@@heididesultrahausweib9032 it's not the same power, The USA and Canada have 500hp and I know they measure differently so to have the same power Mustang in the EU must have around 507 this is the calculation 507x0.9863 =500
@@andiaman5864 The EU Is becoming increasingly conservative across the board on the back of it’s polarising Emissions Regs and the depressing eventual permanent discontinuation of natural aspiration … until ultimately the demise of all internal combustion engines. It’s hypocritical of them to hobble their Dark Horse imports by 50hp, in comparison to the rest of the world’s 500hp, when Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens and Koenigseggs in the region have double the power output, yet aren’t susceptible to EU power reductions. The abysmal direction it’s headed is decidedly disconcerting and unappealing to performance car enthusiasts, whilst the current state of the motoring industry is depressing in it’s elitism now that all of the new best marquee driving cars are not only outlandishly expensive, their limited production numbers are pre-purchased en-masse by the rich collectors before they even hit the market for any of us to have a chance of purchasing one from a dealership.
Edit : The minuscule number of newly released performance cars that are still commercially available have all fallen victim to criminally exhorbitant price markups by the dealerships in a greedy bid to further capitalise on their manipulated rarity factor.

Note: This is the EU version of the dark horse which has been detuned from 500hp to 450hp. And it can NOT be optioned with the racing package which gives you stuff like stickier tires and a wing/spoilers.
What’s the point in the dark horse then if it’s detuned and has less factory ad-ons? Isn’t that the whole point of the dark horse?
@@dread8900 kinda yeah. Definitely makes more sense to get the normal gt in europe.
@@dread8900because it still gets the pistons and connecting rods from the gt500. So if your pushing power on a stock engine it’ll still be more so safe to do that on a dark horse. But it’s still stupid you can’t get the handling package in the EU.
@@brokeq50boi80 no one in the EU is gonna buy a mustang dark horse specially to tune it. At that point, you might as well just buy a GT500 or super snake if your spending that much. They aren’t as big on tuning mustangs in the EU as they are in the US
@@dread8900 yeah probably not but it’s still a thing. I wouldn’t be surprised if some people do buy one for that. Though the people that would are probably few and far between in the EU. the gt500s will hold there value for a while because of not only how overbuilt that predator engine is they said that it’s also going to be the last time they use the gt500 name on a mustang. It’s definitely still stupid it can’t the handling package in the EU. I wonder why? It’s not like the market isn’t there for a cool manual v8 car that can go around corners well.

I love the car, but those LCD screens make it look cheap. I much prefer having some mechanical dials and digital cluster tastefully compliment each other than 2 big tablets.

Test drove the exact same car version 2 months ago. Sound is epic, tremec is great but all the rest is ok and nothing else. Ordered an M2 instead. Delivery in march 2025. Cannot wait…

6th gear is fully overdrive, insane
They should have changed that for Eurospec. I understand in North America since people can't legally drive anywhere near these speeds and probably never used on a race track, so 6th gear is purely for fuel savings.
@@norwegianblue2017 The reason why you don't hear about any "autobahn type highway" in the US is because we don't have just one, they're all over the entire country. Also, I don't know who is doing 160+ on average in any part of the world. The spec in this video is slower than the US market one by the way.
@@macrc2129 autobahn means highway in germany. Which means a lot of different autobahns exist with no speed limits. And where in the USA can u drive legally over 70mph?
@@macrc2129well the main reason really though is that our driving etiquette here so god damn terrible compared to Germany. Nobody wants to move over when your going faster than them in the fast lane and our driving classes here are a total joke compared to what you have to do in some other countries like Germany

Why the 6th gear is too long ?? There is a huge distance between 5th and 6th gear
for better fuel economy and comfort on high speed roads, 4.5 rpm at 250 kmh seems pretty good

Tip: top speed is reached MUCH faster in 5th gear, because you hit the speed limiter before the rpm limiter. They limited the thing in EU because of those eco crazyness laws :( ...my Bullitt (S550) speed limiter (EU) is set to 274kmh (stock; speedometer), that are 263kmh read on GPS, so unless they tuned the speedometer better on the S650, this gen is a way slower than the previous gen. :( ..considering that this is a DH version, not the "basic" GT.

I love the short throw of that Tremec gearbox, but 6th gear is way too tall and useless for the track. When upshifting flat chat from 5th @ 250km/h, 6th gear makes the car go backwards.

@@jbmectronic4314 I wasn’t on a track when I maxed mine out, but RUclipsr Misha Charoudin hit 256km/h in a stock manual Dark Horse at Nordschliefe in 5th gear, with traffic. Mt Panorama at Bathurst 🇦🇺is a track which could easily see the Dark Horse hit that down Conrod Straight and Phillip Island 🇦🇺also. Then there’s the legendary high-speed tracks of Spa and Monza.
Edit : With a proper, usable 6th gear, the Dark Horse will easily make 270 - 275km/h and all of the aforementioned tracks would accommodate that speed.

You would think it would have more HP than a v8 Camaro... but instead its just the name. kinda like the Grand Sport version of the GT500
Well it's detuned over there by 50 hp. It ain't nowhere near GT500 performance and top end. We've all seen that video on Autobahn. But yeah...if its down to 450 hp then it's seems week getting there. GT500 speedo climbs much faster and appears to at to be better in stability just eyeing them both. GT500 goes from 100-160 much quicker and is will drop that Dark Horse like a bad habbit very early on in the run.
The speedometer looks so old school.
You have to hold on to the steering wheel, it looks like a shaker.
Ford advertises big torque numbers, in reality it appears as if the car is delivering well below what is claimed.

@@DOCTRJ When I heard about this car being in development some time back, the flat plane crank out of the 350R was being talked about. Sounds more like a traditional cross plane 5.0 stang, but revving over 7k in a factory cross plane engine of some girth is an amazing sound, and not an entirely pedestrian engineering feat for a Mustang. 👍

@@valerystoichkov7429well blame the EU and it’s Emissions regulations stripping this car of 47 horsepower and also for some reason not being available with the handling package either which gives it a nice wing and some ridiculously wide tires front and back. Also not stable? The car looks fine. Also like really? We’ve built plenty of cars that can go around corners and do it really really well and most of the time for significantly cheaper while being as fast or faster on track😂 and I don’t even love American cars but making other comments insinuating that we can’t make cars go around corners and do it well is hilarious.
