The way you guys maximize interior space in those trucks is awesome. I like the idea of being able to control everything from the sleeper and that truck with the extra security door lock is pretty nice. I like our longer wheelbase trucks over here in the US but I would kill for one of those European trucks over here.
I haven't been surprised. Since the launch of new ranges, Renault Trucks continues to make surprises. Well done! After being TRUCK OF THE YEAR 2015, once more it is the champion for the comfort within the cab. Very good news for the truckers! But for the ones who have already chosen RT or the ones who will choose in the new future. Proud to contributing to the development of the brand in Turkey!
The most beautiful and aerodinamic truck is the Volvo. The Mercedes is so luxory inside. The Man is practic. The Renault has got a lot of 'shelfs' and 'boards' inside the cab. The Scania is nice not just from outside, it's beauty inside aswell. The Daf is very-very practic, i think more than the Man. ! The MAN is good aswell!!
Joe Scania Man Australia wins the pissing contest when it comes to trucks, us Europeans and the yanks are pissing in the wind! and the Aussies still have a sense of humour ✌
@@FartyMcbongos The Australian's don't make their own trucks, They import North American and European rigs and re-fit them with larger fuel tanks and refit air filters.
What a huge difference between European trucks and American trucks. I'm sure the tight spaces in the cities is a big part of it. I really like the refrigerators in some of your rigs because it lays flat and has more usable space. I have driven cab over's for many years and the layout is more user-friendly in the European trucks and most trucks in the states are a hood design but that comes with a cost of turning radius. I'm really curious about the ride in euro trucks because of the wheel base length. I enjoyed the video and Thanks for sharing.
The issue isn't the road but regulation. 16.5m (54ft) for the whole truck, 13.6m (45ft) for the trailer (on the other hand, they're heavier at 40T instead of 36T in the US). So it's the largest tractor they're allowed to use with those trailers. The turning radius is excellent at least. But otherwise, it's only a downside (bad aero, less comfortable, harder to maintain, more blind spots...) The driving is good, if the wheelbase is short, they're only allowed to drive 90kph (56mph) and the technologies compensate. The Volvo for example has an independent front air suspension with an anti-roll bar, 4 bags rear suspension, and is just well tuned. Then you add the cab air suspension and seat air suspension and it's good. They also have large tires (2*315 drive, 385 front and trailer) and air disc brake all around. So they're good on that part. The engine are usually a bit better than in the US. The Volvo has up to 750hp, the Scania a V8 with up to 730hp. The Volvo is available with a dual clutch automatic.
daf xf is my favourite from experience (only tramped in volvo, Scania and DAF so far). I'm on the top bunk of one now actually. The space is awesome, comfort is great and this top bunk would beat most lower ones!
Iveco N1 I seriously have pain in my back like everyday, until i get in this truck (look at my picture) Amazing comfort seats, and the bed is the best bed i ever slept on 2nd scania thanks to the extended bed
Everybody just says Renault is shit...Did u ever work with the Renault Range T? Because if u didn't pls dont talk shit about it. IT'S AN AWESOME TRUCK!
I can understand DAF, but MAN? Have they come that far? I know of drivers that were given free choice in what brand of truck they wanted, and they chose DAF. Heavy and robust , with lots of traction. And they handle well.
MAN is the Lion..Lion is a KING of the Road.with minimum maitenance costs, long reliable truck at last 6-7 years is the BEStT truck from TUV report! MAN ist der beste LKW. Die besten Motoren mit den besten ZTF Übertragungen Beste Armaturenbrett

Iveco used to offer a different configuration , I think it was called iveco office or something. That was great. Now i would put my vote on Volvo or Daf.
+Yusuf Kamil That can only be if you are really small, because the scania IS the smallest of those. I can't wait to see the new cabine though, it should arrive this year which means I will either get the last old one or one of the first new ones. (fingers crossed)
much admiration for you Euro trucking brother and sisters, but wow I couldn't go into a truck that small. My sleeper alone, minus the cab is 86 inches and includes a top bunk and a couch. That's not even a custom stretched job with a toliet and a shower. Good looking trucks you have over there. Seeing a cab over here is a rare treat.
You dont need 730-750 horsepower to carry 44 to 90 tons GVW im pretty sure & certain that a 660-680 can handle GVW loads in Europe without a overkill 730-750 look at Australia the trucks there does perfectly fine with 75-200 ton GVW with just 650 Horepower the only thing u only need 730-750 horsepower if your doing massive Heavyhaul loads with 325 + tons GVW
I have driven all euro 6 trucks and I must say DAF XF is one of the best truck in driving ..DAF interior and exterior is lot better then others trucks...
So those sleepers seem to be made for shorter routes than the North American style of ''house'' they carry. Maybe you could make another test with a few of them mixed in.
+Bruno Paradis That wouldn't make much sense, as North American trucks are a rarity on (Western) European roads. Euro companies buy Euro trucks, just like NA companies buy NA trucks.
they aren't made for shorter trips, they are full sized trucks for europe, they are not as big as american trucks because europe has length restrictions, the shorter the cab, the longer the trailer you can have to drive legal.
+Bas Bastiaansen exactly, in Europe the limit is 13.6m for the trailer and 16.5m for the truck, that leave 2.9m for the tractor or you need a smeller trailer. In comparison American tractors are usually 5m long as there is no regulation on the overhaul length. Only the trailer at 14.63m.
rotating seats, folding tables, eletric beds, tv, etc... these are only dreams, 1 out of 10000 company buy trucks with these extras, the rest is just the simple stock accessories ...
It’s the other way round, conventionals only exists in north and some parts of South America, the planets freight is solely moved by cab overs. You are fortunate your laws allow conventionals, for the greater space.
My only real complaint about the DAF is how the steering wheel doesn’t really move out of the way. Means you have to kinda climb around it to get out of the seat.

Kent some Scanias were sold in the late 80s and early 90s in US, they used to pop up on classifieds in the 90s. The space of the American trucks are fabulous, but drive refinement behind European trucks.
MAN is my favorite, but I do enjoy the extra safety lock and vacuum cleaner in the DAF
Buy I'd still prefer the size of American sleepers with more bells and whistles than what the Europeans out in their rigs.
I enjoy the huge MAN windshield and xxl can space
lol, and one more thing. The MAN is the most attractive European truck in my opinion, with the Volvo then the DAF following right behind.
Man bed is a back killer...i driver One 510hp tgx...the Heath coming from the frigo is annoyning...
