    THANK YOU! EASY to understand, EASY to follow. I have had the D3300 for a year and really need more understanding, especially with flash photography. Lighting seems to be an issue, indoors, with aux flash, aimed at ceiling, still has too much light. Using camera flash, can have same effect. This is where I have most of the issues which prevent clear and memorable photos. You might even have such a video. I will subscribe and follow and look for appropriate videos you have created. Thanks again!! Appreciated.

    So helpful! I probably messed up all my settings real bad. I’ve had my camera for a few years and when I take the picture there’s two snaps. One quick and then there’s a slow pause and then it snaps again for the final picture. Not sure how I did that but I’d love to make it go away ...

      Larson Family set your camera to aperture priority mode. It’s the A on the mode dial (move it from M to A). Then, set your aperture to the smallest number possible (it will be somewhere close to f2.8). Here’s how to change the aperture (m.ruclips.net/video/7HRgLfAvR34/видео.html). After that, focus as described in this video and you should be all set.

    Can you help me on figuring out the correct settings for a landscape picture

    • @benmaundvisuals
      @benmaundvisuals  6 лет назад +2

      Alicia Pacheco there’s a lot of different ways to shoot landscape...if you’re just starting out, I’d start with an fstop around f16, an ISO under 400, and set your shutter speed to expose properly. Focus on the lower 1/3rd. Tripods can also be handy depending on your shutter speed. Some more advanced techniques include HRD, focus stacking, and using graduated ND filters. There’s plenty of RUclips videos on each of those. Hope this helps! -Ben

    Thanks for putting this together, Ben. It's helpful. So I thought the box in the live view was for exposure metering. Does it do that as well as set the area for focus? Also, when focusing in the viewfinder - moving that red dot means you are using single-point AF. Am I thinking correctly here?

      Daisyree Lorraine Jamito How close are you to what you’re trying to focus on? Sometimes it won’t grab focus in AutoFocus mode if you’re too close to the subject. Is it beeping and grabbing focus with the box turning green?

    • @daisyreelorrainejamito3659
      @daisyreelorrainejamito3659 6 лет назад

      @@benmaundvisuals I'm afraid it's not beeping anymore, like what it used to before.. though the box is turning green but the shutter is so hard to press, it won't release.. Unlike before when I use Live View with Auto Focus, I just do long press, and it's not working this time. Also, I consider proximity when shooting to make sure I am not too close to my subject.
