The "phantom foul" is such a myth. Pippen clearly hit Hubert Davis on the follow through. Anyone who has ever played ball knows that if you hit a shooter on the follow through you may get called for a foul. Dumb play by Pippen, and Hubert Davis still had to hit the 2 clutch foul shots which he did. Truth is, if Kukoc doesn't bail the Bulls out and hit the prayer of a game winner in game 3 while Pippen sulked on the bench the Knicks probably would've swept. And game 5 was only as close as it was because Derek Harper foolishly got suspended fighting Bulls bench scrub A.J. English. And the Bulls still could've won game 7 and got blown out. The 94 Bulls were a great story and had a great regular season, but this whole "they almost won the championship" narrative is nonsense. They had a good run and lost to a better team.

This was a big, physical and a good NY Knicks team coached by no other than Pat Riley. When MJ waa still playing they had several playoff runs that NY always lose to the Bulls.Without, MJ they finally got over the hump but eventually lost to the Rockets in 7.
And after this game was played so many people said Jordan needed Pippen more🤔🤔
to make simple for you, in 2K terms, in 1993 a 97 overall Jordan had a 95 overall Pippen. In 1994 a 97 overall Pippen had a overall 85 Kukoc
Отличная работа форвардов Никс, замечательные пасы Патрика, и заслуженная победа. Пип к победе привести был не способен.
Even without mj . Pippen and the bulls managed to push the series in 7
The bulls almost won this series against the Knicks without MJ.
9:17 dang the fans were ruthless back then
0:47 back when you could do that without getting suspended
Ewing was a good passer
Really, the ´94 Bulls were a fairly likeable team. Comparing the Bulls and the NYK frontcourt, it´s quite impressive how many points Chicago made from inside the paint.
Whatever happened to Pete Myers?
I was a 7 year old Bulls fan living in NYC. I remember the kids at school and my brothers friends being happy & rubbing it in my face. I enjoyed rubbing in their face a couple of years later.
HATE WHEN PEOPLE TALK ABOUT THE CALL AT THE END OF GAME 5...
IT WAS A FOUL. !!!!!!! WATCH THE DAMN CLIP CLOSELY PIP HIT HIS ARM..... YES AFTER THE SHOT WAS RELEASED BUT THE BULLS WERE IN THE PENALTY.....DAVIS WAS GOING TO THE LINE EITHER WAY
I was SO PISSED when this happened!!!
In an alternate timeline the Bulls with MJ played the Pacers and beat the Rockets in 94. OJ is guilty and Bulls 4-peat 😂
Yup,Hakeem didn't have Drexler that year anyway
@@aarontrainor9918 They had Otis Thorpe and Vernon Maxwell.
@@bw1190if it happened Scottie Pippen would have snatched Otis Thorpe's soul and so is Kenny Smith as far as Vernon Maxwell goes Jordan himself would have mucked him in that alternate NBA Finals of that year 😅
ref pushing Mason to go over half court so he don’t call 8 seconds violation is wild 😂
55 win team. Without MJ. And refs helped Knicks in one of those games. Imagine Bulls without MJ facing Pacers. Would be bad fit for Indiana. Now take Malone out of Utah and they dont win half of those 62/64 wins.Stockton was great but his game was never to take many shots. Thats why Malone got the MVP.
What your point ?? The bulls were couched and conditioned to be a good team Especially with Pippen total knowledge of Jordans game and mentality But without Mj determination and killer instinct they couldn't win in real tough situation against a very good team like New York and probably Indiana pacers either.
Bulls were a 3peat team still intact after Jordan retired. The Bulls added six new players that combined for over 40ppg. You don't no how good Stockton and the Jazz were if you actually believe this take. The Bulls had help from the refs this series as well.
@@sideshowbobsaget8876 Im Jazz fan. Know exactly what Bavetta did. Point was to say how really valuable was Malone as the system in Utah. Jazz needed Stock to be same 91, 90 version of himself and we could have won chip. Not 34 year old Stock scoring 10 points and 5 assists in crucial game.
@@mr.e347 The Jazz should've took a page out of Hakeem Rockets playbook and use their 3point shooting to their advantage against the Bulls. The truth is Stockton and Malone peaked at the wrong time (88-98) if they made it out West than they had the Pistons or Bulls waiting for them.
Malone obviously was valuable and the Jazz would have no hope at the championship without him, but the Jazz are definitely making the Playoffs without Malone. Just like the Lakers and Celtics made the Playoffs after Magic and Bird retired.
You think the nba wanted Pippen to win without Jordan, hell no.
Damn! How many times did Williams get dunked on? Lol!
Nice highlights minus score???
if the bulls won this series,it would be a GREAT debate on mjs legacy..how silly really is the nba
If Patrick woud of had another real star in his team he would of had one or two of the bulls championship s
Your grammar sucks
The Chicago 🥩🚴🏻 is heavy in these comments
thats why pippen needs mj to get a championship...
Jordan need pippen to get a championship
Knicks beat Bull's
I think the chemistry between Horace Grant and Pip was better compared to Rodman, and Pip actually played better in those years.
But I will take Rodman anyday
Seeing all this now that I'm 40 Mj. Had 2 all star's. Patric Ewing had just role players..the Esat was not that strong Pacers had Reggie
2 all stars? Where?
@@revelation67 rodman was an all star! Uh pippen. I think
Rodman wasn’t on this team lol
Pippen was an all star in 92 and 93. He wasn’t in 91 when they won their first chip.
And who mentioned those year's
pippen at his best ever. period
Jordan was playing baseball during this series
I'm sure he sucked at baseball.
Got acknowledge Tony Kukoc..
If it weren't for the phantom foul called on Pip in Game 5, the Bulls win this series in 6 games, which would have been a carbon copy of the year before.
The Rockets still would have won the title
@@goldenstatewarriors4011 even if Jordan still played on the team.
@@tuckerflo5 Yep
@@tuckerflo5 AND THE BULLS WERE ALREADY IN THE PENALTY....SO CONTACT REGUARDLESS WAS A FOUL!!!!
And the Chicago Bulls 3-year title run will come to an end?
Even if MJ didn't retire, Olajuwon rockets get 1 championship from Jordan bulls
@@hectorlopez1069 94 or 95.
@@bw1190 maybe 94
What pippen thought he was doing ?
I remember I cried i used to love the Chicago bulls back then they should have 4 peat
If Michael Jordan was playing here, the Knicks would of lost easily.
👎
Where’s that pippen foul?
always hilarious to see people comment on how it was better in the 90s. LOL, Sloppy first play. Iso, turn around jumper... defense breakdown and a open jump shot. Not controlling rebound (bringing it down) for easy dunk. Not pressuring the ball handler for open 3. Line drive for a dunk. ROFMAO. sooo...bad.....
EWING❤❤❤
If Jordan was there they would have not won this
😅 and Riley would be 0-6 against Jordan in the playoffs all time 😅
Scottie Pippen Is The New Goat
Now to all who says that mj never won anything without pippen, here's the proof. Pippen can't lead the bulls past the second round without mj.
Whereas mj never said he won it all for his team. Even called pip his greatest teammate. It's a teammate sport afterall. Truth remains, without mj, the bulls lacks the tip of a spear.
Pippen took the bulls further than mike ever took them alone
we got mugged in New York in G5
The Knicks were lucky Jordan wasn't on the 94 bulls they would won this series
No they would have not that year knicks were going too win regardless if jordan was their or not
@@Aldine281with MJ,these Bulls win a championship
9:21 that's what the pistons did when they beat the bulls in game 7
With Jordan on the team too.
They didn't walk off the court watch the rest they actually walk towards the Knicks bench
@@TheBmills415 what are you talking about. The pistons shook hands with the bulls in the same game 7. They walked off the court ONCE and that wasn't even the same series. Jordan hadn't wrongfully attacked their non basketball and basketball lives yet so they didn't walk off the court yet
pip had 20 and 16 boards ... 5 assts!
horace grant ... 4 boards??
bj armstrong ... 8 points???
I don't remember these guys being this slow.
Why did Jordan have to play baseball ;( , would’ve won 8 rings in a row
Not 8, probably 7 because the rockets owned the bulls in the regular season. Rockets would have found a way to beat the bulls and MJ.
@@hectorlopez1069 nope you’re wrong. Regular season does not carry over to the playoffs. Especially when you only play twice in the regular season and those games have minimal impact on your record. Playoff Mike was a different beast. Knicks took rockets to game 7, and those knicks barely squeaked by a Jordan less bulls team. Rockets would’ve been cooked in 5-6 games against Jordan’s bulls
@@ParagD88nope, your wrong, rockets wouldn't been cooked in 5 or 6 games. Rockets win one championship from Jordan.
@hectorlopez1069 No the NBA would've rigged it in Chicago's Favor
Jordan-less Bulls, and these scrubs still barely beat them.
Knicks should have been embarrassed letting this get to a game 7.
They played pippen
Where was pippen couldn't win big games without Jordan.
Jordan was overrated if the Bulls still won 55 games and made it to Game 7 of East semis without him. JK, but Bulls were still great team.
Overrated?...two three peats....call me when you found some one else
@@carlosgarcia8342 LOL. I did say JK (just kidding) on my comment about me saying he was overrated. Though perhaps the '94 season showed that Pippen was underrated, and that Phil Jackson is perhaps one of the top 3 coaches of all time.
@@serge014 Dude the Bulls added 5 new players after Jordan left in 1994. 2 great shooters in Steve Kerr and Toni. When Ray Allen Joined the heat in 2013, all the players on the heat had their best season in terms of efficancy bro.
Jordan missed 6 games from 1991 t0 1993, guess how many the Bulls won? they won 1 game and and lost 5 my guy.
They were 1 - 5 without Jordan in the first three peat.
Btw the Bulls in 1994 faced a very injurd team in the first round in the Cavs, and in the secend round the Knicks starting PG Derek Harper was ejected for 2 and a half games of that series.
Stop pushing Narrtives around ok?
@@chilling8987 so if you think bulls every year they change half of there roster do you think every player in that line up they know what they do
Yeah but the year after this the Bulls were on the verge of not making the playoffs until Michael Jordan came and Save the Day
Pete Myers was good in this game but ..forget mj...if the bulls had just Ron harper, they might've overcame the Knicks..
Bulls we're not going to win a championship without Jordan. So why is anyone surprised.
