I have been a huge massive fan of Dokken, Europe, and Accept for over thirty years. Don Dokken's solo album Up From The Ashes is still a PHENOMENAL album to me almost thirty years later. It easily could have been a Dokken album because it is as amazing as Dokken's first four albums in my opinion. John Norum is a PHENOMENAL guitar player and my favorite Europe albums are the first three albums they did with him. Peter Baltes the bass guitar player from Accept is an amazing musician and I love all the albums from Accept. Billy White is a great guitar player himself and Mickey Dee is an incredible drummer. Don Dokken had an amazing lineup for his first solo album that I still listen to very often.

Totally agree. It's actually a lost Dokken album.. The album should have followed Back for the Attack. Anyhow, PHENOMENAL album. I do think there were better songs than Mirror Mirror on it for a lead single.
Don Dokken was instrumental in getting Mickey Dee onto the Scorpions in 2016. With the departure of James Kottak due to substance abuse issues...... the Scorpions were hesitant about Mickeys drumming style fitting the structure of their catalog of songs. The Scorpions called upon their old friend Don for more insight and he said Mickey was the best choice.

Great drummer man. Saw him drum for King Diamond back in 1988 and being a drummer, he stole the show man.
