Although a lot of the cars from the original F & F movie would be considered ‘rice’ these days, this S2000 is one of the few cars in that film that I feel has aged well with its modifications.
I do not like anything Honda but I agree. This and the NSX are absolutely beautiful cars and will hold a place in my heart forever

Real talk a 99 S2k with an SR 20 swap could have been hella pricey in 2000

That's the GVWR... the curb weight was 2813 lbs. And the 13.7 1/4 mile? That's a bone stock time. Looks like somebody did some quick spec checks and didn't think it through.

Dude how sick would that be if Honda brought back and released a 2020 Type R S2k. They have released the Civic Type R to us and it seems, based on my personal research, that a 2020 Honda Odyssey Type R is said to be released to us as well!

There is a modern Honda S Roadster known as the S660. It's powered by a 658 cubic inch turbo inline 3 and is a Kei car (smaller than an NA Miata). It's only sold in Japan as that class of car has not done well outside of Japan. (Vehicle reminds me of the Suzuki Cappuccino, a very similar Kei roadster)

I Always Thought That Thing Make 400HP I Got Shook When You Said 295HP
Movie logic but even without a supercharger (which I didn't even know it had until seeing this video), 240ish HP wasn't anything to sneeze at for a stock naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine.
the car came with 245hp at the crank,with the supercharger it made 295 at the wheels.which is about ~335~ at the crank..with the nitrous the car made 340 at the wheels,which is about ~400~ at the crank...so yea,the car made 400hp :)

I believe he was charging around $10,000 for the initial swap and customer supplies the motor/tranny. I forget where in florida that was. Thinking south west florida

It should be noted that the supercharger wasn't installed until after filming of the first film wrapped up. Also, the hero car was the only car used in the first movie. The mic rig car was a heist civic. Also, the wheels were Andrew Racing Mesh wheels.

Are you sure that S2000 weight 3,845 lbs? The stock AP1 S2000 is weight less than 2800lbs.

My mum had 56 model and my sister had a ap1 99 model,
Got to rally 3 of them about wrote one off.

My sister had hers 1st back in 2003, then my mum bought 1 in 2006-07 then I bought 1 in 2014 58 plate best 1 I could find in the UK bought at 28k on the clock 1 owner,
I wrote it off within 6months,
Insurance paid me out 2.5k more than what I bought so my Dad bought a 09 plate in 2015.
But it was not as good as mine.

I used to have one. It was pretty fuckin quick for stock… I bought a hard top. Mugen intake and exhaust… but ya.. it’s funny. Nowadays with inflation modding a car IS absolutely ridiculous expensive now
