Hollyleaf had Crowfeather’s pelt, but at least she had the familial green eyes and there are black cats in Brambleclaw’s family. But with these 2? Everyone before Fireheart was an idiot

And Lionblaze had amber eyes, which he got from Leafpool obviously, but Brambleclaw has the same eye color and there's definately ginger fur in their family (squirrelflight herself was ginger so like...) so it makes some form of sense that nobody realized who they were. There's like no excuse with Mistystar and Stonefur tho.

@@artsyscrub3226 Well I mean actually it does, since according to the official artwork, Brambleclaw and Tigerstar are both black tabbies, meaning a brown cat with black stripes. And Squirrelflight being a tabby proves nothing since red (ginger) cats are always tabby regardless of whether they actually carry the gene. Besides, two tabby cats technically can have solid kits since solid is recessive. The only weird thing is Jayfeather can't genetically be Squirrelflight's, but Lionblaze can't genetically be Leafpool's either. Although Leafpool can't exactly be Firestar and Sandstorm's daughter either, considering Sandstorm and Firestar both have the red gene... so yeah anyways The Three aren't Leafpool's OR Squirrelflight's apparently.

Hadès I think they were more thinking the phrase “wearing the same names” was a joke term. Like how people purposefully change phrases to longer terms with simpler words (pardon the phrasing, just cannot figure out the correct way to say it). Like how in some of moonkiti’s videos they say thinks like the literal term Man Who Sired Me instead of father
