This is an amazing shop and almost exactly what I am looking for! I am thinking.. what if there was a way to change the circuit you have for the lectern to comparator measurement (range of 1-15 items) to a hopper timer of some sort (range of 1-64x5). I am trying to design one like this, but I haven't been able to figure out how to lock the hopper in between transactions. Maybe you could assist me? And if we figure it out you could give a tutorial on it if you wanted. Either way, you earned a sub for this video. I'm surprised I didn't come across this sooner!
Designing a circuit like that is a totally different beast. If you have a look at my channel, I have published such a design for Java and it was massive. I might get around to making such a creation for Bedrock as well, but currently I sadly don't really have the time to do so
but is it possible to just change the 15 to any arbitrary number? I'd like to have the machine give you 30 silver nuggets for each gold nugget entered...
I'm trying to add in an additional dropper like you suggested but I'm trying to keep it neat like the awesome OG design. Did you just copy the right side of the machine and flip it so there's two circuts dispensing twice the items? @@rubybutton3142 I just meant for you to add multiple droppers, just like you did in the end! But I must admit, that it is quite a task to make it look neat. Just a note, that I would recommend using droppers instead of dispensers, in case it isn't just a mistake in your comment
Love your design! But I’d like to better understand how the lectern lets the sorter know how much of an item needs to be put in until it sorts. I get that you put the page number in and it sorts that much, but does the lectern send a signal somewhere or do something like that with the sorter to have it work the way it does? That seems like a great red stone piece that could come in handy with other builds as well so that’s why I’d like to figure out more about it, thank you.
Great question man! The thing is that lecterns have the awesome feature, that when you read from them with a comparator, it will send out a certain signal strength. The strength depends on which page is currently selected in the lectern. What exactly the signal strength is is a bit more complicated. The last page of the book always gives out 15. For the rest of the pages the game tries to spread the signal strength to them according to the total number of pages. So if you have just three pages in a book, the last one would give out 15, the second one 10 and the first one 5. If you have 5 pages, you get strengths 15, 12, 9, 6, 3. And if 15 pages, which is what I used in this design you get signal strength of the same number as is the number of the page. (We are more talking about double pages when it comes to bedrock edition, as you cannot turn the lectern to one certain page but always to a double page). Let me know if I explained things in quite a messy way, I can try to say it better.
Yo bro design is great tho i wish i could do more than 15. This is perfect to sell my iron from my farm in my SMP. My mates play at different times so this helped a lot. Thank you
I’ve been wracking my brain to figure out a system for N:1, but with a dropper counter the 15 item limit can be multiplied by up to 12, and additional dropper counters continue to multiply. This makes any number useable except for large prime numbers, which isn’t an issue for my purposes, but could be for some use cases
I found a bug. The payment filter hopper sometimes goes down to 16 items in the 1st slot, instead of 18; meaning sometimes a coustomer will get extra product that the next coustomer has to pay for.
dude this is awesome, how long did it take you to make it, can you do an updated video, where you break this apart..... like this is how to do the shulker box logic, this is now to move items about.... its really cool stuff, but all together very daunting.... excellent work!
Thanks for your support, I am glad you like the video! I tried to explain some of the main mechanics of the machine in the video, but you are right, that explaining the entire thing in detail would deserve a whole video of its own. In bedrock it is a way to get the torch on the piston to activate even though the piston itself in not being strongly powered (so if it was a regular block would not turn the torch on or off). And the obsidian is there to prevent unnecessary movement of the piston, as that ia not needed.
It might not work in the wild update the signal from red stone block is too strong now and goes through 2 red stone dust instead of 1 making the hopper where you insert payment lock
I am not really sure I understand what you mean, can you provide a screenshot of your problem please? There shouldn't be anything from the wild update, that would break this machine
hi there! this is a good tutorial but i am having a problem where it doesn't give me any items. when i pay i can see it taking the money but it doesnt seem to be activating whats supposed to give my item, anyone have any idea what might be wrong?
You sadly cannot do the ratios like you mention. That would require a more complicated machine. But you can use non stackables as the output, just not as the input, as they are hard to filter
There might be a way to make the comparator part loop, but that would be quite complicated I think. I would recommend just hooking up multiple droppers to the output
Is there a way to make this to where it costs 3 diamonds to open a door like a pay gate? If you know any videos I can use please let me know thank you!
Sure, if you want to use this machine to do that, you can just leave out the output dropper a from the block where it was take some redstone dust and wire it up to the door (you will need to make the signal last longer though) Then just set the payout amount to 1 and you are done!
