Back when I was driving 8 wheelers there were lots nicer to drive but, boy oh boy was the MAN one tough truck that had great traction in landfill sites. That said my favourite to drive as an all rounder was DAF CF 380 or 430. New CF had just arrived in 02 and it was such a looker.
I think that this was made for a European (Union) audience in mind, who are looking at buying trucks made in Western Europe and Sweden. I know that Hino heavy-duty trucks were once offered in the United Kingdom, but it seems like that Hino doesn't have a big heavy duty truck presence in the European Union or most of Europe for that matter (save for some of the less-developed parts of Europe such as Eastern Europe and the Balkans).
Mine was a Volvo F7.....8x4 horrendously bad....Next truck was an FL 10 in 1988 brand new it was when I got it 30 mile on the clock drove it out the dealers.. F769 JTY difference was night and day
It's not like the old days they were all different back in the day, now everyone has take all the best bits the other manufacturers were good or better at and addappted it in there own trucks,, so yes it would be hard to find a winner... They are all very refined now,, it's the Driver that's the main factor now not the truck...
+Johan Berg In our fleet we HAVE 1 MB Actros, 2 Volvo FH 13, 480hp. We spent more money for repairs and spare parts for that two Volvo's, then for 10 MAN TGX !
Hammerhead Beer Reviews If this is the problem. then it is not. I am speaking from a technical point of view that MAN trucks in operation at least from the failure of all other trucks (Scania do not know, but I know it is very expensive to maintain and the parts are much more expensive than for MAN)
Johan Berg Belgrade-Sankt-Peterburg Belgrade, the whole circuit is about 5000 km, only this year I drove MAN TGX 18.440 (with chip tuning have 500 hp) 3 times. We have MAN TGA from 2005 & 2006 years. They have more than one million kilometers without any problems!!!
+Hammerhead Beer Reviews automatic gear box ((AS Tronic grom ZTF) si most powerfull details on truck. For example owners MAN, DAf, Iveco trucks with manual gear box must change clutch set grom 550.000 to 650.000km. On AS TRONIC gear box we changed clutch set from 850.000 to 950.000km. You have got to be on drugs!! Scania won.. DAF are Gash in an 8X4, Scania make great bendy trucks but not 8x4.. can't comment on MAN or Merc , Reno I hope the build has improved.. If Foden were still hear they'd beat everything.. But alas Volvo wins..
@@georgebrassington8565 Best performing truck I had was Alpha 405 Cummings, 6 years, 750kms not a spanner or drop of oil between services. Replaced it with 420 Premium which was utter crap, replaced that with 460 XF which wasn't a patch on the Alpha.
Why have they opted in case of the Actros for one of the weakest models on the market. The OM 473 LA can deliver up to 625 HP, almost twice than this crap model. So much for a fair comparision.
Kishan Praco no. they use Daf cabine and engine at Phoenix models, a good combination indeed, but they also produce their own engine and cabine. The air-cooled engine, a trie masterpiece, for ternno1 models
Renault has the same engine, the same gearbox, the same drive as FMX. The only difference is the body. Now read your list again and see how ridiculous it is.
I have to disagree with you there. In my last job I basicly swaped car with another driver every day, so I hav driven alot of both Volvo and Scania, and the only reason i would choose a Volvo is becouse of the brilliant gearbox. but the driving capebilities and the comfort in Scania is something Volvo would never come close to.
theweescot - Have to disagree I'm afraid - not saying the Volvo is no good - they are very good - but I always found Scania to have the edge over Volvos..always and in most things. It may be that the FH would have a better ride than the Scania, but not by much. Power, economy, reliability, ease of operation - Scania hands down
MEECEDES SK THE BEST DUMPER TRUCK OF ALL TIMES
The king of the road .... simple and solid

NO IVECO?😡😡
Volvo fmx the king of road
You forgot IVECO.
these are the "best selling" trucks, iveco probably isn't compatible for this list.
If there was a foden it would win by a mile
I love my DAF
Nice
I'd not say heavyweight i'd say more light to medium weight
Antiala Reyener in the uk these are as heavy as they get
@@tgk300xx4 Rubbish, max UK weight is 44 tonnes, these are 32.
