Meeting Tom was a real treat. He has the right mindset for a novice driver. No ego, no attitude, just eagerness to have fun and learn a new skill. Any day at the track is a good day, but this one was especially memorable.
Riding passenger you want them super tight because your just reacting to the way the car is moving so you get tossed. It’s easier when the driver is experienced because you can predict what’s coming. New drivers throw you around in the seat
So happy to finally see Tom driving the e46. Can’t wait for more. Also I think In future clips featuring Tom on the track, don’t play music during the driving footage. Much cooler hearing the sounds the car makes.
@@skyricq only time I’ve ever slid on black ice was coming down a mountain and I nearly watched my friend’s car in front of me spin off a cliff right after my car nearly did, definitely wasn’t fun in that instance lmao
Agreed that correction for the over correction when the back flicked out was impressive. That or he just sht his pants. If this thing has a 2 way he definitely did well to get it back straight.

This needed to be at least 15 minutes long. I recently drove a Lamborghini on track for the first time as a birthday experience. Life long goal and it was SO much harder than I imagined. Takes incredible focus and rewiring your senses to drive fast and accurately.

@3:17 I’m in the background next to our ChampCar Datsun 280zx lol. We were out there that day shaking it down before the 8+7hr enduro a few weeks later. Tom was quick, until he lost it trying to chase me down in T10 😂 great seeing him out there, welcome to the world of Motorsport!
