A really cool shot would be to clamp the camera to the rear axle tube facing forward. This way you see the trailer move up and down vs. the axles. Awesome trailer!

That’s a great idea! I’ll do that next time I use the trailer. Thanks!!!

When that's the only complaint you know it's a good trailer

Gatormade builds a good trailer in my opinion and I seriously considered buying one a little over a year ago but I went and hooked up to a neighbor’s just to make sure before I placed the order and found that with my F-550 with a 14’ utility body plus a 8” step bumper that Gatormade’s necks are shorter than some other competitor’s trailers. I could have pulled it but would have always been nervous about hanging the bumper on the steps on the front of the trailer, especially off road. Hooked to a buddy’s Diamond C and found that their neck is not only longer but taller. I could stand up straight and walk between the rear of my truck and the front of the trailer while in a 45* turn! I was amazed but you pay a premium for the Diamond C.

I haven’t had any clearance issues with it yet but I just have a regular pickup bed. I do wish the neck were taller though. I’ve hit my head more than a few times on it! I didn’t even think about that when I was looking at different trailers. Those Diamond C trailers are nice!

What’s that trailer weigh. I’m looking at getting another Gatormade. I need a tandem dual to haul my mini.

I don’t know exactly but I believe it’s around 8000LBS empty. What size mini do you have? They had several different goosenecks available when I was down there.

@@MountainMindset it’s the bobcat e50. I came up there to Somerset bought my 30’ 16k there in Somerset. Bought it from a guy named Sid. Beautiful country up there. Yeah they have several. I wish they would put the weights online. I just got an f250. Would love to get a bigger truck but it is what it is. It will be border line with an 8k lb trailer to be anywhere close to legal I believe if I’m thinking right. Depends on how much tongue weight I guess that it would end up having. Machine weighs 12k

@@briangammons8242 that’s a nice machine. With this trailer and a 12k machine you’re probably looking at 3-4K in tongue weight if I were guessing. I’m no expert and have no idea if that’s correct but seems like a gooseneck should have around 20% of the trailers total weight as tongue weight. I’m sure Gatormade could probably tell you better. They do have a 20k rated gooseneck with I believe 8k single wheel axles under it that would probably suit your machine well. It has the 17.5” wheels and tires on it. It’s not as heavy as this trailer either. Should have less tongue weight as well. Hope this helps. Let us know if you end up with a new trailer! 👍🏻 (Edit) - I looked at my paperwork and it says my trailer weighs 7420 lbs.

LOL . Squat = squish . Maybe block truck Axle , If that's all holding unit from rolling away + Park break ! Safety First !

Lol. The park brake was set too. This trailer doesn’t lift up on the truck as bad as my other trailer does. It’s way better actually. I don’t want to be one of those guys that load a trailer and the whole unit takes off! 🤣 Thanks for watching! 👍🏻
