    Thank God I'm retired. 25 yrs. collision free. Drank beer and smoked a joint when ever I could off duty. I'm proud of my driving history. I stand by every mile I drove. What a sad world.

    Thanks, Brandon for an informative video. What if the truck was towed away due to damage but the officer discovered no violation from driver's side and did not require the driver to take the post-accident drug test?

      Thanks for watching! If your driver wasn’t cited in a towaway accident, no drug/alcohol test is required.

    Brandon, Is there officially any type of certification necessary or required to offer DOT compliance services? I am a retired O/O and have consulting others (informally, just as a courtesy, no charge) regarding their compliance requirements and even helping with IFTA.
    Although it's not rocket science (just a lot of researching), it can all be very confusing, even almost a full time job just keeping up with all the policy changes, as you well know!
    I was considering setting this up as a business itself, but my concern is not only requirements for offering my services legally, but liabilty issues I may run into as well, Thanks.

      Hey, Hunter. No, there’s no certification or license that you need to offer consulting services. That said, probably best to set up a business entity and look into professional liability insurance.

    Hi, so non CDL drivers are required to obtain tests even though fatality, injury or towaway with citation occurred? Thanks

    • @Trucksafe
      @Trucksafe  Год назад +1

      Yeah, the federal regulations don’t require testing of non-CDL drivers regardless of the severity of the accident. That said, some carriers do their own non-DOT testing voluntarily.
