I just cried my ass off watching this. I think the defense chant before the intro is what did it. Been with this team since 89 and im not going anywhere
Those days are done and they aren't coming back. The new seating sucks, the team sucks, the prices suck, the fans that come aren't even fans. It's not the same place it used to be. Glad I got many memories of going to games in 90's. I feel lucky to have that.
So have I. It's a different crowd and atmosphere. I went to a game a month ago. Like 8 seconds left, Knicks down 2 with the ball. Most of the place was still sitting for the final seconds. Don't fucking tell me bro. You don't even see that shit at a Orlando Magic game.
@@american_alien_1583 If the Knicks get Kevin Durant and Zion Williamson, along with Kyrie Irving, and/or Anthony Davis, than you can bet it sure will be again though.
@DG 1 Yeah, but still a bummer the Knicks can't lure star players like they once could have. Only way we'll ever see these days happen at the Garden again will be when "Douche" Dolan finally bites the dust once and for all!
The spring of 1994 at The Garden. It was an amazing two months in NYC. The Rangers winning their first Cup in 54 years, and the Knicks going to Game 7 of the Finals. Losing to Houston was a stinger, the Knicks should've won that series.
If only Starks could have gotten the three point shot off at the end of the sixth game. That of which I'm at least 75% convinced would have gone in, until Hakeem O. just barely got a piece of the ball with the skin of his fingertips. He was on fire that game, and series, until his total 2/18 clunker in Game #7. That or should have at the very least, passed it to Ewing, who could have gotten an easy two, to force OT as well.
@@marcs3145 It's too bad Starks suddenly forgot how to shoot in Game #7, when he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn then. I knew the Knicks chances were done after Game #6, to the point where I couldn't even watch all of the seventh game, with how devastating that loss was, and pretty much saw it coming that weren't going to win it. I was not at all surprised to wake up and see that they lost the game and series the next day as well.
@@marcs3145 And even that game was fairly close too, despite knowing all along that Houston was pretty much going to win it, which they obviously did though.
@@williamarroyo1109 LOL. Another Bulls fan here, yeah, but they were great battles and I miss those days, and more importantly the players and how the game was played.😥
Oh he was there that night. Spike took Reggie's choke sign so personal in gm5 that *took a plane to Indy, paid 15K for 2 seats to gm6. Starks ran up to the man, slaps hands in victory.* Spike doesnt miss game 7 with the Knicks. He even went down to Houston for gm6 & 7. He's 1st on the Mt Rushmore of superfans
I'm a Chicago Bulls fan, and I remember HATING the Knocks back in the 90's. But even with that rivalry, the MSG ROCKED when the intros and crowd rocked the place back in the 90's. That 'defense" chant...AWESOME. I tip my hat to Knicks fans. We had a rivalry, but the Bulls vs. Knicks was always hit.
The garden, the crowd, the rivalry with indiana and the go ny go ny song. There was no better time growing up in ny as a knicks fan. 😪
couldn't agree more... nothing was better than being a Knicks fan in the 90s :)
This was my teens Year.
@@jamw8022I’m a Knicks fan during that time still am and being a Yankees fan in the 90’s was way better I’ll give you 3 reason 96,98 and 99!
Nothing beats the chant of defense at the garden in the 90’s
That's for damn sure. I'm a die hard Bulls fan since the 90s and even I concur to that!

In a month's time, the 30th anniversary of The 1994 NBA Playoffs will begin. This is worth watching all over again.
That's why I'm here 💪
And look who’s matching up in the second round.
9 years old at the time. A Knicks fan. Enjoying the biggest victory of the franchise as they advance back to the NBA Finals after 21 years. 1973.

I look back and I’m very grateful to have been a teenage Knicks fan during this time. Being in the arena was even louder than it appeared on TV
I was in MSG that night. As loud as it sounds here it doesn't do it justice. We could barely hear the intros.
been to Knicks games in the 90s... the crowd's roar is... or was...amazing
this never gets old, i've watched this so many times, thank you so much for sharing :)
I think I watched this intro, from this game, a hundred times as a kid. Thanks for posting!
I wanna cry watching this...wtf happened to my Knicks???
James Dolan and Phil Jackson
Knicks sucked long before Jackson, I blame Dolan 100%
Jackson made the team worst but yeah it still all goes back to Dolan.
fearlessfrable26 James Dolan is Satan incarnate
Well Dolan obviously, along with Scott Layden, Isiah Thomas, and the others too!
