That really was their best album by far. Great production, songs, playing...everything. But for some reason I still end up listening to ulak more. Probably more emotional connection to it for me.

I thought George played best when he was in Dokken!!! He is still a great guitar player now!!! I think he plays best within a context of a good song!!! Then I think his lead work shines through!!! George Lynch has done so many music projects since Dokken that his music lacks focus. He will never escape the Dokken fame!!! I get it he's an artist and you got to progress and evolve and improve as a player!!!! He s still a fantastic and brilliant player to come from 80s hard rock and metal scene!!!!☺ I think it's more challenging and more creative to play a solo when one has to fit it within a song and play in certain perameters. ( Time constraints and melodic content , more musical and less flashy, something rememberable!!!)☺😉
@Mick Crippz George was always the problem from day one. He's a great guitarist but the more I've learned about him the less I like him. His ego is way out of control and he has all this resentment for Don that the man himself did virtually nothing to deserve.

A lot of people say Don became egocentric and that may be true. However, George became the biggest primadonna to walk this earth and that's what ruined the band. Don, Jeff & Mick were a band still, but George ruined the whole vibe and even played with his back to the audience at the Monsters of Rock Festival 🙄

To say the only talent in Dokken was George is absolutely retarded, how about Jeff Pilson? How about Mick Brown? Pilson is a multi-instrumentalist and and great vocalist as well. This is a true story about George playing with his back to the crowd, kids. I saw the MoR tour in Indy August of 88 I believe, and he stayed by his amps, hardly looked at and never acknowledged the crowd. Don't even get me started about Metallica playing before Dokken. Jason's dad was a few rows in front of me at that show. Waited outside Karma Records 2 days for those tickets.
Kingdom Come definitely did not belong on that tour! They had one hit & sounded like Zeppelin so they were considered a monster of rock? No way! I could have said.. which band didn't deserve to be on that tour & everyone would have said.. Kingdom Come!!!
Libra's can be a pain. They're also master manipulators. Some people now think Don is the bad guy because the other three work together in a separate band but I don't see it that way. Not that I'm a Don groupie or anything.
@@Remco96187 according to both parties in the beginning it was a publicity construct that Don and George didn't like each other, but at some point it began to be a reality and they despised each other George never liked the fact that the band was named Dokken, he even made Shadowlife to kill the damn band, but these days I think they're in good terms

Totally disagree, vocals were far from limited ex. Unchain the night, dream warriors, walk away, lightning strikes again, some of my favorite riffs too like it’s not love, tooth and nail, kiss of death, the hunter, lots of great stuff
