I saw this this tour in Ireland and the bassist said "one day this can all be yours." while pointing at a picture of a giant pizza on the screen behind the drums. Great times.
I like to think nothing could ever shake my love for the Melvins and my intense year-after-year lust for their live presence in my city, but it definitely helps that my first show was during this time. For a band with virtually meaningless lyrics and constantly self-cannibalizing song structures and ideas, something REALLY fucking resonated with this line-up and my eighteen-year-old brain.
I probably revisit this video once a month for the last 12 years, now. That bass tone, OMG. Now, less than a month from seeing The Melvins live for the first time, I can't wait to be on the front row, heandbanging like those lucky bastards out there.
I saw mastodon tour there leviathan album and they did a cover of this for their encore !!!! It was good but nothing beats the Melvin’s live ! Best live band experience I have saw ! I have saw them live 3 times and each time they just got better!!!!!
I saw this line up in Manchester uk a few years ago, fucking perfect, also saw the Steve McDonald version as well, again, fucking perfect, sublime live band :)
@martin7viola they do prefer smaller places. Buzz has said in an interview htat he doesnt think music should be heard in places with larger than 500 capacity.
After/while hearing this i went looking to buy but can`t seem to find under " Melvins live in Belgium" and one website said that it hasn`t been released yet....Where can i buy a copy of this????
I'm not a cunt because i was there, this is filmed in a great club called De Kreun, in Kortrijk, Belgium. Check 4x4music.eu for more gigs that have been filmed there, like Shrinebuilder!
I like only one song Slayer - "Wicked"/ sounds too match like Melvins. Other too fast and trashmetal, like early Ministry/ need more slow bass and distortion/
I never got into their albums in the early/mid 90's. Lived above a metal/rock club. Made a band. Opened for our heroes, see our heroes with our friends band opening. Saw some unreal shows, going back to Husker Du, Black Flag days. And met many cool people/bands, BUT NEVER GOT TO SEE THE MELVINS LIVE! What a difference that might have made! Woulda loved to see them! They were touring with Nirvana for awhile. If on club tour, I would have been blessed, surely. Love to hear some old, live stuff! If seen em like this, I would have gotten it! And learned much. We were a sloppy Melvins, to give you a hint. And sloppy is not the Melvins! Tight as it gets! Now I get it! They don't even need 3 chords, 2 is fine, and tighter, more ferocious and heavier than any speed/death metal! I use to hear that they played so slow, they'd empty the club! Always a bands band. Like Soundgarden. Who? But every band knew! Same with the Melvins. Every line up I've seen live on RUclips has been great! I'll have to look for some older, live stuff! Any recommendations?
To copy The Grateful Dead and get that fan base following them. Similar musical styles. Tone, clean, much interaction and improvising jams! Grateful Dead wanna be band. Does that make sense? It shouldn't! 2 heads are better than one. 8 limbs are better than 4. But like The Dead, drummers aren't mirroring each other, but adding to, like one drummer, 8 limbs. Melvins do this as well. Complementing each other, building each other up! Very well done, and way more complex/complicated than most any band seen with 2 drummers, as part of the act, playing the same thing. If one screws up, the others there playing the same simple beat. Very smart band! Who know exactly what they're doing, at all times. And make it look easy! Heaviest, tightest, and way more brutal than any Death Metal!
Kickass music! Probably, as most times, unfortunately, the venue turns itself into a sauna, when the crowd is tight. But honestly, what made me smile a bit, is the obviously non-balanced "hard work" to play, perform this music, I mean THIS song live..Obviously the drummer is sweating his ass off beating the shit out of that box, while the other band members seem to have quite a chill time ;)
Like Jerry Garcia in The Dead. 1st one off stage before drums/space section! And if you get that, you're very musically aware! Joke, but yeah, Jerry always left at that time of the 2nd set! Good one! Lol!
Whole show, high quality, available? I'm subscribed, but haven't checked all your stuff. Was this ever released in high quality sound? Whole show? Really excellent! Great! Love HQ versions!
"You either love the Melvins or you're wrong!"
I saw this this tour in Ireland and the bassist said "one day this can all be yours." while pointing at a picture of a giant pizza on the screen behind the drums. Great times.
the humor of Melvins and Co. is a main reason of my fandom
The best formation of the Melvin’s 🙏☺️☮️
Amazing how such a heavy riff can still be made since heavy riffs started.
This was the best era of live Melvins.
By far

I couldn't go.. my friends did.. they remind me all the time. This is immense.
I never fully appreciated just how heavy the Melvins are, great track, i love their songs more every day.
The Big Business Melvins absolutely kill it.
That bass distortion!
That guitar and bass tone ,drums gold in unison!

I attended this awesome concert. According to my notes the date was 10 december 2009.
It's so great to see a fellow lefthanded drummer!!
The voice, the BASS, the guitar, and the DRUMS...it's just absolute perfection.
The Melvins? The Melvins! I don’t know what to say. They’re unbelievable again and again and again.
In this Video some good camera work. Thank you!

Best Melvins line up ever...with the guys of Big Bussiness.
Loudest band I’ve ever seen - but so worth the tinnitus afterwards 🤘🙉🤘
so insanely good
Never underestimate the heaviness of the riff. ☝️🧐 All hail the melvins. 🫡

@moshtop CONGRATULATIONS!
Ese bajo suena como guitarra joder!! Melvins is Real Doom!!
Omg what is that bassist using?
Pure fucking sexual energy. The bass isn't even plugged in.
Cause The Melvins always were there.....
Buzz has the secret ingredient for heavy riffs.
After/while hearing this i went looking to buy but can`t seem to find under " Melvins live in Belgium" and one website said that it hasn`t been released yet....Where can i buy a copy of this????
I love seeing Buzz as MuMulluminati.

present as well... one of our best clubs indeed!
anyone know what song Jared's singing at the end of this?
miss to see him Rocking his Black beauty of Honor
cool intro anyway
King Buzzo should do a song with slayer - his vocals would be perfect
I like only one song Slayer - "Wicked"/ sounds too match like Melvins. Other too fast and trashmetal, like early Ministry/ need more slow bass and distortion/
He did an Slayer medley with Fantomas, his side project. Check it out!
Bout the only person who could make Slayer heavier.
All of their old stuff is so much better with Jared and Coady.

Why not dance to the musique?
fucking yes, bass destroyed my right ear
dale somehow does more with an assistant
How many cupcakes can Dale eat? How many must that man eat on tour just to stay alive? Does he get citrus? Scurvy is a great concern to many.
So fucking heavy. ...so fucking heavy.
METAL in a MUUMUU
I always begin mowing my lawn to this song.
They could not find three.....
But i thought they never wanted more than three?
title says 2009, comment says 2010 and playing at says 2011... so when was this really?
yyzable 20384020b.c.
why do they have two drummers?
HellomynameisN To kick twice as much ass!!! FFS!
To copy The Grateful Dead and get that fan base following them. Similar musical styles. Tone, clean, much interaction and improvising jams! Grateful Dead wanna be band. Does that make sense? @@timturk1899 it's never occurred to me how much these guys have mirrored the Dead. Now that I think of it, Buzzo is really just a sludged out Jerry
If I remember correctly Kurt Cobain produced this song for the Melvins
padres del grunge
Rrrrrrriiiiiippppppeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr
5:05 holy shit

Where is Patton?
Doing stuff with FNM maybe?......his band? :)
Why is Zack Galifinackis playing bass???
Did buzz have to go take a dump or something?
Like Jerry Garcia in The Dead. 1st one off stage before drums/space section! And if you get that, you're very musically aware! Joke, but yeah, Jerry always left at that time of the 2nd set! Good one! Lol!
2009... course
