@someonesilence3731 I know I'm late, but yes! I love both games, but I enjoy Ironman RS3 a lot more. Mostly because I thoroughly enjoy RS3 manual combat/PVM.
I'm about to do RS3 Ironman group with some friends and honestly... I'm overwhelmed just thinking about it. I could use any help possible and this video is great
Appreciate the video, I'm just getting back into RS, I started on OSRS but the updated graphics, lore and content of RS3 looks very appealing, my only issue was the micro-transactions and people just trying to give me free stuff (The RS community is very generous). Personally I play for the journey and personal achievement, so I think I'll be starting an Ironman account on RS3 after watching your video.
Great video, I'd change 1 thing and that is to save the lamps from violet is blue and violet is blue 2 for herb or agility. You can get 17 farm from AFKing the manure mound at the farming guild / PoF 😊.. only takes like 20 mins and it's free xD. As for 20 con that takes like 20 mins too so saving those lamps would be super beneficial 👍🏼 (imo). Also get your wicked hood from burthorpe and get 50 RC ASAP for vis wax, only use elemental runes early game. The first 2 runes can be found on the wiki. Do your penguins. Do caches. QUEST. Not an exhaustive list but if anyone has any questions just reply to this comment and I'll answer as best I can! My iron is 100-120 necro and 119-120 dung away from Comp so i might be of some help 😊
Hey Waydot. I just subscribed a few days ago and I'm watching your 12 hour Ironman video. As someone who hasn't played rs3 since 2010-11, I was interested. Your videos have basically sold me on giving the game a shot soon as you've done a great job making it look fun. Thank you for this guide it'll certainly help in my new Ironman adventure! From an osrs uim and long time rs lover, much love have a great one.
Welcome to Rs3, has a ton of content so try not to get overwhelmed, do what the video shows first and basically follow the same quest path you would if you started a new osrs account they have a few more easy and useful quest, you can lookup an optimal ironman quest list on the wiki just for ideas
Love your tips, short and concise and useful! Also having a nearly maxed iron and a maxed main the only thing I would for sure add to this list is to get started on Guthixian Caches for divination training immediately. Not having 95 divination makes later game invention upkeep completely unsustainable on an ironman, and in a skill as slow and monotonous as divination you should be taking the fast daily route to exp whenever you can. I generally detest dailies and how ruinous they can be for good play patterns and how they tend to increase burnout, but Guthixian Caches are the one I would always make an exception for pre 99 divination.
to tie in with all of this questing is and will always be an insane way to start out an acc you can get a ton of lvls just doing quests. Mining smithing earlygame is also pretty insane since they feed into one another are realy important for invention
i got 120 archeology before finding out that you can see your material storage with your book, yeesh. anyway i came here to get some ironman tips to go for when group ironman drops and I'm excited!
interesting, just looked it up and you are correct, the only requirement is actually 17 farming. my bad! however.. starting pof is still not a bad idea !
i would love to play rs3 but everytime i try the game crashes alot. apparently this is due to the AMD bug that the rs3 client has so idk how to fix it ive tried a ton of solutions none worked hopefully they can fix this issue one day.
Fort Forinthry is fucking nuts. On day 1 after unlocking it I just ground out most of the starting buildings and went from like 1 construction to 45-50.
says invite link is invalid to join the discord :( was looking for people to run BM with on my iron as i was a OSRS iron before coming to RS3 due to the infatuation of the PvM aspect.
WayDot, can you please send an alt to try the giant dwarf? I can’t seem to telegrab the right boot, idk what I need to do, but that boot won’t come off the table, I’ve stood next to the window and tiles away. Idk! Please help
i actually just maxed my normal account (except for necromancy). and i was looking to do and ironman after that. im just not sure if i know enough about the game and stuff
Yeah nemi forest is great as well, however this video's intent is not to show you every single thing an ironman should participate in, just some quick tips to help out new players.
While i can agree the guide isnt my best piece of work, and i dont even play runescape anymore.. it most definitely is for beginners, everything in here you can interact with in your first 5-10 hours of gameplay. What do you think a "beginner" is?
Perfect, started an iron this week on RS3 as an OSRS player. It's so overwhelming.
Welcome buddy
Was it worth it? I'm an OSRS player and considering the same thing.

Ive been peeping rs3 lately and i just started watching your series last week.
Crazy timing for this video for me lol
Love a good waydot video! Shoutout Patreon crew.
All solid tips! As he said, I wish this was available when I first started ironman mode.
"you're gonna wanna" counter: 0:49 - 1:11 - 1:28 - 3:23 - oh that was it

Caches are a must, especially for the first 60-70 levels.

i am 200 million arch exp and i didnt know about the the arch journal material storage thing, that is WILD=
I've just started an Ironman game in RS3. Love the idea of crafting all my own items. Would love to join your Clan!
People are maxed and don't know about the material storage check because it was added after those people achieved their arch goals.
i didnt even know about the first tip man.. should of done it waaaay back haha, thanks!
i've just made a ironman, going to watch this and hopefully helps. thanks

Whats the best way to make gold for beginners?
could be wrong but i dont think you need pof unlocked to start beehives

@@Waydots yeah, especially for late game dino roars
and the few animals you need for miniquest

Thank you waydot I’ve wrote all this down !

Little tip, you don't need the player owned farm unlocked to use the beehives.
I am 120 Arch with all relevant achievements completed related to the skill, and I did not know about that boom tip 😬
Thanks bro 🤘🤘
120 arch and I never knew the journal could do that.
become one of us!
where you get a simple 12x magic logs without having the woodcutting lvl for it. PLS i need to know this
Kbd drops magic logs
WayDot, can you please send an alt to try the giant dwarf? I can’t seem to telegrab the right boot, idk what I need to do, but that boot won’t come off the table, I’ve stood next to the window and tiles away. Idk! Please help
It's a current known bug that is getting worked on.
I didn't leave anachronia till I was able to build the lodestone so I was sitting there until I reached all the resources for like 30 minutes straight
i actually just maxed my normal account (except for necromancy). and i was looking to do and ironman after that. im just not sure if i know enough about the game and stuff
you mentioned raids but didnt say the forest minigame next to raids thats free xp in a lot of good skills
Yeah nemi forest is great as well, however this video's intent is not to show you every single thing an ironman should participate in, just some quick tips to help out new players.
@@Waydots fair enough I figured it would be important since nemi provides a lot of xp in skills that are super useful
Discord link is expired. Just found you and subbed.
more please. intro to mid game as an iron or. mid game mid game iron. or iron end game?
I wish I could play osrs and rs3 on the same account :( sucks having to pay for membership twice.. otherwise I'd love to try it out
You can just not side by side sadly
you can but not at the same time
Dailyscape: The List
cough cough... aparently some people have comped without knowing the archeology journal thing
Step first, get Membership
Any ironman guilds here willing to accept a new member?
Same here...I'm starting an iron man tomorrow
I have 115m xp in archeology and didnt know you could right click the book and look at storage 😂 smh
Yeah, i had a friend with 200m arch on his main and alt, who did not know this until i showed him on stream one time 😂
I'm not new to ironman, im just bad 🤣
Thanks you started the video with word salad
this guide sucks hard lmao, literally not for beginners at all
