    Nice video.
    How do you add the columns “BL 1, BL 22, BL 1 finish and BL 2 finish “?

    • @PLANNINGP6
      @PLANNINGP6  7 месяцев назад

      🔴Adding the desired columns "BL 1, BL 2, BL 1 finish and BL 2 finish" in Primavera P6 involves displaying specific baseline data. Here's how you can do it:
      🔴Using the Columns Menu
      ✅Right-click anywhere in the grid where you want the columns to appear.
      ✅Select "Columns" from the context menu.
      ✅Expand the "Dates" category in the "Available Columns" list.
      ✅Locate and select the following columns:
      🌟 BL Project Start (if you want "BL 1")
      🌟 BL Project Finish (if you want "BL 2")
      🌟 BL 1 Start
      🌟 BL 1 Finish
      🌟 BL 2 Start (if you want "BL 2 finish")
      ✅Click the "Add to List" button to move the selected columns to the "Selected Options" list on the right.
      ✅You can choose the order of the columns in the "Selected Options" list by using the Up and Down buttons.
      ✅Click "OK" to add the chosen columns to your grid.
      🔴Note:
      ✅Ensure you have a baseline set for your project for these baseline columns to display correct data.
      ✅Replace "BL 1" and "BL 2" with the actual baseline names as defined in your project if they differ.
      ✅If you don't see the specific baseline columns like "BL 1" or "BL 2", they might not be defined in your project baseline. Consult your project administrator for details.
      By following these steps, you can easily add the desired baseline columns to your Primavera P6 schedule for better data analysis and tracking.

      Hello Dear,
      Sort the ongoing tasks, and then use the Global Change option and do the planned start = start and planned finish = finish, or the original duration = at completion duration with the same method.

    Sir, How to change planned ℅ and actual % in approved baseline.

    • @PLANNINGP6
      @PLANNINGP6  Год назад

      Dear,
      Please be aware that we did not understand your query. Why you need to reduce progress, both planned and actual.
      As we described in the tutorial, your planned and actual progress will be the same if you simply remove the baseline. If you updated the schedule properly.

    can we do it by applying critical path filter? Because we have to just change the duration of CP only.

    • @PLANNINGP6
      @PLANNINGP6  2 месяца назад

      Make sure to concentrate on other activities as well, as altering just the critical path can cause illogical disruption to your schedule.

    Can you help.
    I'm done updating and correcting the out of sequence activities.
    Now when i used my current Project as Baseline.
    %Schedule did not match with performance %
    Your answer will be a big help

    • @PLANNINGP6
      @PLANNINGP6  Год назад

      Filter all in-progress activities and update the remaining duration; the actual and remaining durations shouldn't be higher than the original duration, and the at complete duration should be equivalent to the original duration.

    Brother, This was great Video, one point if you add that will be great, logical Weightage Calculation - Such as Recalculating the weightage factor for duration in Excel before updating a Recovery Schedule

    • @PLANNINGP6
      @PLANNINGP6  Год назад

      Your point of view is well taken; for the recovery schedule, the clients typically freezes completion dates and cost weights up to WBS level 2/3/4. To recover the schedule or catch up on the completion dates, you have to calculate exactly how many manhours you will need and possibly add some extra resources.
      However, we'll make an effort to upload a tutorial on it.

    Hy sir, your videos are very informative.
    I asked a question with you,
    Why planned dates are disturb when we update schedule in primavera.

    • @PLANNINGP6
      @PLANNINGP6  2 года назад

      Hello,
      The planned dates will switch when you run schedule and change the data date.
      And if there is no similar progress according to plan.
      What you have planned.
      To freeze the planned dates you have to assign baseline.
      After the approval of schedule.
      The baseline dates will be you planned dates.

    Can the recovery be also archived by changing relationships of activities on WBS levels in addition to duration reduction? I have a project with over 1000 activities, the finish duration was drawn back by 7 months.

    • @PLANNINGP6
      @PLANNINGP6  7 месяцев назад +1

      You can use if the client allows you to use any of the techniques.
      Additionally, see enlisted definitions for the concept clearance.
      When a project falls behind schedule, we need to recover and get back on track. Two techniques commonly used for this are fast-tracking and crashing.
      Fast-tracking involves overlapping activities that wouldn't normally be performed concurrently. This can shorten the overall schedule by reducing idle time between tasks. However, it can also increase complexity and risk due to increased dependencies and potential resource conflicts.
      Crashing involves adding more resources to an activity to complete it faster. This directly reduces the activity's duration but typically increases cost due to additional resource expenses.

      @@PLANNINGP6 yea. Correct. I was thinking of going through the 2 techniques. So as to enable me achieve the recovery schedule as needed by client.
