Nice review. I had a very disappointing experience with a Bergara B14 30-06 that would not group or feed in spring 2023. Gun shop took it back. I ended up with a Tikka T3X in 270 and later this summer 7 Rem Mag. Both guns shot 1” out of the box. 270 with Hornady American 140gr Whitetail (5 shots at 1.14”, Win 150gr Power Point 1.2” 3 shots). 7 Rem .9” 3 shots 175gr Core Lokt bullets and 1.2” with Win Power Point 175gr bullets. Couldn’t have asked for anything better than this.
triad tactical has a perfect stock pack I use on mine, I have the modular version and run the magazine pouch on the Velcro to the outside of the stock pack.
Great review, I have that in 7rem mag, and 260 rem, they are boringly good in a good way. Stainless barrels cope really well in the wet, unlike some other brands
This is the same rifle I bought for my kids Prince William Sound purse siener, but in 30-06, Leupold VX scope and just as much surface rust on the barrel.
I'm actually in the market looking at buying another Tikka in .300 win mag myself as I have one in 6.5 Creedmore and one Hunter in .270 and they both shoot awesome.
I have one in 7 mag, there’s a lot of plastic on these guns they are simple the stock isn’t the greatest but not bad, but the accuracy makes up for any of the other above. Under an inch and I’m not a crack shot. Hard to beat the accuracy
how to measuring this talley scope rings sizes? in official website is written, that of the medium high rings high is 0.610 inch. and this size from where to where is taken?
Nice rifle. I've got a superlite in 7mm mag. Is that just tape over the crown or is it threaded? Surely the barrel is a little too thin to take a thread safely.
How do you find the recoil? I've shot a Tikka T3x in .308. I wonder how much more felt recoil there would be with the .30-06. Does it seem much different than other .30-06s you've tried? Some people say the Tikka recoil seems higher for a given caliber.
I like this set up so well, I tried to buy that rifle today. My local Sportsman’s Warehouse is worthless, I had to leave before I could finish the paperwork. I am going to try again tomorrow at another location.
Hi, brother. I just got Tikka T3X 308 and Talley scope ring too. After I shoot 50 rounds, the mount loose. So, I am wondering did you used some Loctite on your mount's screws? Thank you, Bro.
I bought one in .270 Win at Sportsman's Warehouse for $700. I mounted the scope directly to the dovetail using Warne Maxima rings. The plastic trigger guard is a risk to breaking and that was be the first after-market replacement I made.
@@bornwildalaska5031 My Tikka Superliite in .270 Win is a tack driver with hand loads and it only took me one session at the range to dial in the perfect load with 130gr Barnes TTSX and IMR4350.
Sold my Tikka 3 earlier this year. Looking at buying a T3x Supperlite. Did you have the muzzle threaded? If so, how well does it work for a narrow barrel like these?
I’m looking at the bipod….it appears there are several different lengths of legs. Which model or length of legs did you use so that they fit in your stock pack??
Do you have any issues with your spartan bipod adapter coming loose? When I use the sling attachment on that adapter on that Spartan mount, it always comes loose by the time I'm ready to shoot after walking around with the slung rifle. Thanks!
Is the bipod the mini size? I see where there’s 3 sizes on Javelin’s website you linked. I’m trying to emulate your setup. Great video and info! Thanks!

Mountain tactical makes really nice billet aluminum mags for these.

I’ve had the same experience with the barrel. Any small rust spots are easily cleaned off if any do appear, which is rare
@@bornwildalaska5031 I have a Howa stainless that gets rust spots if it even looks at water.
Tikka is perfect rifle
Tikka T3 are very popular in New Zealand.
Most hunters I know own one.

I'm patiently waiting on the Tikka 7mm PRC.
Maybe 2025
I got one
I don’t think they make it I’d just get a 7 their barrels are all too short to actually perform properly
@ it's crossed my mind. I wish Tikka made a .280 AI or 7mm PRC. The 7mm Mag is a possibility, it's definitely a monster.
I'm actually in the market looking at buying another Tikka in .300 win mag myself as I have one in 6.5 Creedmore and one Hunter in .270 and they both shoot awesome.
The 6.5 is the one I will be getting for my young kids to shoot
The 6.5 Creedmoor shoots awesome in this gun multiple ammo groups under an inch and no recoil
jus set up my tikka 7 mag with the same scope. Good gritty, no holes barred video! My dream trip is Kodiak Hunting!
I will split the Kodiak trip with you on half. You get 14$ thousand and a ticket and I will do the same. The rest is paid for.
As of September the tikas are around $920 at the sportsmans in Wasilla

How hard is it to do a 4473? But then you never said WHY they are worthless.
how bad is the recoil in 300 win super lite?
Wow, man. This helped a bunch. Thanks for sharing.
Where did you get the short legs? Not sure if they stopped making them but can’t find them anywhere

I am curious what ammo you like to shoot through your t3x 300 winmag. Thanks.
Hand loaded Barnes TTSX 190 gr
Awesome. I'm sighting in using the Barnes ttsx 180gr. Thank you for the review.
That is a nice set up.
Thank you sir!
Just bought mine today in 308 !
How is the 308? You liking the gun? About to get one in 308
It's been nothing but great ! got it sighted in less than 3 shots. It does have a decent recoil but overall great !@@pole_barn_builder
What height tally rings?
I like to shoot my hunting rifle at the range and not worrying about wearing out the barrel. How many shots does it take for the barrel to get hot?
I much prefer to keep the stock uncluttered and wear a belt catridge carrier. But to each his own.

How’s you thread that little barrel?
I’m torn between what scope to put on my 6.5 prc tikka t3x, do you think a mark5 is overkill?
No great optic for that gun!
If a hunting rifle go with the vx5hd 3-15x44 but if target shooting go with mark5 or 4
Superlite in 300 Win Mag?! Dude, I don't envy your shoulder.

Thanks for the video. I replaced my t3x trigger guard with High Desert rifle works. How’s the recoil with the 300 win. mag on the superlite? 🤙
It’s a good wallop but nothing to worry about.
A limbsaver recoil pad makes a HUGE difference in felt recoil.
It could do with a good clean
