Aprilia electronics guide
AEM 1 is fastest
AEB 1 is the least amount of engine braking
ATC 1 is the least intrusive traction control
AWC on/off wheelie control
ABS 1 is the least amount of interference but it also disables the rear abs at 1 so 2 is the best choice if you want abs on
Also you can set all these up in individual mode also so you don't have to change the bike to track mode and deal with the different screen layout on the TFT.
16 months in and I just changed the exhaust to a SC project CRT and now it sounds like a panigale v2, great bike!
Hey man do you know how can i go back from the race modes? Cuz when i try to pull up the menu it pops up a list of times in the track
@@esgasi07 ya bro press and hold the right button until it reads lap times then press and hold the right button again then your menu will pop up go to vehicle and change back to road. Hope that helps
@@hyeGUY25 you're the man, thanks!
3yrs with the rs660, no regrets.
3 weeks no regrets 😅
8 months, no regrets…
It’s the perfect street sportbike
@@SongJLikeshave you had any problems with it so far? have you been pushing it hard or babying it? sorry with all the questions, i’m thinking of getting one but all these stories about poor reliability make me anxious.
@@dannyboy1162 - Nope, no issues. 2-year factory warranty at purchase for peace-of-mind
My camera is on 3% and done. Lol! Great video. Those settings are hard to figure out but once you get it it's easy.
The 660 has anti wheelie control (AWC) but you can disable it when you're in the mode customization screen
it would be fun to take the 660 to the track
I did last week and it was pretty fun. Taking an MV F4 next week and I’m pretty sure it will be another level. 660 is a tad slow tbh.
btw 1 is the lowest if you hold the down button for like a sec or a bit more it will go off once you are in one :) 8 is full on rain mode
Scrolling through those modes looked like a dang arcade game 😂
No different then a new phone. Learning curve
Thanks for the video. How do you prevent the back wheel from slipping in first gear on the rs660? Trying to do a wheelie as slow as possible but the first gear clutch up either let the back wheel slip or wants to go forward instead of up. Do you for example put more weight on the pegs or slide backward or something when you clutch up in first gear? Your arms seem to be relaxed all the time so I assume your shoulders are in the same position and never pull on the bar.
Sometimes I give it a little yank but for the most part if your tire is spinning your psi is probably just too high or maybe need a better quality tire. If you run 20-25 psi and you’re on clean, not slick roads, it shouldn’t spin
I hate that i can barely tip toe my rs660. Don't feel confident or safe on it at all.
I recommend bone extensions!
jk lol. Do you plan to lower it?
@@jar7d everybody says not to let lower it cus it screws up the geometry or whatever.
@@FutureProductionz239 I’ve never heard of that but I’ve also never lowered a bike. But I don’t see how it would be a problem other than for ground clearance cuz most people who want to go faster lower their bikes and all that. I would think it would only improve aerodynamics
@@jar7d nah its a real thing. It affects cornering n shit.
Oh and btw if u put the rs660 in "individual" mode, u can adjust each setting to your liking.
What was the setting for the smooth like butter wheelie need to know so I can practice without flipping my bike😅
I can’t exactly remember but engine map 1 for the most power and then popping up 2nd gear is mostly what made it smooth. I think engine brake was on 3 which in hindsight probably meant it was not having much engine brake, which would help make it smooth but engine brake is preferred for wheelies so you don’t have to be as precise on foot brake. And the other settings would be abs and trc, so which ever setting makes those fully turn off or least powerful would be best. Traction control doesn’t let it wheelie at all and ABS will let you loop if you had to foot brake hard
Watching people wheelie makes me sad , bc I can’t do them yet
Practice practice practice
whats the best setting for wheelies guys on the tuono 660 / rs660 ?
Sorry man I don’t remember it’s been a long time since I was on it
is that ur hoodie strings hittin ur helmet or is ur mic clipping when ur doing pulls on the highway
Both
Technology on the new bikes are so annoying they should sell them new with basic models with no power modes or abs
agreed
What do you find annoying about the new tech?
@@BeginnerMoto limits skilled riders capabilities
@@dumbninjakid7149 do you feel as though they impact your riding when cruising around town or only when riding at the limit? If you can turn the stuff off whenever you want, then it seems like it would be a good trade off.
You should trade in your R7 for one
they're cool but I'd rather have a stock 636 if I went back to a stock bike
The electronics are easier to control than projected… takes 2 mins to master.
Not for a dummy like me
@@jar7d - if I were to show you what’s up in person, I guarantee that you’d be navigating through the screens in no time
The lady that sold me the bike gave me a short tutorial before I left the dealership, and while I see how it can be confusing at first, once you get it, it’s so easy…
@@SongJLikes oh yeah I mean if I had watched a video or been taught before hand it would be fine I’m sure but it’s just hard to figure out from scratch especially since none of my bikes have that much technology
@@jar7d - from scratch? I totally get it. That’s why I asked the sales lady for the tutorial before I rode it away haha
This guy is annoying fr
Damn that’s crazy 😱👍🏻
