It's always so funny to me how some folks pass over stuff that is AMAZING to me, and I'm sure I pass over stuff that other people find amazing to them!
To me the antique I want more than anything I've seen in this entire video is the blue and grey potentially Westerwald pot in the top right of the frame around 16:01.
    I LOVE those things.

Nice video. I studied history in college and have only recently gotten into antiques. I live in NC and I'm more into European things so it's difficult sometimes to find things I personally like. But the knowledge on these things in general really interests me. I want to learn how to identify value, the history of different items, their uses, and creators

I’ve kept everything I’ve found in 20 yard dumpsters in my north Idaho town. A house will sell and next thing you know ALL kinds of great stuff get dumped. After 40 years of collecting I’ve filled a 20’x4o’ shop. I’ve never paid for anything. Occasionally sell stuff

That's a good method. Sadly, things do get tossed.

Love your shop! Do you ship? If so, price on red pain candle box?

Thanks! We do ship. Can you send me a screen shot of the one you're interested in? I'll make sure it's still there when I get in today. Thanks for watching!

I have to subscribe, great content here. At the last of this video, there is a large clear glass jar that is a Pig. What was that used for and what is it worth? When my Mom passed away she left me one like that. I hope someone replies. Thanks

Hello! Thanks for watching. Those pieces were pretty much novelty. I'm not sure they ever came with anything in them. They do command a good price, however. Their value could be up to $200. Thanks for subscribing!

@@BackPorchAntiques Thank you for the fast reply.. I think my Mom said that the little country stores would sell pickled sausage out of them on the counter by the cash register.

Lie, buy dirt cheap, over charge, is what he meant to say.

Is it really "over-charge" if someone is willing to pay it? I think not. I'm in acquisitions. Anyone could do it, but most people would rather buy it in a convenient location, which i provide. I'm paid for the work I put in, I don't take advantage of anyone.
