Chair Pilates Cardio Workout for Seniors & Beginners // Feel Good Seated Exercises

- Thanks for joining me for this seated full body pilates workout. These exercises are perfect for achy joints and for anyone who is not comfortable getting on the floor. All moves are low impact and are great for improving posture, cardio fitness, mobility and flexibility.
You will love this workout if you have done my other seated workout videos especially chair yoga.
Large movements at a slightly quicker pace with help increase the heart rate making this workout great for your cardio heart health! As always go at your own pace and you do you!

Lauren, just wanted you to know that my 87 year old Mom who passed away from pancreatic cancer in January 2023, exercised with you for 2 years with 3 of her daughters joining in via zoom. My mom exercised with you until 1 month before she passed. She took exercising with you very seriously, and we all benefited as we chatted and laughed and exercised together through covid lockdown and my Mom's illness, until she went to heaven. Thank you for your smiles and for safe exercising that didn't cause any injuries to any of us. You are a blessing!

I am 47 years old. I have Spina Bifida, and mostly use a wheelchair. I walked with crutches when I was younger, but with age and a LOT of weight gain, I have become a lot less mobile than I used to be. My legs have gotten weaker over the years, as has my core. This makes using my crutches much more of a challenge. I have had periodic physical therapy over the years, but insurance only pays for something like 6 visits a year. After that I am left with the paper handouts to try and do the exercises on my own. I have injured one of my knees in falls a few times over the years, so that's been an issue. In all the years of physical therapy I have done, NOTHING has given me the results that I have gotten from following along with this video. I have done it almost daily for the past 4 months, and I ABSOLUTELY notice a difference.... my core is stronger, as are my quads, and I'm standing up straighter when I use my crutches, and am able to once again pick my feet up for a step. Thank you so much for this video... it has been AMAZING for me, and I share it on social media all the time, for my disabled friends and my elderly parents. Thank you!

I fractured my spine last year and have had a spine operation for a titanium cage with Vertebrae, and my consultant said a couple of weeks ago that I need to start exercising. So I have been searching for some exercises and yours are the best so far. Thank you for sharing 😊

Lauren, Your fitness videos are just incredible. They are peppered with the right amount of stretches, suitable for Senior citizens like us and the right amount of moves to increase cardio. But what really sets apart your videos from others is ... Your demonstration, your explanation and of course your soothing voice adds to creating a very motivating mindset. In our lives, we get hooked to so many things, many harmful to our minds and bodies and probably this is the first time, i can proudly say, i am hooked to something extremely good for our bodies and mind and thoroughly enjoying the process. Spent all day on my feet yesterday, but rather than not exercise, I did this! I am proud of myself for pressing forward in a safe way and so thankful you include these chair workouts! They are challenging and I was able to do exercises I couldn't do before!! Forward. Progress!

I have been doing this workout for about 2 weeks and love it. I shared it with a family member. I combine this with my Abdoer machine workout. I had injured my left hip flexor by over doing it with my elliptical machine and treadmill. My orthopedic doctor approved of this new, low impact routine.

I felt tired today because of the scorching heat before I started your class. Yet your sweet voice and the design of the program have completely wake my body up, now I am eager to start your other class of my choice. Hello, I recently fell while walking my dog and broke my wrist. I am 62 and I weigh 200 pounds; it was a pretty bad break. I have been following your channel for a few years now and your standing workouts have kept me moving while I’m recovering. I’m looking forward to being able to use weights again one day, but in the meantime I appreciate you and the way your workouts help me to keep moving and stay positive.

Lauren, thanks for this great chair Pilates video! This is definitely one of my faves. Genius to combine stretches- in a chair- with a cardio element. Don’t let the long leg stretches scare you; your legs will love them.

I usually avoid Pilates because it hurts my back and neck but this one was a gem. I followed up with your Chair Exercises for Seniors 10 Minute Ab & Core Seated Workout which felt wonderful and again did not hurt my neck like lying on the floor abs does. Thanks for doing these Lauren!

Thank you for your video series. I broke my humerus bone on April 8th and obviously can't go to the gym. I've been in a real funk and have been afraid of undoing all the hard work I've done at the gym. I have to modify anything that requires using my left arm but I can proudly say I can do 20 minutes before my arm starts aching. I love your stage presence and look forward to continuing your videos even after I'm healed. 💚

First time trying anything like this 72 in December and hip and shoulder pain, both improved after just 3 sessions, have recommended you to a friend too. I’ve always loved Pilates but was unable to do it anymore because of my knees. I started getting pain again and looked up chair exercises and chose yours. I love them. What a great workout! Thank you for doing this for us seniors that can’t get on the floor. I look forward to this every day and sometimes twice! It has helped my knee pain to be manageable.

This was a great workout. I did find the bicycle one difficult. Before Covid I belonged to a gym. I recently gave my membership up. I have found you are way better than the instructors at my gym (considered a prime gym) and it is so much more convenient to do the exercises in my house.

That felt soooo good! The moves at 12:00, Crazy how that just releases so much tension in my hips. Ill be doing that one every day. I love anything with leg extensions. This was a good video to help one not sink in their hips.

Hi Lauren, this was quite a challenge for me as a 73 year old with joint stiffness and pain; but the leg moves can help
