I think Virgil did a master’s class and left it with us - he talking about using technology to multitask, having multiple brands, how to 10x your bag, having a system that you can template and repeat and how to get into your hyper focused creative zone at will to do your work.

Agree though without cutting anything out - there was a better way he could of tied these references together with things like national/international identity, tribes, "battle" and the clothes those parties wear - which relates to army, atheletes/sports players
I didn't Virgil helped encourage the development of hypeland and the advice he gave was really helpful and something to even think about.

It’s said that Hemingway would leave a sentence half finished for the next day so with that in mind, he knew how to finish it and I guess that alone would create momentum in the easiest way thus eliminating resistance. Resistance is usually the enemy of creatives.
After he passed, I did a "deep dive" on Virgil to give a presentation about his work at my company. He really is inspiring. I didn't find this bit about a personal design language. Thanks for the video.

I’m glad I seen this I dropped my first product from my brand not too long ago but I’ve been trying to figure out the direction I wanna go with the brand and I’m so creative that my ideas and designs are all over the place
Creative minds and chaos go hand in hand together. Learn to control and direct your thoughts, perhaps through meditation. The creativity will flow purposefully like never before.

I don’t think I ever fully appreciated what Virgil has done until watching this. I used to always think his designs were just “decent” and never understood why he had so much influence on the youth culture. This makes more sense, even dating wayyyyy back to Pyrex23, Virgil has been a pillar in the fashion community. He will continue to inspire the youth for generations.
Virgil is an inspiration to all creative minds.
