    Everything is price related! Finding horses that aren’t looking to go very well is easy, getting in at a value price is the skill and will determine if you’re going to win long term or not

    Some golden nuggets thanks Dave, especially the bridle stuff which I never really understood. I was on the verge of giving up in play after many months of trying, but have become consistently profitable recently by only trading glaringly obvious situations, and strangely by taking regular small losses. Cutting straight out of a bad trade saves a lot of pain and you're so much more in control of your trading. Looking forward to more videos thank you.

    Great video. But is the delay not too big from watching the live video AND Betfairs bet placement delay?

    • @RunLikeADrain
      @RunLikeADrain  Месяц назад

      Everyone in the world using Betfair to trade in-play is subject to the 1 second delay, (even if using super fast software like Bet Angel) so it's totally fair as no one has an advantage. Regarding video, I trade off off the Betfair Video's (and Racing TV) so the pictures I use are about 1.6 seconds behind live. Again as 99% of traders use BF video, we are all pretty much equal. People who have real live pictures due to drone footage have an edge but most of those traders are not doing what I'm trying to do. They're looking for fallers and horses that miss the break etc. It's a sweeping generalisation but a lot of drone traders couldn't do what I do. Without the video speed edge they'd struggle to make money, and I've even met drone traders who've given up because even being 1.6 secs ahead they still manage to blow their bank. I'm not saying I'm particularly good at race reading but Andrew (who owns BFP) is so good, you could make him watch races 5 secs behind live and he'd still make a good living.

      @@RunLikeADrain Thanks for the detailed reply. I keep looking for silly bullshit in your videos but every doubt I have is answered. I trade profitably with automations but only making around £15 a day so looking for new ways to break that ceiling. Will be watching your whole channel this weekend and giving in play a go 🤘

    • @RunLikeADrain
      @RunLikeADrain  29 дней назад +1

      @@Investing_Explained_ Is it not possible to upscale your automations? If I could set automations to earn £30 a day I'd just do other things away from my screen! BTW some of my older videos are terrible and anything I did in videos before I joined Back for Profit I almost certainly don't do anymore.

    • @Investing_Explained_
      @Investing_Explained_ 29 дней назад +1

      @RunLikeADrain Ive been trying to scale them but liquidity is an issue. As soon as you up the stake from £1 to £2 with my automation it spooks the market and isnt as profitable as £1. For this reason Forex is my main thing now Bet Angel just has too low a ceiling to be worth my time but sometimes I go back to it to keep my mind occupied so I don't make bad forex trades

    I’ve lost loads of money inplay as I’m not disciplined enough and sometimes I think it’s just a lottery. Is your bet angel servant set up through the course or can you demonstrate how to create it?

    • @RunLikeADrain
      @RunLikeADrain  Месяц назад

      The servants I use are the Back for Profit servants I'll talk a bit more about them in future videos but to get them you'd have to join. You can read my review of back for profit here and get a 10% discount code. runlikeadrain.com/back-for-profit-review/ The review is nearly 5 years old now (but still relevant) . Also I've done a subsequent video to this one that answers a couple of questions that you might find useful. The video is here: ruclips.net/video/Cxe_UmAF3B0/видео.htmlsi=_IsN0Z2MgaMhKeqP

    Great video. It might by ISP, even though its 100mg fibre, I find the pictures are about 5 to 10 seconds behind the actual races. Are RacingUK pictures actually closer to the actual time, if this makes sense?

    • @RunLikeADrain
      @RunLikeADrain  2 месяца назад +1

      Via Betfair Video streams in the UK races are about 1.6 secs behind live I believe, which is perfectly adequate for what I do.

      Hi Dave, how do you make the BF, Racing Uk footage bigger so you can see what is actually going on. Default size is tiny, doesn't seem to scale, same for ATR/Sky.
      Many thanks. @@RunLikeADrain

    Thanks Dave but every time I see this set up, the price has gone. This means I have to second guess myself to get a trading position and often the horse recovers and wins from the rear. It's not easy. I stopped second guessing because of this. As a BFP member I have now done 1 trade in the last 52 races I have watched.

    • @RunLikeADrain
      @RunLikeADrain  Месяц назад

      As you're a member I can answer in more detail in the telegram room. My name in the Telegram group is Will Barrow. Send me a DM and I'll reply. My absolute best advice though before we even chat is book a one to one call with Andrew. With time, patience and watching more and more races you will eventually start to spot subtle early signals rather than the blindingly obvious ones. (So you'll get on before the price has gone).

    • @RunLikeADrain

      I'm guessing by your question that you haven't used the exchange before. Every trade/bet ever struck on the exchange only ever happens because 2 people take opposing sides of a price. There are many reasons while people will oppose my opinion so I'll try and remember to cover them in the next video.

  • @stephenmead7416
    @stephenmead7416 3 дня назад +1

    Unfortunately you are 10 seconds behind in real time.when watching on TV or Online. Therefore the guys on course have an edge and snaffle all the value.

    • @RunLikeADrain
      @RunLikeADrain  3 дня назад

      Betfair Video, when it's working properly, is about 1.6 seconds behind live. Racing TV (RTV) is almost the same if it's via a sky dish.
