I grew up in the Oxnard Ventura area in the 1960s and 70s. Started out got a basket case $300 Indian chief. Met some guys in the Hessians bike club. It was a fun and wild time back then. I'm still riding bikes now in my 70s. Was in one club for awhile. Nothing but great memories
George you definitely have the best Outlaw biker RUclips channel. Your stories and content are so interesting and educational. Great job. Im hooked. Thanks
I was stationed at PT.Mugu (79-82) Naval Air station and I lived in Camarillo for a while. Not far from the State mental hospital...lol. I hung out with a bunch of local surfers as well. I flew back to Ohio, me and my dad rode our motorcycles from Dayton to Malibu/Pt. Mugu. Great ride. rode up and down PCH1 from there to San Diego for about 3.5 years. I was in heaven. My local gig was Hollywood & Silver strand beach. Sweet and low key. The beach comber bar! 🍻 Good times George lol
Thank you George Christie.. You chose your route in life and you went with it.. I dont know if you have an episode on it but would love a breakdown in detail of all the bikes you have owned over the years from first to now. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪 🤘🏻
My new favorite RUclips channel… learning, loving.. living free as you can your way, on your terms, n I’d do it all the same again only bigger n better. People like us can’t live any other way.. I’d rather be fkin dead!👊🏼✌️
I just watched your interview with Jay Dobbyns. Two intelligent straight up guys with no fear of conversation. I grew up in Mountain View along with “Dirty” Doug Bontempi and Danny “Reb” Maupin. Later in life I lived in Sonoma County and interaction with Ray Ray Foakes and much more importantly with his latest H A victim who’s name will not be mentioned. Back in the 1960’s me and a bunch of buddies were partying at an old ranch house in the middle of 20 acres in Mountain View when a red convertible Sun Beam rolled up with two full patch and one Prospect H A. They ran down how they liked the house and they were taking over. We could stay or go and if we got physical they would be back. Only one of my group stayed. It took two years to get them out. When they left they blew up the house. While they were there two H A propaganda Hollywood movies were made using the ranch house and a lot of Mountain View locations. This all was a big deal a to bunch of local teenagers who thought they were bad until the Sun Beam rolled up. Do you have any memory of this or did you hear about it? My best friend and I later bought our first Harley shortly after and still ride 59 years later. Sorry for long comment but it is a great memory.
George, your parents were my parents. My parents would do anything, and I mean anything, to protect me and my sisters. I have 5 kids and find myself doing the same things now for my kids.Mike the Greek
I grew up in the 60s in a blue collar section of Baltimore. We worshiped the surfers and MC culture. Problem was the nearest beach was 160 miles away with lousy waves and there were no MCs. My friends I often said we wished we lived in California. Here it was all about cars. I’m now 71 and have the rare occasion to run into one percenters and quite frankly I’m star struck and awe stricken. In my youth they were the fabric of legend and much like mythical heroes we read about and saw on film. I see them as living American Icons. My last dream is to buy a bike and roar off to who knows where and if fortunate enough ride among them. 🇺🇸🔥⚡️💀⚡️🔥
That Sir is an amazing video! You have such a great way of describing everything; it really makes you feel like you’re right there viewing it all. Thank you!
the bikers and the surfers back then were good people... they both had a bunch of big daddy roth in 'em. neither bunch were nazis at all, despite the maltese croses, german helmets, and swastikas. just liked messin' with the squares. if you ever saw the 'waves' in massachusetts, you'd know why i got into indians and harleys.
Glad your sharing your story Have seem on other interviews & looking forward to others.Over the yrs your reputation has been complex. I am interested in listening to your stories, intriguing perspectives on many situations you have experienced. I have j been around since Sonny came to AZ & stripped patches from a local Club. I have seen how different charters treat each other tho I’m not sure why that actually benefits the HA has a whole ??? I got into a trouble with a member in a charter & got trashed by him at a clubhouse from a MC Club & verbally was threatening my him & kicked out. But confused & scared. Other 2 charters were ok with me & continued to invite me to there events & one of them got me home after I was kicked out. I was NOT involved sexually with any member but knew several bec of the tattoo contests in AZ , Prison Run, Laughlin Run & Premiere of Sonny’s movie “Dead In 5 Heartbeats” & lost a job because of pics of being with them at several locations they said “affiliate of them” & stopped many times going to Phx & back. My best gf was going out with a member which was non of anyone business as I see it. You sound very different from Sonny when I have heard u speak 😂. Wishing u lots of great times with your podcast & in your private life & future with your with your wife & family always nice to see u being so happy & inspiring to your audience ‼️🏍️🏍️🙏🏽😎🇺🇸‼️🌹
Funny, I hit the translate button on AFFA and oddly enough it means forgiveness. Not sure what language though. Just found that kind of funny. Even though I know what AFFA means in biker world.

What was your first bike, and how old were you when you got it? What was it like getting your motorcycle license, the first time?
