My RUclips recommendations has been mostly Rodney lately and I keep clicking on them and I keep being amazed at this guy. What a national treasure he was.
What a MASTER COMEDIAN he was, even with a cold! His witty and hilarious personality live on through the memories we have of him in these old shows. He is the BEST comedian I have ever seen and heard in my lifetime of almost 70 years.
One of my favorite jokes by Rodney...was an r rated joke that never made it on the Tonight Show ….it went......growing up...I never had many friends...then one day....this fly started hanging around....we did everything together.I finally had a friend....then one day, i opened the window....and the fly flew out and left me for a pile of horseshit. LOL RIP Rodney....you were the very best...!!!!
"Put on my shirt this morning and a button fell off; picked up my briefcase and the handle fell off;...I was afraid to go to the bathroom!!" He was so funny.
I remember sneaking out of bed and peeking into the living room to watch the Tonight Show from the hallway. Rodney was my favorite from the time I was a kid... I think the first time I saw him was on the Ed Sullivan Show. Still the best stand up comedian ev-er.
Some of his jokes are so fast and high brow that they almost get past you. I think he even sees audience who are slow on the uptake and knows how well-crafted his jokes are. Pure comic genius.
One bright day in the middle of the night 2 dead boys went out to fight back-to-back they faced each other and drew their swords and they shouted each other a deaf policeman he heard the noise what it came to shoot them at 2 dead boys if you don't believe my story's true act subliminated on a corner cause he saw 2 the blind man and Kona man and he saw it too my name is Richard ain't trying to be a b**** I'm just trying to tell you something by make a laugh white man gangshine that's a Rodney Dangerfield he's still 1 of my jokes
Remember George Carlin. Both of them did really good comedy in the 60's 70's without cursing, that's very difficult. Ask this big shots, of current times to do it that way. Those comedians were genius in their art. I so sawed George Carlin in black and white format, and he nailed. Just like Rodney at Carlson's show. It was not cursing, nothing against that, but the level of talent has to been in other category.
My absolute favorite Rodney jokes: at my house, we pray after meals; my wife is such a horrible cook, the flies chipped in to fix the screen door and I don't think meatloaf should glow in the dark. One night on Carson, he made the observation, "you got to have love, Johnny. I love a lot of things: money, sports, and one of my kids... What a fantastic National Treasure; best stand up comedian ever. Rest in peace, Rodney
I agree . I am old and I don't laugh much anymore, but rodney had it all . I could watch what I watched the day before and laugh all over again. That's what separated him from other comedians .
Yeah, yeah, it's like that one about the Scotsman who married a pregnant gal because it would save wear and tear on his new wife. Okay, okay, he's the best, okay? Thank you! Thank you!
Lucky to have met him at the original improv in the 80’s I used to hang at the bar he walked in with two blondes one Saturday night. Bar was where the proformers would stay until going on stage. 30 minutes of most of his routine hanging out drinking being himself I was very lucky to have been there
I remember a Rodney joke about his wife: " One morning before I went to work I said to my wife 'honey, make me late for work.' She went out and let the air out of my tires."
BAR NONE! HE was the ALL time Funniest stand up..EVER!I don't give a crap how many times I have heard his routine he Always makes me laugh my ASS off! Nobody else can do that
My favorite Rodney joke - "I had so much acne as a teenager that I fell asleep in the library once, and when I woke up, a blind man was reading my face!"
There is great comedy today, no question, but man, could this guy fire 'em off. One of my favorites: "I tell ya, I grew up in a rough neighborhood. Once I put my hand in wet cement. I grabbed another hand. Yeah we were tough back then, in school, too. After our football team sacked the quarterback, they went after his family."
superfly guitarguy RODNEY ❣️ “my mother never breast-fed me. She said ‘I just want us to be friends ‘ ! ...”I knew a girl who worked in a restaurant. She told me she could make a Big Boy in 3 minutes, - or a boy big in 2 minutes ! “
Many famous performers sign bad contracts and never make the money they deserve to make, but hopefully Rodney Dangerfield made a shrewd move by opening his own club and taking his share of the profits. He says in this clip that his club has been open for seven years, which tells me that he was doing something right. I would guess too that the club cut down his travel to comedy gigs because the audience could come to him rather than he go to the audience. Yes, a clever man who made a difficult job look easy - just like Johnny Carson in his talk show role.
Loved Rodney ⭐️ from here ( 1976-80 ) he aged from “ The Mad Spree ! ) he loved “ Blow “ too , weed and a few drinks ....He enjoyed his last 30 years for sure ! 🤩...with his fine young wife 💖
What a great gig Johnny had. I'm sure there were many tough nights, but to sit three feet away from Rodney in his prime had to have been a treat.
Rodney and Johnny the greatest combo.
I love it, even if a joke doesn't do well, he turns around and kills it with something else.
Good philosophy for life.
Lol, he gotta take them on the road first
A true comedian is one that you can listen to their jokes over and over again and still laugh like it’s the first time hearing them. RIP Rodney.
If he made a joke about a fat girl, someone in the audience would be like you can't say that you fat shamer
One of my favorites: "I grew up in a really tough neighborhood. You couldn't shut a window without breaking someone's fingers."
Rodney the best. Absolute best.
What a legend, 70 times he was on the Tonight Show.
Even more amazing is that his career really got going in the late 60s making him at age mid 40s so to do that 70 times is amazing
I miss this guy so much…🌹💔
Back to School is the best Rodney. " I think Lou lost his trigger finger" 😂
Rodney was a national treasure. People will be laughing at these bits 100 years from now.

Funniest man I've ever seen or heard. After all these years I still laugh out loud listening to jokes I've heard many times before.
Same here. I remember: "I drink too much. The last time I gave a urine sample there was an olive in it."
It's not just his jokes that make us laugh, but it's also his persona!
Me too

He was an atheist ( unfortunately )
@robertdawson9114 And still no respect . . . because you spelt his name wrong.
Absolutely classic. If you don’t get this stuff, I don’t want to hang out with you.
@Moe Howard Rodney was the best,I could listen to him 24/7.
Aaron Burr Atwood. Good stuff but he used the same material for years and years.
But he changed it up through the years though and made different versions and variations of the jokes
This man was funny always. Saw him in concert once. Never ever laughed so hard in my life!! Unbelievable!!!
Short people
I feel sorry for them
When it rains
They're the last to know

"Put on my shirt this morning and a button fell off; picked up my briefcase and the handle fell off;...I was afraid to go to the bathroom!!" He was so funny.
Damn I wish he delivered that one in one of these videos
Even when he says '' I get no respect at all'' he makes me laugh. I miss you Rodney.
I don't miss him
I watch him almost every night
He's a breath of fresh air in world full of
Stale minded wackos

Without exception, all the great ones are gone...Rodney, respect!!!
I definitely wouldn't say all the great ones are gone. There's a lot of good comics out there today.
@TheKizilg1 very few
I ❤Rodney. RIP
Some of his jokes are so fast and high brow that they almost get past you. I think he even sees audience who are slow on the uptake and knows how well-crafted his jokes are. Pure comic genius.
Love the short guy joke, " we were naked in the spa, im glad he didn't try to shake hands with me" lol
Rodney Dangerfield could make naughty jokes without sounding dirty! A lost art nowadays!
And unlike third rate hacks, not an F-word in sight.

Yep, innuendo trumps out right profanity any day because it engages the mind of the listener.

Undisputed heavy weight champion of the one liner....no one better than Rodney!
What a crowd what a crowd
Richard Pryor and Rodney, that's all I need! RIP to them both!
He has best delivery of corny jokes and makes em sound really funny.
When I was born it was touch and go for quite a while, the doctor told my father he did all he could but I still pulled through.. classic Rodney.
From 552-640 is so genius. The way they play off each other and then set up a joke that is brilliant in its delivery by Rodney. Master class in comedy
What a man.
Cheers from France America
The one and only!

One of the all time greats
Take a drink everytime he touches his tie.
The way Rodney tells his jokes doing stand up, it's as if he's speaking directly to you. That's one of the many reasons he's king of comedy
"And my daughter, she's no winner....in high school, she was voted most likely to conceive"
