    Your #1 is so true. I moved here from the St. Louis suburb area. I was taken aback at the friendliness of the people here in KC from the very beginning. It's what I talk about to everyone I know.

      @@livinginkansascity Cool! So, I have a quick question if you don't mind answering me. I rented a little apartment in Westport. Is there a good place to explore the city without a car? Because for while, in the first months I won't have one 😔

      @@brenooliveira4070 yea it’s going to be very difficult without a car. There’s a streetcar that goes down Main Street from River Market down to Crown Center but that’s still pretty far from Westport. There are motor scooters you can use or just the city bus which can be challenging.

    How’s the traffic from KC to liberty? Is it a bit of a drive?

      It depends. From downtown Kansas City it takes about 20 minutes to get to Liberty but Kansas City, MO is also located in Clay county in the northland right next to Liberty too.

    I'm probably moving there soon. Currently checking out apartments/condos online in the downtown area. I'll have to commute to Lenexa area but looks like the traffic isn't that bad?

      Yea you’ll only be 15 min from Lenexa if you’re downtown.

      I don't know if you've moved yet or not, but KC has many more highway miles per capita than most metros. Traffic doesn't get that bad. You might have some stop and go nonsense on 435. I'd say a 40-50 minute commute.

    So I'm watching your video and I'm thinking about moving to Kansas City next year from Las Vegas Nevada and I was wondering if you have rentals because I would really love a rental in the area that segregated like Las Vegas

    I might be moving to KC, coming from Los Angeles and have a 4 year old son. Any areas you recommend to live in? Would be commuting to Leavenworth.

      Helping someone right now who’s going to be stationed at Leavenworth with the same thing. A couple things will help determine this. Your price point/type of home and your desired commute.

      @@onicelopez571 the Kansas suburbs are nicer like Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa, Shawnee. More Hispanic people live on the Kansas side of KC

      You definitely need a car. If you’re single you’ll be bored in the burbs and should be in the city. If you have a family then the burbs are great.

    I recommend Mexican Americans to move to the Kansas City area. 30% of the KC metro is Mexican American. It’s affordable

    Being from KC and now living on the East Coast I can honestly say KC has way better drivers! KC drivers for the most part are considerate and cautious, where I now live it's just ignorant.

      I do agree KC drivers don’t seem to act like they’re on NASCAR and have more time.

      @LIVING IN KANSAS CITY I miss the simplicity, food and common courtesy of KC. You never how good you have until you move to a place where paying for parking is like paying rent, and everyone seems to thrive on being jerks. Kc has a lot of perks but it definitely had it's headaches as well. I hope you and your family can enjoy the good that is there including the Bbq, Lees summit hickory pit is still my fav!

      Well, being a Royals fan, I like KC and it’s people. But, I never been there. I just have met over the years a lot of people from KC and I tend to like the people from the Midwest a lot more than where I’m from, in the northeast part of the U.S. Maybe someday, I’ll check out KC. Anyway, how can you not like George Brett and the Royals. To all the people from KC, all my best! You guys got style & class!

      My family lived in briarcliff. I am from CA and think briarcliff is great. My brother was an attorney.he loved the area

    Gonna be moving to KCMO, when I get out of the Army. I honestly can't wait
    Also, #1 is hella accurate. I'm from the south and people, in KC, are friendlier. I love the people of KC

    What is the public school system like? Would it be wise to put my kids in private school if we end up moving there

      Public schools are great! All of the northland, out east would be blue springs and lees summit and all of Johnson county Kansas

      A lot of kcmo public schools are pretty garbage, in the city area, but otherwise they're excellent. Especially KS

      I would highly recommend you do not put your kids in the Kansas City, MO or Kansas City, KS school system. Yes, the suburb districts are fine but Kansas City, MO and KS districts are horrible. For years, the Kansas City, MO school district was not even accredited.

      Kansas City has a great Hispanic Community. Do your research. KC metro is 30% Hispanics. Just vote Republican 🔴🇲🇽

      Depends. Parts of KS are very different from each other and also MO. A lot of factors play. Family, occupation, recreation, budget ect

      It sure is! Many international students come to Kansas City both on the high school and collegiate level. Park University, UMKC are a couple that come to mind as well as North Kansas City has an entire international program.

      I suppose that was in the past, however, very excited to be in KC

      @@zayan1996 yea the crime is heavily concentrated into certain areas primarily where there’s a lot of poverty, gangs, drug dealers ect. It’s mostly bad guys against bad guys. The KCPD does a great job responding and keeping us safe though. The biggest concern is to just keep items out of site in your vehicle and locked up.

    How do you think it compares to NWA? We’re in Fayetteville, and we love it, but the cost of living is skyrocketing here! My husband and I are in our late 20s with a 6 year old and 3 year old. Think we’d like KC? I’m so scared to uproot because it took us so so long to find schools we like for the kids, dance studio, doctors etc and the thought of starting over is just ugh.

      I don’t really know how the market is in Fayetteville but I do know KC is a larger market so I would assume that KC would not be cheaper.

      @@livinginkansascity you think? Avg rent here is about $1800/mo for a 3 bd house and sales are about $350k+ for a 1200-1300sqft house.

      @@sarahwilson217 yea it really varies depending on what part of town you're in. Certain suburbs are lower than others and further out you get the lower the cost. Best thing to do is jump on Zillow and just look at the prices to compare.

    I was in Lawrence KS and was disappointed I didn't get to check out KCK / KCMO. City looks interesting coming from AZ.

    Lived in KC my whole life and people DO NOT know how to drive. Driving under the speed limit on the highway, not being able to stay in their lane, and herding together to box others in. Everything was accurate. Great video!

      I've driven in LA, Phoenix, Tucson, Denver, DC, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Chicago, Austin, Baltimore, STL, Wichita Portland, Miami, and Vegas... and all the small towns in between... KC has the best drivers of any of those places... so...

      Born in KCK and moved back there from Chicago Southside in 1962. Lived all over the KC metro area until 2018 now live in Milwaukee. Driving here is insane.....I miss the drivers in my home town. 🥺

      I can’t argue honestly. For the home prices it’s the best IMO but the coasts will always be ahead of the game.
