Can't go wrong with a VT 750 owned mine for 7 years, its the last of the carb models, certainly no fire ball but little difference in power between it and the later fuel injected models which are still no fire balls, but not what they are made for. Honda have been making them in various marques since the early nineties, excellent video none the less, have mates who ride Harleys and Dukes, always have their hands in their pockets paying out money when things go wrong which is quite often. Myself I would not touch a Harley or Duke, give me a Honda VT 750 any day, cheap to run and simple to maintain. Not the fastest on the road for their capacity by any means but comfortable and RELIABLE! and a very civilized well sorted bike.

i gave up bikes due to health reasons but it shits me not riding so im loking at these vt750s
i recon i will get one so when im having a good day i can go for a ride
Nice! Anything to keep riding and not be in pain, that's why I got my Intruder. The audio is perfect, just enough wind noise to know you didn't do a voice over, and yes a Vtwin sounds heavenly.

FYI...this particular model of VT750 is recognized as a standard. High handlebars, foot pegs under the seat, no plastic or fairing body coverings. Up until the late 70's early 80's, all bikes were set up like this. Much like a classic Triumph Bonneville.

Do you still have this bike? I might be a similar rider to you, just turned 60, want something lower but comfortable to cruise the backroads at a leisurely pace. I think this RS might do the trick. And I think it's a lovely bike to look at. I actually like it better than the Sportster.
No I don’t have this bike anymore, but miss it like crazy.
Such an easy bloke to ride and just right for a leisurely cruise around the backroads, very comfortable to 👍

but i want to keep riding so im thinking one of these vt750s you are making it a bit eayeser to decide

I have back pain, and this is one of the only bikes that's comfortable for me to ride also ...

Looking to possible buy one of these the only concern id have is the breaks being a drum and single disc set up what are your thoughts?
Hi, personally I think the brake are quite adequate for the bike as it’s certainly not a speed machine.
The drum brake on the rear has excellent feel and stops very well, would prefer it if it had abs but you can’t have everything.
In summary it’s and excellent bike for cruising and very comfortable.
Hi Sparky, Enjoyed your review. After a lifetime on bikes, I too have pain in certain pains in certain areas! I've looked at the VT. Being a 7 year old bike when you bought it, did you have any reliability problems? If so, any problems with spares? Do you still own it?

iniakpmarc28 hi, thanks for watching the video and I’m glad you enjoyed it. The VT was completely reliable with no problems what so ever, sadly I’m no longer riding due to a serious accident but if I could still ride I’d have another VT in a heartbeat. Ride safe 👍

Nice machine. Is it more comfortable seating wise when riding those cruisers compared to say a retro standard motorcycle like a Mash 400, Moto Guzzi V7, etc, eg seat height around 760mm-790mm by comparison?
Gary K yes it’s a very comfortable bike with a very low seat height, the rider triangle is very nice with your legs at 90 degrees and arms very relaxed 😎 I’d recommend it for chilled out rides 👍

Hi the vt750s was the model in the uk and the vt750rs was the us version, both exactly the same bike but for some reason Honda wanted a different name for the us version.

Sportster has less than 2 inches rear suspension. This Honda is much smoother ride.

How was it on motorways?
Hi, the bike has a top speed of around 90mph so on a motorway it will cruise happily at 70mph

It’s not scary powerful but has enough power to have some fun on and has a low seat so easy to get your feet down.
