"though hand join in hand , God will destroy the wicked" it doesnt matter how much support we have from people who affirm our sinful nature and sinful false identity. "If God is for us who can be against us, He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us" JESUS PAID A HIGH PRiCe TO PURCHASE A PARDON for sinners. unless people admit their sins and trust his grace they won't be reconciled to him and know his peace
Drew, what you shared with the world and the way you did it, is an absolute inspiration to truth and authenticity of the human spirit. Even though I am a 75 years old gay man and an atheist, your coming out journey inspired me more than dozens and dozens of other coming out stories I have watched on RUclips. You have good insight into the puzzles of life, and I know that your path in life will lead you to the truths that lie before you. Upward and onward young man!
Im a Christian and a yet a dirty rotten sinner so WHO am I to judge? To condemn? when the ONLY salvation I can ever hope for is in the gift of Jesus Christ for ALL the world. Thank you Drew. Thank you for your courage.
I was at the conference in January in Chicago and I wept when the reverend, your dad, came up to speak about his son and his struggles. This testimony affirms my faith and believe that many minds can be changed, many hearts can yield towards love and compassion. Thanks to Justin Lee and the Gay Christian Network for listening to God and this amazing vision. I believe truly that lives will be changed and transformed. We just have to be resilient and patient with God. Education and prayer works and with Christ many more lives we be saved. Today I lay my hand on a wounded world for the power of God to heal and cure, Lord in your mercy, hear our prayers.
You don't know me, Drew. I am an old high school friend of your dad and saw this link on his page. I simply want to say that I applaud you for having the courage to admit who you are. You said it best when you said that "everyone deserves to be loved". I hope that my son would feel as safe with me as you do with your dad. I wish you the very best in life. Good luck with everything.
Drew...we couldn't be more proud of you. God is going to use you POWERFULLY. We cried through your video, because you so beautifully articulated how our own son felt, though we didn't respond AT ALL like your parents did. We'd LOVE to meet you next time we are down in the Biola area...We are so thankful you've been connected with BQU!
Damn good for you kid! You are strong and brave! Don't let the haters and fundamentalists nutters shame you or tell you that you are broken and need to be fixed. You are just fine as you are!
It's unbelievable how hateful people can be. How judgmental they can be. Some of the comments on here are hard to read. But the best thing you can do is ignore them. Focus on the good not the bad. You are a wonderful person inside and out. And your message is one of love, peace and understanding.
(From FB) Congratulations Pastor Cortez and New Heart Community Church members! You've become part of something amazing! It's called the TRUTH! I'm So Happy for Drew, his family, and his congregation. Thank you for helping to show the world who Jesus REALLY IS! To Drew Cortez...you, young man, are a wonderful man and are EXACTLY who God made you to be...but you know that...Thank You for stepping out in faith and helping others to do the same. What a wonderful role model you are! Love, Peace & Blessings to You All! ♥ ♥ ♥
I'm so glad for you; the 'feeling' you got was God's love for you, that you truly accepted His love for all of who you are and were designed to be. and true Grace. I truly hope you continue to grow in God's love and acceptance from this time forward; you've got ahold of some powerful truth that's given you that Peace of the One whose opinion matters most.. I hope this video saves lives and brings many to the same knowlege and experience with Christ that you've got. I hope that you do share more as you feel led to do so, not as a "spokesman" or some paraded representative, but out of what God's given you and leads you to share.
acoluthus you could be and instrument of the Almighty God to go and spread the love and word of God to His vineyard. keep up the good work of a true evangelist. you experience with God is the most wonderful witness in His yard amen!!!!!
Thank you for making this video. I sobbed throughout the entire thing. You've travelled in a short time the road that took me 35 years to travel on. You will have an amazing journey ahead of you without the weight you've been carrying. While I'm in church tomorrow I will pray for God's blessings on you and your whole family.
Thank you for being so brave. I'm glad you had that friend, Jane, that helped you and loved you through your darkest days. Keep being awesome. Your story is going to inspire and comfort so many others.
Your and your dad's video have really touched my heart. This is an issue I've been wrestling with for such a long time. The judgement message preached by so many haters who think they know it all isn't the example of inclusion and compassion that Jesus showed and commanded us to follow. Even though I haven't had to go through your struggle, my heart breaks for young Christians who have as well as other groups of people who have felt marginalised and hurt by the church. I'm so excited to embrace and welcome them into God's family. You are an amazing and incredibly brave young man. God is Love, always, and Jesus wants to give us life and an incredible life to be lived to the fullest. I have no doubt he's got an awesome plan for your future and will be walking with you every step of the way. You have been fearfully and wonderfully made. He loves you SO MUCH!
Drew, I just have to let you know that I watched your dad's sermon and cried. I had to share it with my dad, who is also a pastor. Then, at the end of your dad's sermon, your own video came up. So, naturally, I had to watch it too. UGH! I started crying again! LOL I'm such a wuss for that, but hey, I have NEVER heard LOVE taught by a Christian Pastor, and experienced in a Pastor's household the way you are experiencing it. You are absolutely correct, you are perfect the way you are, the way god made you. (Psalm 139:15,16) Keep being who you are, and keep serving as an inspiration for those who come after you.
Do you or your Dad read the bible? You so called "Christian" Galations 1:6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ. Stop crying and be a man! We have enough feminism in the church world. What is lacking is True men of God that make a stand for what is righteous in the eyes of the Lord and not in man!
Joe, I'm not a Christian. Specifically because of people of your ilk. Tearing up at a tender moment is not against any biblical teaching, so go stuff it, Joe. I have, however, read the bible, 3 times in fact. I've read it, cross referenced it, studied historical context, and languages and cultures of biblical lands. So before you presume to mock someone, know thy own shit.
BackSlider? Rather odd coming from a practitioner of "Conditional Love!" Your very words betray a lack of a "Relationship" with Jesus ... I'm sure you know your Bible inside and out. You seem to use it like a "weapon!" Do you memorize verses to drown out the voice of God when it comes to you in those quite moments of the day or night? Do you consider Unconditional Love to be nothing, but license??? Beliefs are NOT FAITH! You seem to have an over abundance of Beliefs that you speak as if you are superior and justified by that. You were not trying carry on a meaningful dialogue with Roger, you attacked him first so you could lay claim to some "high ground" that was actually lower than Roger's. I wouldn't trade my Relationship with Jesus for your Claim to Religious Salvation for anything!
What a moving and courageous talk. Unconditional love of oneself is the greatest gift we can give to others, it's the only way to love others, in fact.
Drew, I watched your dad's message in church and then I watched your video. I just want to say that people are going to say a lot of things on here that will hurt you. But just remember that you are on the cutting edge of teaching people a new and different way to think. I believe you. I believe in you. Stand strong in God's love and give your awesome dad a big hug. You are both courageous men!
A beautiful testament. A blind man can see how much you struggled with it - as IF it's a choice!!!!! I'm so glad that your dad not only supported you but is now open to supporting so many others through his ministry. A real inspiration :)
I wish I could hug you and tell you how much this really helps people like me. I relate so much to what you just said. Truth is, I am only out to a few people. As a queen person, who is also Christian and a Pastor's son, I really felt encouraged. Your story is making a difference. It's not about trying to push anything to anybody. It's about telling the truth and accepting you for who you are. What a blessing that you are doing that at such a young age. God bless you!!
God bless you, son! I am so happy for you and I know that your words on this video will make the difference for a lot more than just one other girl or boy who faces what you have. I'm glad you were able to do this so much earlier in your life than I I did; and I'm happy you have a loving (and truly Christian) family. I didn't fully accept my own gayness till I was 50 years old; but my experience was very similar to your. What I discovered was that I was my own worst enemy, fortunately I had a Mother and father and brother, and two sisters that loved and still love me. My only regret is that I didn't do it earlier in my life.
Drew, speak your truth. I am amazed and touched at your courage and strength. The Father is saying "This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased."
Thank you for your story. I listened to your dad's sermon from this past Sunday as well. Your family is in my prayers. Your courage, love, and compassion are evident. Thanks again. Much love!
You are a brave and amazing person! You are not the only one who felt that way while trying to figure out who you were. You should not be ashamed of your story and of the "mistakes" you have made through your journey to self love and acceptance. Many of us have made mistakes and done things we have not been proud of due to the fact that we were angry and confused. Stand proud of everything you have done, and learn from your mistakes and grow. The only bad thing would be if you allowed those mistakes to hinder your personal growth as a human being. Continue to love yourself and live your truth! I wish you the best.
thank you for opening up yourself to the world. thank you for having the courage to share. thank you for being who you are. "courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it - Nelson Mandela"
Coming out, especially so publicly, can be a scary thing! I think you're very brave for posting this! Who knows, maybe someday you'll give someone else the courage to stand up and be honest about themselves too.
Be proud of who you are. God loves you and I am so glad your family has the courage and love to stand behind you. Appreciate that every day there are so many kids your age that do not have that support. No matter what happens know that you are loved and you will change many lives through your story. Peace and blessings to you and your family.
Jamal - I strongly re-iterate my support for Richard. As for a "highway to hell" I could not more strongly disagree. I feel sorrow about those people who feel the need to damn people: not a very accepting and Christian attitude in my opinion.
Jamal Jackson Drew, I'm hoping you have learned to ignore ignorant narrow minded jerks like Jamal. They are the past, and those views are increasingly fortunately going into the dustbin of history.
Jamal Jackson if Drew is on the highway to hell, as you stupidly and incorrectly assert, it is because you are leading the way by your total disregard of the facts. If you believe the Bible is true, why don’t you pick and choose the parts that tells the true message that Jesus supposedly brought to the world. Hope you enjoy sitting at the table with Satan. Drew’s positive impact on the world will far surpass your negative, erroneous judgments that Jesus never would have made of him. Keep the faith, Drew.
Dear heart, I have been an activist for more than 40 years. I've seen a lot of young folks come out. Some, alas, to rejection, but many to acceptance. I am so glad you found acceptance and I am glad you made this video. I will share it on my FB page because it may help someone else face the same challenge. I wish you the very best. And I hope you find that special someone to share your life. You deserve happiness. Know you are loved...even at a distance by a stranger.
Four years after you made this video , it's still one of the most powerful moving and wonderful videos I've ever been privileged to watch. this should be required viewing my every parent and every politician and every priest or minister in fact this should be shown to the entire world it is so powerful and so moving and so real I wish I had even a small percentage of your intelligence and your bravery congratulations on being magnificent young man if the world is proud of
Good for you my friend. The truth is always a better route to happiness than pretense. Never apologize for who you are. If people do not accept the truth, that's on them not you. In fact, fuck them.
I love you and your beautiful spirit. I'm so glad you've come to accept yourself as God created you, and now you're reaching out to others to do the same. You're in my prayers!
You are a brave young man Drew. Not many are as fortunate as you to have had such an accepting family once they came out. It fills me with joy that someone of your age can have such wise words to say, that you have learned to love yourself and that you will not change for anyone! It takes a lot of courage for you to have filmed this video especially because I am sure that you were aware of the negative feedback that you would get and the amount of intolerance that still exists in this century. Thank you for sharing your story and letting other young teenagers know that it DOES GET BETTER! Sending you a lot of love!
Very moving. You are a courageous young man and most of our society thanks you for helping us achieve love and equality in our society. We're getting there.
Drew you are amazing! And brave! I met your Mom & Dad several weeks ago at a BQU event. They are SO proud of you! I am a Christian and an openly gay lieutenant with the LA County Sheriff's Department. I grew up with the exact same struggle as you have. Today I have a wonderful, loving partner! He is an LGBT activist and leader in MCC Quezon City, Philippines. He is moving here next year so that we can get married. Always be proud of yourself because you are exactly who God created you to be! God makes no mistakes. And your courage IS helping others!
Be Strong Drew you are a very brave young man for coming out to you family at a young age. I am so proud of you keep you chin up. We are all here for you!!! God Loves you for who you are!!!
Drew, I am moved by your story. My father and grandfather were Baptist ministers; I am an ordained Baptist minister myself, and was 80 years old before I figured out I am gay--it took me that long because of the brain-washing I went through at the hands of people who used the bible as a weapon rather than as an instrument of peace and love and healing. You have a significant head start on me and have. Your father understands the spirit of Jesus a whole lot better than many--you are fortunate! I am saddened that you went through so much anguish--just as I did--trying desperately to be good and do the right thing. Many years ago when I was at Baylor University, Dr. J. B. Tidwell--one of the great pillars of Texas Baptist history--gathered all of us preacher boys in the chapel to share his wisdom with us. One of the things he said has stuck with me these six decades since: "Brethren, even preachers should tell the truth!" You and your father tell the truth.
Drew, It is an honor to meet you. 8 year ago, I finally accepted myself. I had accepted Christ at 13-years-old, and for the next 23 years, I struggled with my faith, hiding, hating myself, praying for change. Today, I am so happy for my husband of five years, and the journey we are on to build our family. Unfortunately, my faith suffered through the process. I lost many friends through the process. And, coming out was like setting off a grenade in my circle of friends. It forced people to "take sides". And, sadly, it became painfully cruel and very ugly. I hope that that dialog within the church since when I had last attended 3 or 4 years ago. As hard as it is, try to love even your most ardent haters. And, be ready to say goodbye to friends who become toxic in your life. There will be many new friends ready to stand by your side.
I was deeply moved by your coming out story, Drew, and am glad that you are now at peace with yourself. Unless a person goes through the coming out experience himself, it's hard to explain it to others. I'm glad you survived it and admire your courage in what obviously was a difficult time for you. I am much older than you, but it was no easier for me. Good luck to you and be happy.
Drew, I am so proud of you. I was a Southern Baptist deacons kid and a SBC pastor for a time. I came out at 29 and I know how much courage it takes to be an Evangelical Christian and be true to who you are. Hang in there! God Bless you!
Watched both you and your fathers video and It`s really cool to hear how him making room for new idea`s made room for you to open up to the people you love. Thank you guys for sharing this with us :D
This was so inspiring to hear! You are so courageous and I'm sure you have helped so many people. As someone who has wrestled with this for many many years I am so pleased for you, that you have been so honest and you have so much life ahead of you to express who you are. Thank you Drew for your inspiration!
It's because of brave people like Drew that hearts, minds, and laws are changing all over the country. It's far easier to hate a stranger than a family member, friend, neighbor or co-worker.
Blessings to you. Your beautiful heart shows through. I am a Christian grandmother married 38 years to same man. Worship, study and humbly appreciate our Lord and Savior Christ each day. You are a gift, you are as God designed. You have strength and as you are just beginning your own truth to the world. You already are concerned for others. WOW!!! That is honoring God. Bless you and when the world attempts to insult you, condemn you. Do not allow those words into your heart. You are beautifully and wondrously made. God knew who you are while you were still in the womb. You have a whole section of Christians that are here for you always. JoAnn Forsberg.
You are an amazing young man, thank you for sharing your story with us and for being so brave and authentic. I am so happy to hear that your family is being so supportive and loving in response to your coming out, that is such a blessing. I pray that you will continue to grow in God's love and that you will continue to be light in this world.
Congratulations Drew, and to your parents too. When I was growing up, where I was growing up, coming out wasn't an option. It makes me really happy that young people can let go of that burden and live the lives that are right for them. The world is a much brighter, much nicer place with you in it, being just exactly who you are. Have a great and wonderful life young man.
Drew, I am in awe ... of your bravery in sharing your story. This is such an intimate and important part of who you are so thank you for being so vulnerable. Your family (and you!) constantly inspire me to live an incarnational life - a life in which LOVE did not just reside in my thoughts, but also in my words and deeds. You've inspired me to be authentic and brave and less fearful of the life that God has in store for me and Cara. Finally, I love how you mentioned how life does get better. I believe your moving video did just that. For that lonely gay kid that needs to know of how much God DELIGHTS in them, I pray that they find your beautiful story. Thank you for your honesty and bravery ... and for the courage that your family and friends have shown in walking through your journey with you in abounding love. :)
I'm sorry you had to go through such emotional pain to get to where you are now. I'm glad you found the support you needed, and that you had the strength to accept yourself for who you are. Keep rockin' on! :)
God bless you for your honesty and transparency. You will help many people. It isn't easy, but you are in the vanguard of bringing truth and equality to many.
I'm here watching your video because as a member in an atheist community (I'm an agnostic atheist and secular humanist) in Facebook, they published the video of your father stance regarding homosexuality and his video was moving and sweet. Your father is a true loving caring parent and I'm glad to see that there are people like him who are more concern in spreading respect, love and compassion.
You need to go see the Movie GOD's NOT DEAD. Its about a Atheist Professor who tries to convince the entire class that GOD does not exist. But then gets put in his place by a Christian student who ends up proving the Professor wrong in front of the entire classroom. You should take the time to see it, cause it sounds like you also need Jesus in your life.
Tobias Barbir and if she doesnt want to believe God while she is living...she will when she is dead...but then it will be too late for her to believe..
Tobias Barbir Thank you Tobias for your advice, I might probably watch it out of curiosity. But it is very obvious (by your previous comments) that you are pretty much one sided.
"Yeah, sure." That's a pretty big clue right there. Yes, puberty's coming around can accentuate things. The reaction of your parents was quite touching, and I can tell how emotional this all is for you. This video is going on my "Coming Out As Gay" RUclips Playlist.
Just watched your video. What an amazingly courageous thing to do, to share your incredibly touching and beautifully told story. We all need to know we are ok, that we are loved. Sometimes it takes someone else's story to show us that. Your story does that. I so wish that brave people like yourself had been around when I was growing up and working out who I am. I wish you well always. G
Wow, you are such a brave an beautiful brother. Hearing your story reminds me my own struggles with coming out in a Christian context as a high school student. Although it was only ten years ago, it was quite a different world back then. It was just on the edge of the great shift that has happened. Of course, that's referring to the world and culture and not the Church so much. I came out with different conclusions then you and your father on this matter but hearing your story is still really helpful. I still don't have my theology totally worked out either. I don't believe God made me this way but I believe he allowed me to become this way and I thank him for it in a different way. Anyway, I don't want to diverge from my main point which is that you are brave and I will pray for you tonight. Peace!
Hi Drew, that took great courage. Especially being a s. Baptist pastor's son. I'm so pleased it went well for you and it speaks volumes about your family and the congregation. God doesn't make mistakes and he made you perfect, just the way you are. I hope you find that special someone who will help you to find happiness. You "deserve" to be happy. The real shame here is that you ever had to feel any at all. Keep that beautiful smile and you'll find that it DOES get better. Be happy!
Thanks for sharing Drew, I've done out to my parents some time ago and my parents hold strong to their christian values, we haven't talked about the topic in 8 years and its starting to create rifts and I can't talk about my real life or act like who I feel in my heart then there's nothing to talk about. I just came out to my brother and hes been a lot more supporting that I could ever expect, and with his help I will come out for the second time because I've been in a relationship now for 3 years close to the 4 year mark and my entire family except for my bother have no idea about the real me. Thanks for sharing your story, I gives me more hope hearing your story. EDIT: I found another video about your father and his church and that story, and well to say the least I'm very proud of you I don't know who you are but your a good guy, you started a conversation that ended in something good not just for your self but for many people.
Bevin, please sift through and read my comments throughout as an encouragement to you and your family. There would;t be rifts if your family didn't love and care about your eternal future! It's not over. there really is an eternity. we all have eternal...(something) but by YOUR choices, decision will be made. Your family want to spend eternity with you in heaven(it's a real place) ( so is hell UGH!!) Forget what I, any/everybody thinks, If you want ETERNITY WITH GOD, it's like wanting to go to someones house. Must get to know HIM/owener of house. God owns heaven. Must go by his rules, His house Please be patient with your parents. They are scared skinless, because if you die in your sin right now, ....jyes doesn't bare thinking about. Please seek God alone with all your heart. Don't focus on the "issue" because God says if guilty of one sin then guilty of all. that would make your sin no less than mine, or anybody else's, right? Forget who is right and wrong/ focus on God. he is right and we are all wrong-yes, me too. get word of promise bible app and play day and night. seek God with all your heart until He consumes you. Matt6:33 & never quit.
Drew, I'm so proud of you. Your heartfelt coming out story moved me deeply. I wish I was as brave as you when I was your age. Your story will indeed help others to know it does get better. I love you - hugs!
hey....it will get so much better. You remind me of my husband....he did not want to be gay either. He came out in his early 40's and we met and dated for 2 years and than we got married. Jeff is the best guy in my life and I in his. We truly love each other and our families really love us too. Please believe that it will get easier. And know that God loves you the way He made you......to be gay and loved! Stand tall Drew....there is a whole bunch of gay Christians that love and accept you for YOU!
RODGER ... isn't that an oxymoron? "gay Christian" it's like saying a Christian devil, is it not? i Corinthians 6:9 we all have choices. make sure the consequences of those choices are what you want also, for the short vapour of life here, is nothing compared to eternity-with or without God. choose you this day whom you will serve..." joshua 24:15
Drew, this is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your story, with guts and grace. Love that you have been able to accept yourself and find understanding with your family. God bless you as you continue on this journey. I am sure you will positively impact many, many people in your life.
Thanks for sharing your story in such a thoughtful, eloquent, touching manner. You are making a difference in the lives of others by your courage, honesty and compassion -- as is your family. God bless you & stay strong!
Drew, This is an amazing video. Very moving. Very impressive. You are fortunate to have good parents. You will do well in life. You're obviously a smart guy and a good person. Good luck!!
HI Drew, What a great young man! Blessings. Never doubt the fact that honestly and openness will triumph. The way is painful, but have hope is always gets better further on!
Drew ~ what a blessing you are to your family, your friends, and your God. You give a beautiful testimony to not only being honest with who you are ~ who God created you to be ~ but a great testimony to the strength of faith and family. I pray that others will watch this video and find the strength to come out and to accept who they are with no apologies. Also, I hope that others can watch and understand that no one chooses their sexuality ~ a sad misconception. Blessings to you!
Drew, your struggle of discerning your sexuality is so genuine. You are inspiring. I am a 56 year old man who remembers what that struggle feels like. I waited much longer to come out to my parents and realized that once I did that my parents had loved me all along. I am married to a wonderful man and we look forward to a future where young people do not have to feel alone and lost because of their sexuality. God loves us and we should feel thankful for the gifts he bestows on us. Have a great life!!!
Drew, I usually don't post comments on videos but after reading some of the comments I just wanted to pass on a message of support. You're a brave young man and I am so happy that you have found your true self and have a loving and supporting environment to encourage you to be who you are. I found your video via an article about your father and the church's decision to leave the Southern Baptist Convention. It has saddened me that many churches of the christian faith have perverted the message of Christ but the story of your congregation, your father, and your courage to be who you are has given me hope. I wish you all the best in your life and much happiness now and in your future.
Drew, what a courageous and wonderful young man you are! So much truth was spoken, you are fearfully and wonderfully made and God does love you just as you are. I pray all who need to see this video to help them accept themselves, will. I see God using you to do mighty things for Him! Your family is so lucky to have you.
I think what you did is great and I think you should be really happy that you are blessed with such accepting parents and family members. Please do not be discouraged or angry at people that do not understand you. You must know that they have the same misunderstandings that you had when you did not accept that you were gay yet. It is not their fault, it is the fault of the church spreading a false word of god, the hating word, not the loving one.
know that you are not alone. That there are so many of us here who have your back. That you are living in a far better time that those of us who grew up in years past, even just 5 years ago it was so different.
Happy one year son! So thankful for your courage and love!

You are without sin ?
Drew, what you shared with the world and the way you did it, is an absolute inspiration to truth and authenticity of the human spirit. Even though I am a 75 years old gay man and an atheist, your coming out journey inspired me more than dozens and dozens of other coming out stories I have watched on RUclips. You have good insight into the puzzles of life, and I know that your path in life will lead you to the truths that lie before you. Upward and onward young man!
With holy spirit in you, you can change one day ! Call upon HIM and resist that desire ! You can! Don't believe Satan's lies !
You are not alone.
Drew.. You are AWESOME!!!! Don't ever let anybody make you feel ashamed of who you are. You are a beautiful person...And your Dad is a GREAT Man.
Blessing young man-- your family will do great things that you cannot even imagine yet. See you on my next trip down there.
Much love and support for you Drew! Your coming out is an inspiration to others.
You are awesome. You are a light. You are an inspiration. Thank you.
I hope that you do share more as you feel led to do so, not as a "spokesman" or some paraded representative, but out of what God's given you and leads you to share.
acoluthus
you could be and instrument of the Almighty God to go and spread the love and word of God to His vineyard. keep up the good work of a true evangelist. you experience with God is the most wonderful witness in His yard amen!!!!!
Good for you on coming out and being the true YOU. It takes a lot of courage. Wishing you all the best. Peace and Love ~Chris~
You've done more good in 14 minutes and 19 seconds than many do in a lifetime.
(Psalm 139:15,16)
Keep being who you are, and keep serving as an inspiration for those who come after you.
Do you or your Dad read the bible?
You so called "Christian"
Galations 1:6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.
***** you're obviously a backslider! You wont find rest till you comeback to Him!
God loves everyone. It's so nice to hear that your father is a pastor and supports you that is very rare
You are loved by me, Drew
This young man is extraordinary. His video touched me, and I'm sure it will touch millions of hearts. I wish you the very best, young man.
:) Be Brave be BOLD!
I just want to add that your family and friends are pretty awesome and the love they have for you is an extension of God's Love.
Stay strong, Drew. Your courage and sincerity will definitely help other kids who are in your situation!
Much love!
just so real and relatable... the best coming out video I've watched
Drew, Thank you for being brave enough to come out and share your story. :)
What a touching coming out story and I'm glad it went so well for you Drew!
You're a great young man. Your story and your dad's have moved and inspired so many people!!!
You're such a beautiful guy and seem like a gentle soul. I hope the very best for you. Thank you for sharing.
An inspirational video! I'm so pleased that you are now at peace with yourself - I wish you all the very best for the future.
Yeah right! You be at peace with yourself as well!
Peace with himself on the highway to hell. Sad.
So glad, your dad changed his mind about the whole subject! So proud of you guys. Well done!!!
You are such an inspiration! This must have taken a lot of courage! All the best Drew!
My story is a little bit different, but I can tell that we are of the same heart. Thanks Drew, I needed this.
Big Hug Drew!! You're very brave for sharing your story and I cried the whole time I watched this.
You're amazing. You and your dad are a shining light in my life. thanks for the video.
You're so brave :)
You are such a strong person for doing this u are a true idol in my life
+Jay garza aw thank you!
DrewEC your wellcome i would love to be your friend so we could relate with one another
Drew, thank you for sharing your story. I honor your courage and openness. Peace and cheers, friend.
Thank you, Drew, for being so strong and very courageous! Your testimony will help so many who are 2 steps behind you. Your voice needs to be heard.
You are an amazing young man. Thank you for fearlessly being yourself. And don't let the haters get you down. It's not about you; it's about them.
You stole my heart.
Couldn't say it better.
+Tobias Barbir Agreed.
Tobias Barbir
and if she doesnt want to believe God while she is living...she will when she is dead...but then it will be too late for her to believe..
Tobias Barbir
Thank you Tobias for your advice, I might probably watch it out of curiosity.
Peace!
I can tell from this 14 minute video you have a beautiful soul. Thank you for your wonderful words Drew.
Must go by his rules, His house
Please be patient with your parents. They are scared skinless, because if you die in your sin right now, ....jyes doesn't bare thinking about. Please seek God alone
with all your heart.
That was heroic, Drew. I kept praying you wouldn't cry...and you didn't..!!
Now I pray you find a love fit for a hero.
God Bless you.
Drew, I'm so proud of you. Your heartfelt coming out story moved me deeply. I wish I was as brave as you when I was your age. Your story will indeed help others to know it does get better. I love you - hugs!
I'm sorry that you had such a heavy and painful period in your life. I hope that you are through that now. I hope that you are happy and feeling safe.
Love is patient, Love is kind.
hey....it will get so much better.
"gay Christian" it's like saying a Christian devil, is it not? i Corinthians 6:9
we all have choices. make sure the consequences of those choices are what you want also, for the short vapour of life here, is nothing compared to eternity-with or without God. choose you this day whom you will serve..." joshua 24:15
Drew,
This is an amazing video. Very moving. Very impressive. You are fortunate to have good parents. You will do well in life. You're obviously a smart guy and a good person. Good luck!!
You are AWESOME and COURAGEOUS and INSPIRING!!
The world is so lucky to have you! (Hugs!)
This video is so moving Drew ,if any video can help other people your one will.
ALOHA man. Keep your chin up. It looks like you've got an amazing father and he has an amazing kid. congrats on your new found freedom.
Drew, I'm so happy for you!! Thank you for sharing your story. It's so powerful! Leah & I are so inspired by and grateful for who you are.
Bravo, young man! Thank you for sharing your experience with the world.
HI Drew,
What a great young man!
Bravo Drew, good for you! Society is changing and distancing itself from fairy tales. Be strong!
