I'm using the standard kit lens with a Rode GoMic.
If you are a Media Studies teacher or students and would like me to make a specific media-related video, just send me a message!
superb. concise, to the point, clear explanations, no gimmicks, swooshes, pointless animations or goofing around wasting time. I wish all instruction videos on youtube were like this!
Glad you enjoyed it! I wish I had access to more tech to do more of this sort of thing
Hero. No intro nonense. No "hey guys whats going on 2 minute intros" straight to it. Subscribed
Dude, you are so nice and polite! Your tips helped me a ton! I subscribed :)
Thanks!
Something about your voice, I LOVE your voice. It's super enjoyable to listen to. Thanks for the simple, informative video!
Great Video!!!!! I just got this little camera from a pawn shop in a two-lens kit, charger, two batteries, USB cable, a carrying case but no manual for 75.00 USD. I was checking how it works when I realized it had a recording button, but I did not know how to use it. So I came to RUclips and entered "How to shoot videos with Nikon D3300", and found your video with a very clear explanation, and now I am using this feature a lot thanks to the very clear instructions you give in this video!!!! I already have a D4, and an old F5 from the film era, plus lots of Nikon lenses- about 20. But this little gem has more resolution than my D4, and it can also do low light and that is FANTASTIC!!!! I just ordered a stereo microphone and a remote control for it. I am so excited of the bargain I got with it!!!!! And again, this is a great video, keep your excellent work here!!!!!
It's a beaut, and that's a great price for a solid piece of kit
Thank you! I just "inherited" a D3300 in my new job without any manuals. This quick tutorial was extremely helpful.
thanks for explaining how turn on the camera. finally, I found a video that covers it in full.
You'd be amazed how often I have to explain it to my students!
What a brilliant tutorial. I've been lazy and just shooting videos for my channel on my old phone. I thought it's going to be really difficult to set it up. Thank you for making it all look so simple.
Thank you! 😃 Your video's awesome and very helpful!
Ronalie Itgano thank you
its there any chance to find a remote that record video and pause recording as well ?
Amazing user guide, very dynamic and professonal :)
Very helpful!! Thank you! I started a channel about 3 weeks ago with my kids. We started a show and this will help as I move between the two modes, film and photo. Well thought out video. I just bought my camera about a week ago.
FINALLY A PERSON WHO COULD EXPLAIN AMAZINGGGGG!!!
I subscribed due to quality of the tutorial and humble / polite way of the presenter. Thumbs up!
Dude, you did a great job. Very detailed and in such a beautiful manner, Thumbs up!
Excellent guide. No BS, to the point. Nice one!
Well done. I like the video. It was helpful. Last time I brought out my D3300 I completely forgot how to shoot video and was frustrated. Silly stuff. So easy!
I learned something cool with this video. I noticed that you frame rates were different than mine, and its because the "Video Mode". Mine is in NTFC and yours is PAL. Now i have more frame rates options thanks to you. Thanks!
Thank you, didn't understand how to until I watch this video, totally life-saver!
You're welcome
Amazing. Just the best and exactly what I needed.
Glad to hear it
Well done. Perfect... just what I was looking for. The British accent makes it sound reliable and educated!!
Thank you! That reliable accent even makes toilet humour sound elegant!
+ΗΜανασου Ξεβρακωτη Hahaha. Oh dear. Delete yourself.
Mate I was searching 4 days in a row for a good camera which I like. I have ordered 2 cameras within 2 days and returned them immediately, because one of them was fake chinese type and other I didn't like. But now after 4 days I have found my camera thanks to you! Exxcellent video. You got a new subscriber ✌🏼

Great video about the D3300. It's the focus I've struggled with and depth of field. Thanks!
Glad to help! I've got a specific video on my channel about maximising depth offend if you're interested

Bloody nice of you to say so, thanks!
Brilliant! I just watched a long 40 minute video and still left confused. This short, concise and helpful video did exactly what I needed and feel refreshed at the end. Bravo sir!
What if I want to video myself and there is nobody to hit the focus button before recording?
Full servo?
Set up your camera, start recording, and get to your position. You can edit that out in post.

Fantastic video. Straight, and to the point. I wish every video was as clear of this. Just about to buy one of these cameras for my video shoots as have heard many good things :)
Good to hear! Don't be tempted by the newer D3400 - they've dropped the mic-in port!
Great video learnt alot as I just acquired a nikon D3300. Thank you

THANK YOU! I didn't know how to get rid of auto-focus so my videos were awful with lots of noise from the lens moving.
Simple and wonderful
I have a Nikon D3300 & rode mic as well. How were you able to get rid of the hissing noise in the background for audio?
Best tutorial.

Thank you! In order to load footage onto a computer to edit do I just put the storage card into the laptop? Thanks!

Super helpful, thanks! Btw, who's here in 2021?!
Just me I think
Excellent video just have one question; in the lenght of your video is 29 min 58 s; but mine is just 1 min; and its the same camara; does it have to do with the memory card?
Very informative video. Thank you.
So new camera's have a flip screen so u can see what your shooting when doing RUclips videos, what kind of screen can I buy to attach to this camera? Will I be able to have the mic and screen both mounted on top of the camera?
wow this is so useful. But I was also interested in taking it one step further and doing manual audio
My D3300 only records in 10min bursts.... Why is that? Plus I found the Rode Video Mic go to barely have any difference in audio quality from the Camera's own microphone. Am I doing something wrong here?
Great video! Thanks!
Thank you
v thanks for your info
i 'll try it today
Thanks for the advice
Awesome, awesome, awesome!!
Thanks, this helps a lot!!!
You can't record at 1080p 60fps?
You can, you just need to change it from PAL to NTSC
What is the difference between PAL and NTSC?
GamersOfSlovakia™ From a technical standpoint I'm not too sure lol. I've always seen them as regions. PAL is Europe and NTSC is the US. DVDs, games and so forth are all done the same as well.
Frame lines and frame rate /watch?v=3GJUM6pCpew
I live in Finland (PAL region) and you can buy these cameras with 60fps here :D??
