    The mediterranean-looking house at the 33 minute mark was my aunt's house when she was growing up. I miss that neighborhood. I grew up there on the north side.

    Make a video with the history of the houses down that road on Newport Dr, off of upper Market st. The road goes under a bridge to Lake Newport. Think it was the first designed neighborhood for cars and stuff. Very nice huge houses.

    I loved this area as a child. My parents were the last choir directors of First Christian Church on Wick before it shut down and the Butler bought it. My mom adored the Prince mansion and always talked about buying it. My parents almost bought one of the homes surrounding Wick Park but they decided to buy a house in the Handles Court area. I grew up in that house until it burnt down in 2006. These old homes have so much character and history. I love them so much.

    I used to walk through Crandall park on my way to Rayen High. We used the park for ice skating and sled riding.
    The white house you wanted to buy once belonged to a prominent doctor my grandmother worked for.
    Great video

      Thanks for the support! I actually went in and looked at that home, it was incredible!! I may have to check out the sled riding this year at Crandall, I've always went to Mill Creek because that's the area that was close to me growing up. Thanks for sharing some memories!

    We just bought a house a little north of here in the Logan Brooke subdivision. I’ve been trying to find more info. Not having any luck. I’m in FL so I can’t access the library. Can you help me or maybe do a video?

    The first house that you said was a bed and breakfast was actually owned by the Masi family and had a one-lane bowling alley in the 1960s.

    • @everydayadventureswithjim
      @everydayadventureswithjim  7 месяцев назад

      That was only one part of the homes story. It was a house, a bed and breakfast, a convent, sub leased and also a spiritualist center. I’m assuming you’re talking about the Masi family from NY? I may have to delve into that a little bit, that would be something I didn’t know, being built by and for Burt Printz.

    The Prince house was owned by the Powers' family,too ...in the 1960s. Another big Youngstown family. The house with the sundial...McNicholas family...next to them...1848 address? Was Dr Stotler in the 50's to 80's On the northeast corner of Benita and 5th...Dr Squicero...further out...the McKelvey family. Lots of physicians. The house on Tod Lane next to the driveway of St Edward's church? Was Cushwa's...another big name.
    St Ed's was built starting 1916...my great grandad was a master plumber in Youngstown .William T..Carroll. Plumbed the pipe organ. Were founding members after St. Anne's burned down.
    The château ...my fave growing up. And then....there's Mario Guerreri's on the corner of Crandall and 5th....a whole other side of history. Several side streets hold more stunning homes..Redondo Road, all of upper Tod Lane, Bradley Lane, Selma, Coronado, etc...love the walk down memory lane..

    Why not say where these streets and sides of town are? Of course it looks desolate. Populations move, shift and change. Industries change too.

      Not sure if you watched this video or any others, but I absolutely do talk about where I am. As far as this one goes, it’s one street that we walked in Youngstown, Ohio. Thanks for watching!

    I'm sorry your video makes no sense whatsoever you're going to talk about houses and the history of them, then go by houses look at them and tell us the history of them. I know them all.

    • @everydayadventureswithjim
      @everydayadventureswithjim  7 месяцев назад

      To be honest, what you just wrote didn’t make sense to me because that’s excactly what we did in this video. The whole purpose was to take a walk, added to that walk…was looking at some historic Youngstown homes and spread some tid bit history about some of them. I have to say (nothing personal) but you come off pretty negative as a spiritualist. Most of us in the RUclips community support each other , have different opinions without ego and often collaborate, come to the “light” Pat!! That being said , I wish you success in all your endeavors and hope the rest of your time is positive!

      Again.. I’m assuming you don’t watch any other videos. It.. again. The wholeeeeeeee point of the video. Was a simple walk down a street.. not food not rain nothing more than a walk. But thanks for the added support.

    Spend half the video talking about nothing just show the history of the city

    • @everydayadventureswithjim
      @everydayadventureswithjim  6 месяцев назад

      lol… thanks for watching. Every bit helps negative or not. The whole point of the video was a walk. Nothing more.
