I remember moving - on my own, all my friends were suspiciously absent - and looking around my old place thinking "YAY ITS DONE", then realizing i too had a closet of despair that I had completely forgotten about. That was a rough day. Just keep reminding yourself of how awesome it'll be when you've finally finished moving and can settle in.
I don't miss filling that stupid box truck by myself

@@AnnaDoes you guys really have a knack for making a space look cozy and livable! Even just the desks in the corner - seeing it from the camera’s perspective really transforms the space.
He doesn't have that one drawer where he keeps the cords just incase he needs them. He has an entire warehouse of the thing.
I would recommend keeping a powered off fridge bit open in order to ventilate the air (like have small foam stuck between the lit and chassis). Otherwise you might have to clean it to remove the smell if you were ever going to use it again.

Nearly 2 years ago we moved from a fairly normal sized 2 bedroom rented apartment into the tiny 1 bedroom place that we now own, and watching you move from what looked like a cupboard into an open plan office area fills me with vicarious joy - I am at the same time jealous but so happy for you. You have worked hard to get into this position (!) and I hope everything goes well in the future.
and he lives in Vancouver, right? I dont know about commercial space, but if its anything like the residential pricing, then its not cheap.
The editing to find and blur anywhere with y'all's addresses among a sea of shipping boxes must have been mind numbing. 🤣

In the 90's, I ran a computer business with my friend. We would go to state and private auctions and we would buy up old library, school and other government computers for 1/3 the price. Our original plan was to harvest the gold and other precious metals from the PC's but that process became too expensive. So we pivoted into re-selling the PC's with upgraded hardware and kits. At one time, my office looked just like yours before we moved to a warehouse. If RUclips existed back then, I would have been all over the platform with some of our weird PC finds. I remember the excitement I had just like you when we expanded. In 2003, my warehouse caught fire from a NI-Cad battery explosion and 3 years later after that, I sold my part of the company to my partner. Great video Dawid.

In the modern day where everyone wants to make their cables super neat and organized looking, I'm glad to see there are indeed people who still have cable spaghetti ;) Mine has always looked like that since I couldn't be bothered to organize it.
One sound suggestion. One of the real killers in a space like this are the corners. Not just the vertical corners but also the horizontal ones. Your space has beams, and they are very bad for echos and short quick reflection.
So for corners, the wall things you built are good. You can order from amazon or whatever foam corners which you can stack in and fix the bouncing in there. You can use similar pieces on the beams to limit the amount of quick reflections in each zone of the space.

I too have an unlevel floor, it was skrewing my back up for a while, I arranged my desk & chair in every possible angle, the best position for my spine is with it all set up pointing downhill.
Interesting that it affected your back. We will have to keep that in mind!

The Law Of Stuff states that stuff expands to fill the available space, be it hard drives, shelves, rooms or houses.
I know that feeling, looking at the stuff on shelves and thinking "Oh, that doesn't look too bad'....then have a mountain of boxes to hold it all

I have worked for a moving company for over a decade now. Just wanted to say customers like you who actually put thought into having everything ready to go for the movers are the best type of customer it really shows your character!! Sometimes you show up nothings ready at all and the people act like they forgot they were moving even though most jobs are booked a month or more ahead of time 😂😂

As someone who was finally able to build a pc, seeing all the parts everywhere kinda haphazardly thrown around made me speechless, i was so gentle and babied everything even the fans XD
This space is looking great...like the feet!
The one takeaway I'm garnering from this video is there is absolutely no good reason not to overdo cable management, or else my under desk area will look like Dawid's. Also, I really need more computer junk cluttering my workshop, just in case I need it for all the videos I'm not making. Who knows when a neighbor might try to overclock their GT730 video card and need an emergency replacement so they can pay their CPAP supply bill.

It's so weird watching this. You moving INTO that office feels like it was yesterday. The room that will not be mentioned was the room I was the most excited for, it looked like it had a lot of potential. It's crazy how fast time flies sometimes.

Very happy for you both to be moving from the cave into a new space with room to stretch a bit. Your past videos were impressively filmed to minimize seeing the old clutter.

The new space will be a nice upgrade and if you need to clean some junk you can always send me some fans. The ones in my tower are all over 10 years old and slowly failing but it was all I had and my PC was built with whatever parts I could afford at the time.
Manufacturers sometimes make boxes look so nice it's almost a shame not to keep them.
I think the video was both interesting and informative. It shows the natural progression of a filming and computer dissection space. Keep up the good work. The "fishtank" is bigger now so the pressure of timelines and overall stress will drop as you get settled in.

Well done on the new space, lots of room for activities, looking forward. But ya moving is always an exhausting time, last year I had to move to a smaller place and it really makes you think "do I really need this" or where the hell am I going to fit that"....
