Thank you for letting this info be known I was disappointed when I couldn't find a rental that made sense for business. I'm now getting my CDL. This coming from a 23 year old please don't just jump on the easy route just bc someone else making it look easy. Work & keep your spirits high because these loads aren't going anywhere.

I went to the office and got my permit. The ladies that was working there said that the ACTUAL last day is the 4th of February. Because the new rule BEGIN on the 7th. But thank you though bc I went and got mines.

Most of the rental trucks have ELD's already installed on them. They can check the mileage remotely. I Rented a box truck for $400 a week, . 10c a mile. I just turned the truck in, after a year lease. I made profit.. but not much. I really wanted to learn the logistics game.. from a trucker side. I started a Dispatch company.. We dispatch for 7 trucks now. I also run 2 trucks for two separate investors, that want to be hands off of the trucking business. Things are looking up.
The point is.. stay away from Box Truck rentals. People are cappin' talking about they are renting and making a profit. They may be making a profit... but it's not much.

And im getting a $800/week .15 cents per mile with no limit on mileage. Now that i watched your video i will double check with them because this can definetely take you out of business specially with all these miles cap and limitations on renting. Trucks are overprized by too much to buy right now.

@@TruckinginJs i have checked so many already, an ok truck will cost over $60k as you said. I will rent from them a few months and hopefully finance a new or close to new truck. My guy from enterprise said there is no limit on mileage so fingers crossed. Keep those videos coming! I appreciate your honesty.

Upstart is who we went through. It was the quickest. High interest rate but have a plan in place to pay it off ASAP! It's a simple interest loan.

You won't have to pay registration with a rental but the down payment on the insurance will be based on your driving record.

Actually some rental branches don’t have mileage caps. The enterprise I rented from loved the fact that I drove a lot of miles and paid them about $3k a month
But you were honest about your miles. Some are dishonest so they aren’t paying as much based on their mileage.
@@TruckinginJs yes I reported mileage every single week. They were amazed that I would drive so much but never complained bc I paid them on time. Please don’t be the Debbie downer, a lot of people need rentals to jump start their business. Everyone doesn’t have $20k down and a 700 credit score.
I’m sorry if you didn’t listen to the entire video or missed the part stating there is absolutely nothing wrong with renting a truck. The issue is when people are telling new owners to be dishonest about their mileage and they are banned from renting from that particular company. No where in the video did anyone mention a $20k down payment. I hope that you are able to continue to thrive in your business and watch entire RUclips videos prior to commenting.
I watched your entire video and I know you’re actually trying to do good. But I never saw you rent a truck in your videos so how can you speak on what to watch out for? You said that no rental company is going to allow you to drive without a mileage cap which is false negative information. Stop spreading that false info you never rented from every rental company
So if you watched you would know that we never said anything bad about renting a truck. You’ve never seen us do a lot but that doesn’t mean we haven’t done it. Have we inquired about renting a truck…yes. Have we ran into issues with attempting to rent…yes due to truck shortages. I will say it one more time..the issue is people telling new owners to be dishonest about mileage and those people have been banned. There are mileage restrictions such as paying per mile. It’s not spreading anything false by letting people know to be careful with reporting incorrect miles to a rental company.
