That was good trolling from the rockets. But this intro will top every today's rockets intro. Best rockets intro ever. Miss that intro, really raw hype.
The Rockets used to mock the visiting team all the time back then with the song accompanying the starting lineup. The best was the Sixers who were awful that season(24-58). The song they used was "Streets of Philadelphia" by Bruce Springsteen.
It's true, back then the people in the Summit would fuck with the opposing team during the starting lineups by using the most ridiculous songs in this case "It's a Small world" For the Orlando Magic.
Funny thing about Houston's "liftoff" and space countdown is that Orlando is the other Space City with the Kennedy Space Center being right next door at Cocoa Beach and UCF originally founded as a training school for those that were going to work in the space program. UCF vs. Houston football is considered the "space game" where they were space themed uniforms, and when they were running out of 407 area code phone numbers Orlando went with 321 as their next area code as a nod to counting down for rocket launches.
They used a song by Capella for their intro. Even though they don't use 'You Gotta Know' any more for intros, Houston DOES have a player named Capela, so that's pretty sweet!
PA Announcer: Orlando Magic, you guys lost to the Rockets in the 95 finals. Whatcha y’all gonna do next? Magic: Were going back to Disney World!!! 😂 But overall that was a great matchup between Hakeem and Shaq!!! I miss those days!!! ❤
Nah let's. They left the Summit due to the fact it wasn't theirs. It was actually owned by the Aeros' owner and they had beef with Van Chancellor. It even cost us a NHL expansion. That went to Nashville.
What an epic troll of the Magic. Though I'm sure the Walt Disney Company appreciated the very large royalty check it cost the Rockets for having that played over national TV

So hilarious the entrance of Magic 😂
The Rockets were really annoyed by Orlando's over the top P.A. stuff so they decided to give them some of their own medicine.
Coming from Orlando home of Disney World, yep it was a small world for them after all 😂
This shit still brings tears of joy to my eyes! Greatest Rocket team ever!
Me too
That was good trolling from the rockets. But this intro will top every today's rockets intro. Best rockets intro ever. Miss that intro, really raw hype.
They need to bring back the Rockets old intro music
Capella - you gotta know
Getting close to 30 years, and this intro still gets me hyped.
This series is why Shaq can't ever talk smack to Kenny.

My fav was when we did the Barney theme against the Raptors
+Ahsan Currimbhoy wait, WHAT!?!

I hope when the Knicks got there that season the Knicks destroyed them
Doug that was a Sunday game during the day..I remember that game, it was on my birthday, in March. John Lucas was coaching.

That’s deep
But Houston is named the Rockets
Damn it the Rockets announcer should have dragged the Magics intro out longer, really make them listen to that😆
I love this so much! The memories... I get goosebumps every time!
It's a small world after all lmfao. That showed them we weren't afraid of them
Dang right we weren't afraid. We were already up 2-0 in the series at that point, and really, it was over after Game 1.
Meanwhile, Houston plays their traditional use of U Got 2 Know by Cappella to introduce their starters.
Uh excuse me you do not have the copyright of It's a Small World by Walt Disney. Blue haired lawyer from The Simpsons.
Weren’t afraid not only the Magic, but also the Bulls
Joshua Gamboa II they need to play this every time they make the playoffs as of now!
Still get goosebumps. Rockets we’re so good.

One of my favorite intros in the Finals
Have this song as my ringtone brings back to back memories
Michael Sandoval what song is it
@@martinhernandez-eq2tpCapella U Got 2 Know

Three minute 90’s NBA intro were better than any concert you could ever go to

"That's my second favorite song!" -Bill Walton
😬😬😬😬
The Orlando Magic did get their name in honor of Disneyworld, the main attraction in Orlando, Florida.
29 years later and this still cracks me up. Took longer to say Oooooolajuwan than it took to introduce the whole Magic team 😂😂😂😂
Best team we ever had in rockets history in general
1994 Rockets were the better team though 1995 did have Clyde
i'm crying as a lifelong magic fan
No!!!!! Tell me Houston didn't do Orlando like that! Lmfao!
They did that to visiting teams often. When Toronto came to Houston, they played the theme song to Barney the Dinosaur because of the raptor mascot.
They did.
We do that to visiting teams all the time.
Matt Thomas sounds sooooooooo young
and now he is back to houston as pa announcers since 2016
Zuni Aprio really?
Jason Elliott yeah
The Clutch City Cheerleaders of The NBA World Champion, Houston Rockets!
The 🏀 I grew up on...
😂 The Rockets trolling the Magic during their intros was so Houston in the 90s. Long live The Summit.
if they faced the Indiana Pacers in those finals they would've played the theme from one day at time
Julian Smith why?
Because that show was set in Indianapolis.
The Summit was such an awesome place. Why did Joel Osteen have to buy it and fuck it up?
hey don't go disrespecting Joel osteen now
Nah let's. They left the Summit due to the fact it wasn't theirs. It was actually owned by the Aeros' owner and they had beef with Van Chancellor. It even cost us a NHL expansion. That went to Nashville.
Because he's Joel Osteen. And hey, the Toyota Center seems like a nice place too. Hopefully, Osteen won't buy that place too.
This is epic.
This is what i call rivalry, if it happens in the game today. League will probably fine the rockets for doing that, just loads of BS
0:55 marv's reaction
Frank Lakers it just happened to the raptors in milwakee
Petition to bring this back as the Rockets intro (for the playoffs at least)
Those are some really awesome intros
In the PC world of 2020 this would never fly. I miss these times!!!
The psychology was perfect!
This theme will fit very well with the current Rockets.
Houston rockets look good this year. ..Astros!! 2017 champs...
What an epic troll of the Magic. Though I'm sure the Walt Disney Company appreciated the very large royalty check it cost the Rockets for having that played over national TV

It was a small world but a world ass beating thanks to the Rockets

@ 0:55 I think marv has sensed something
StFidjnr I think he had the sense to set that thing on his head free to roam in the forest.😆😂🤣
The Rockets use the song It's a Small World for the Orlando Magic
WTF?🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Lol when they played It's A Small World After All, that's when the series ended, the Rockets did the Magic dirty lol
No wonder why in game 4 the magic are 'under pressure'
That's one of the reasons why the Magic got swept. Houston humiliated them with the starting lineups. 😆
team
And to get my new Ford Mustang Convertible dark Gray and one million dollars today
hakeem vs shaq, houston destroyed orlando
maybe the rockets cant win anymore because of astrodome
Skittles456 what does that have to do with it? They will win again soon.
Skittles456 they were playing in the summit not the astrodome
Hahhaha nice intro for magics
