Wow I can't believe Home Sweet Home Alone was #1 this year! Honestly not surprised though, stellar cast and acting all around, what an amazing film! I honestly think this is one of those rare landmarks in cinematic history.
Definitely a film that I feel many either love or hate with very few in the middle. It’s concept is either something you’re on board with or you’re not. I love it!

Red Rocket was an amazing surprise. It’s set and filmed in the town I grew up in and currently live in. I didn’t know this going in. Every shot was taken in, for me, tenfold because every shot was set where I grew up and I have visceral memories of things that helped shape me. I couldn’t connect more with a movie than I did this one. I’m someone from Texas City who’s left and trying to make it in a world of entertainment (albeit a very different form of entertainment). It was an amazing mirror to see.

I really enjoyed “Flee”. It was heartwarming, but also extremely hardcore. I thought it was a great idea to use animation because of the pleasing visuals and subjective view on war, you wouldn’t be able to recreate with live-action. The film felt very personal, vulnerable and real, it made me cry. It is an animated interview so you hear the persons real voice, which I found very powerful, but the English voice actors are also great. Such a fine film, very unique💟

I always love watching these videos and learning the opinion of an actual film kid. I adored Dune, but my favorite this year was probably Illusions Perdues directed by Xavier Giannoli, adapted from the same book by Honoré de Balzac. It's just a near perfect movie. I saw it twice. The first time, I was just amazed by everything in it. The second time I watched it, it depressed me to no end. Excellent movie going experience. If you can watch it, I huuugely recommend it!!

Omg I have eczema on my eyelid & forehead and I kid you not out of all of the expensive prescription creams I’ve tried the best one I’ve had I bought at the dollar tree. It works the best for my face. All the prescribed ones I’ve had have irritated it in some way. This year was insanely hard to decide the top movies, but for me I’d say my top 5 are: The French Disatch, Spencer, Bo Burnhams Inside, C’mon C’mon, and lastly at number one Nine Days, all amazing films
Nine Days is on my Top 20. I haven’t met anyone else who’s seen it. It’s such an original and powerful story.
