- Daryl visits Jason and gets to see the progress on the SSP CHP Mustang build. Jason shares the new body work, paint, and engine progress and Daryl says, 'wow' a whole bunch. You will too when you see how beautiful this thing is.
Beautiful chp car ! Do you see ssp fox body card as becoming collector cars at some time ? I’ve owned my Idaho ‘86 ssp car since 1992. The body & suspension is still pretty original
Yes very likely to increase in value. 86 is a great year! 👍🏻
It's starting to look just like it did when it was delivered to the CHP!!! Looking great, Jason!!!
I owned an '82 5.0 LHX and an '88 GT. Loved both of them!!! I also had a '91 CV CHP run-out that I bought from CHP, back when they used to actually give them new paint jobs to sell them (mine was a med blue). That thing was a tank!! And had a HUGE trunk!!
My favorite Patrol Car of all time was the '94-'96 Caprices!!! Best Patrol car ever, IMO.
Anybody doing a 9C1 Nova resto?
We will have to check on that.
Finally! Was waiting for this video. Thanks for the footage again. Can’t wait for next update! Jason is great!!
Man I wish I could get you to paint my black 88’ Fox..
Very cool video, you guys are doing a great job. I'd love to get in touch with you somehow to run some things by you on my own build, I am going to be building a CHP MRE pickup truck and I'm looking to make it as accurate as possible.
Awesome build! Yeah we would love to see where we could help, shoot an email with any questions to info@justdriven.com
Love Your project can't wait to see more updates. Best wishes and the best of luck . Thank You
Thank YOU! We have some updates coming, but mostly just trying to source some very hard to find pieces!
Where's the vin tag on the radiator support? All of mine SSP CHP car's all had a aluminum tag on the driver side of the support. Very beautiful build.
It's there. It has the CHP tags attached to the radiator support behind the driver side headlight.
I own a 88 SSP it didn’t have stainless exhaust side pipes, just plain steel and they cut off the cup exhaust connection before the muffler and welded plain steel to the muffler
You are correct sir.
Amazing job! Thank you for the effort and keeping that SSP CHP car alive!
Thank you!
Those 87-92 CHP Camaro's were nice also! I remember seeing a white one back in the days.
Yah those were sick too! Just something about classic cop cars...
also, just saying UTAH 86 SSP had all liner etc...
Yah, we don't mind it being a pristine example.
Contact info on Jason? I have one I’d like to get restored by him. Thanks in advance.

I have a 1993 chp in great shape just needs your touch.. where are u located?
We are located in Orange, CA but Jason is located in Riverside, CA. It is not an easy task.
@@JustDriven thanks for replying brother, what’s the name of Jason’s shop? I’m not to far from Riverside
Where is the car today im looking to restore my, 89
It is here at our shop. Good luck with your restore.
Nice! I will be restoring my 1984 Texas ssp
Oh Nice!
@@JustDriven currently doing a coyote swap on it and documenting it on my RUclips channel.
But will be gutting everything again to send it to the body shop
I see that is has the oe oil cooler. Any way to reproduce those hoses. I would love a set for my car.
Not sure if that's something we could do here at our shop. It's not really in our wheelhouse.
@@JustDriven well I’m sure there is a hose company that could replicate the bends and you could selll a few. I wish I would have kept mine when it broke.
Looks amazing! I had a 89 FHP car that I ended up selling to a guy in CA few years ago. I currently have a 91 calypso notch that is coyote swapped. I want another ssp though since I’m a current LEO it would be cool to have.
That's AMAZING! That coyote swapped notch sounds fun!
Looks too clean to drive around.
That hasn't stopped us before.
Love seeing them restored.
Yah, much like rescue dogs, Daryl wants to save them all!
Where is Jason located?
He’s located in Riverside California
Where are you guys located? Curious if Daryl was a copper in CA or not and where?
Orange County 👍🏻
Any new progress videos forthcoming on this project? I'm interested to see more!!!
Lots of progress has been made and a new video is in the works!
@@JustDriven awesome!
