Anita Ward - Ring My Bell (1979). This is a beautiful and catchy disco song of the late 1970's which I still like much! I had this song (single version) on the demonstration cassette tape of my portable stereo radio cassette recorder which I bought when I was a young man here in South Asia where I Iive. The album version is longer. This song was so popular at that time as it became a very big hit for her. I still remember how the radio presenter of the local channel at that time described this song when playing it; she said "She (her voice) really rings the bells!...". Recently I watched this song video being telecast on one of our local TV stations here. I have very good memories of this song! It is very sad to know that Anita Ward did not do more follow up songs of this style after this hit. Ms. Anita Ward, thank you very much for this song! Thank you for uploading this video!

@@janath9118 I have all my albums in safe storage along with the record player but my cassettes were in the wooden house and when hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico in September 2017 , they were destroyed along with the recorders ! Do you remember the big metal ball radio that also played 8 tracks ? Well luckily I still have that too and everything works ! The kids in town come to visit just to see all the old things I brought from my home in New York ! They can’t believe how huge things used to be ! I also have an old computer and key board but I don’t know if they work ! I just keep it around so the kids in the neighborhood can see what olde time life was like ! They tell my 7 year old granddaughter that she has a neat grandma but inside I’m sad those days are gone especially Disco 💃 ! Well I retired here because my son was a bachelor but finally met and married an island girl ! I still get to do exciting things for the neighbors and their kids , like , making cotton candy and red jelly apples ! I have my chickens and roosters and I rescue and adopt animals and I keep busy helping people learn how to make real vegetarian lasagna and other vegetarian Italian food because here everywhere you go it’s fake pizza fake Chinese food , terrible greasy foods or rice and beans and pork and beef and I’m against killing any animals to fill my belly ! They especially love my eggplant Parmesan ! People say I should open up a real Italian restaurant but I’m too old ! I’m so happy to have heard from someone who knows what cassettes are ! I live far away from you in South Asia. I am a man of 61 years living here in Sri Lanka. Are you referring to the valve radios of the 1950's which had two metal knobs on each side of dial for volume and tuning? Yes, I remember them, we had our parents mono radio console with record changer but no 8 track player. 8 track players are available plenty in America but didn't arrive to our part of the world. Its nice to hear that you have it and that everything still works! But I am very sorry to hear that your cassette collection and the recorders were destroyed when hurricane Maria hit your Puerto Rico home in 2017. I'm glad that your vinyl albums are in safe storage as they are more worthy than cassettes. Did you buy vinyl when you are in New York? Lucky that you bought them. Now are you living in New York, USA or Puerto Rico? Yes, we had great times in the 1970's with disco and other music styles too. We were so happy. Yes, now it's sad to see that those times are gone. Fond memories! I didn't have a turntable in the 1970's though I yearned. That old changer didn't work after the 1960's. The first thing I bought here is a portable stereo radio cassette recorder. And you know!? The supplied demo cassette tape had 3 songs and one of them is "Ring my Bell" by Anita Ward!! I still got it. Then I bought many blank and pre recorded cassettes. Soon I bought a Kenwood deck and amplifier with speakers. Recorded many, many songs on BASF, TDK and Maxell tapes. It's fun doing this. I got Ring my Bell longer album version recorded on tape. I had to sell the Kenwood setup later and got a smaller setup. But again in the 1990's I bought a Pioneer seperate complete stereo system including turntable, CD player and I still have it and also some other systems. I enjoy listening music and I hope you also do enjoy. I see that you are a very happily married person with your family with children and that is so wonderful to hear from you! How adorable your 7 year old grand daughter is!! They as well as others will be curious to see the old equipments of our time (60's & 70's) as they are rare to see nowadays. I also noted that you are an expert cook specialised in making many food items. You have very good senses about food! I eat fish but i don't like meat. Thanks for the compliments! Yes, I still have the cassettes but as this is a small tropical country, some are not playable now as they are 30+ years old. I experienced a problem similar to yours as I lost few due to water. I have a small collection of LP's and EP's. I started collecting CD's afterwards and have a good collection of CD's now. Cassettes are not available here to buy now. I ran this track through a sound spectrum analyzer, great job whoever remastered it. It's definitely been cleaned up from the original.
