  • A quick demo on how to use a laser print or a photocopy and some vegetable oil to make a transparency suitable for exposure to a silkscreen.
This method is quick and dirty (but also clean!). Relying on someone else to make your transparencies - especially when you need to get a screen shot so you can print your gig poster or protest t-shirts at 2 in the morning - stinks! Just remember to clean up all traces of oil on your work surface and the exposure unit. Oiled transparencies remain useable for years - literally. They can also be cut up, and as long as they are dry, you can tape them together to make larger images, or strip up on clear mylar.
