I will ever buy one to own though. To big and clunky.
Just bought the new 2025 R7 and man someone said it sounds like a sewing machine and I can't unhear it. I am ordering an exhaust ASAP lol.
Heck yeah. How are you liking the 25 model? Didn't look like they made any big changes from 24 - 25.
The R7 is a solid street bike with plenty of punch to make me smile while also being light and nimble. The hate mostly comes from people wanting it to be something it was never designed to be (R6). That said, I am planning to buy an R9 when available, but I will be keeping the R7 in the stable. I love it enough to not want to trade it in.
Yeah I'm enjoying it so far. Definitely been looking at the R9 as well. May be a bike I pick up in the future to.
You're not going to keep an r7 when/if you get an r9. Stop the cap.
Waiting for a local dealership to get one in so I can take a look at it lol.
The leaking is just condensation from the exhaust, mine does the same on cold starts
I actually had a loose clamp on one of my coolant lines. Tightened it up a little and it's been golden so far. Haven't had anything on cold starts but if I do I certainly know what it is now. Appreciate the info.
What shocks me it why the r7 is the most popular 650 ish bike like no one seems to look at the Cbr650r that much, and it's a 4 cylinder 650
Thats a good question. I guess more color options on the R7 and it's cheaper by a couple hundred dollars. I think it being a 4 cylinder should trump those differences though. Who knows.
@@SethmotoX Probably because it's not the 600RR. If people want an IL4, most people are going to skip the 650R for something that's truly racetrack ready.
Love the way the r7 looks. just way to agressive for my taste.
To be honest it doesn't have as much power as I thought. Coming from the 500 to this not all that different as far as power. Though the R7 is stock and the ninja is not.
@@SethmotoXyou’re right but I think that it will be really faster if you take it to a track and push it really hard, you will feel the difference. For example, I’ve seen a lot of video about person doing 0-100km/h and the ninja 500 takes often5,20 sec. But the R7 take 4 seconds to 3,5. So you just have to push it really harder believe me
No absolutely agree. I mean the R7 is definitely going to be simply faster and all that good stuff. Depending on track I feel the 500 would definitely be able to keep up though.
I agree. The 2 tone is ugly. That’s why I put my deposit down on the 2025. But more pricey. I think they said 12000 out the door in California
Yeah will be a little cheaper for me to just buy the gloss OEM fairings.
What was the drive out price?
9k otd.
Good deal 👍
You should be running 91 octane.
I do run premium in it.
