It's funny to see how many Indians have claimed that the Angkor temple was built by the Indians so it belongs to them in some sort of way. I had the same argument with some Indian fellow workers. but the question I often ask them back is that Why did the Indian king goes all the way to Cambodia to built Angkor wat. why not in India? The answer was because in those days every one was too busy making baby in India and they can't find enough Indian worker to do the job, Then when I think about it It kind of make sense considering their population. Actually the Khmer language used to pronounce the final ‘R’ in ancient times. It only became a silent letter in the last 300 years. So the way foreigners (well Americans and Canadians, anyway) pronounce “Khmer” is the historically correct pronunciation.
India had come to Cambodia to promote a lot of things such as their culture, art, religion, something like that....back then. Khmer is pronounced “kmai “ foreigners always seem to pronounce it wrong
Actually the Khmer language used to pronounce the final ‘R’ in ancient times. It only became a silent letter in the last 300 years. So the way foreigners (well Americans and Canadians, anyway) pronounce “Khmer” is the historically correct pronunciation.
They Do Pronounce it wrong
Thanks for showing about anything in Cambodia 🇰🇭
Thank you so much from Cambodia 🙏🇰🇭❤
India had come to Cambodia to promote a lot of things such as their culture, art, religion, something like that....back then. And because back then Cambodian's king was a Hindu, that why it makes some of Cambodian's works back then look similar to India. ** Note ** Cambodian was the one who build the Angkor, there no India or anything who build it. Cambodian had work their butt off in order to make this.
Among all comment i liked urs.
Its sensible.
Btw we should not forget that they were Hindus
i agreed
Our language is actually pronounced “kh-mai”

I am not a Cambodian, I am a Khmer, Because the word Cambodia is not exist in Khmer Languages, after Britain draw the world maps, Tage this name for the Country of the Khmer, If you a Researcher please explain to me what is the meaning of the word Cambodia, I only knew the word Khmer from my Ancestors is meaning " Never give up to the Enemies " Funan + Chenla = Khorm = Khmer, But the word Cambodia, Khmer didn't created this word, "Cambodia" is the International Languages, Back in 18 Century French called Khmer Country as Kampuchea, Khmer themselves never change their country Name or their Identities, Researchers pleases don't miss understanding between Khmer and Cambodia, Since The Khmer Empires " Khmer is still Khmer until this Modern day, I am not gonna disobey my Ancestors, I am a Khmer Peoples and Proud of Whose I am, I'M PROUD TO BE KHMER AND KHMER FOR EVER, No matter how poors or how rich this Khmer Country is, I'm Died as the Khmer Bloods

More Cambodian contents please. This was very educational. Thank you!
That's super cool. As an architecture student in college it's cool knowing a country has a building on it's flag. Speaking of which, how's about some details on the flag and Angkor Wat.
Bro why are you repeating the fact about tonle sap Lake and pulling your hair for that... Why didn't you mention about Pol pot and the Khmer Rouge... And there is a famous river bridge Khwai Boon something like that which could have been included too... Ok thanks 🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
