You're going to fast on you're explanation. my camera connected but what the camera sees my cell screen it doesn't see. Then somehow the app on the cell camera disconnects me from my wifi. Billy Stray I read online a while back that some go pro’s came new in the box needing a software update. Once updated they work great. Might be your problem not sure.
