George looks so rad with the silver mane.
Agreed. It looks tight, especially considering his pass 60. Still looks like a Rockstar.
He was going bald at one point....Pepsi Tate are you the Welsh bloke from the Glam band ?
@@mojopin70 Lol I wish. He's dead.
@@mojopin70 fed da d get
I love that with all the guitars George has played over the years, they're memorable and meaningful to him. He does a great job of illustrating that having all these guitars isn't an ego thing, but each has something unique to offer in how they play and how they sound. Love you, George!
My peers all worshiped Randy...............for me it was always Mr. Scary. Even endured D.D. vocals and chicky songs..................just to hear this mans genius ! Met him, by accident after a show at pine knob, when his tour bus turned into a gas station and couldn't make the turn, I ran out and guided the driver into the lot. During this time all our girls, who were in love with Mr. Lynch, were going back to the hotel, thinking they would go back there after the show. The doors opened and the first one off the bus.................to our surprise, was George. We had no idea it was dokken's bus, He thanked me for the assistance, was glad we enjoyed the show, gave me a pick out of his pocket and autographed my jeans on the right thigh. To this day the girls think we made this up, to piss them off ! I still have them in a frame in my studio and they are one of my cherished relics.
After all the ups and downs of his life
Dude looks great
Stayin' strong brother
Ups and downs?
Well I mean he was in a band in the 80s. If that doesn’t scream ups and downs I don’t know what does honestly😂
Since 1982 George is one of my favorite guitarist of all time!!
Can’t believe he’s in his middle 60s. Barely looks 50 at the most.
That resonator guitar and the few bars you played - really hit the spot. A real southern "something's up" vibe sound. Fantastic.
Great collection love your music. Keep on keeping on George , you rock.
I really enjoyed this !! Thank you!!
Thanks George, really enjoyed it!
I also have a viper and I absolutely love it. The first time I played it I immediately fell in love and bought it right then. I’ve had it for 12 years and still sounds great
George,...I just now realized who also must share at least some of your ideas of guitar styles and builds in general and that's Greg Howe. So much similar influence and of course all out passion for great tone. You were literally(still are) one of my very first major influences playing guitar. Nobody,....just no one puts as much soul and energy into each and every note like you do man. EVERYONE KNOWS THIS IS THE TRUTH!! Bless you dude., and thank you for so many years of hard work and great music.
Love you George! You’re my hero on guitar. Keep up the great music.
The best in my opinion! Loved George since i saw him in Raleigh NC with 38 special in early 80s.
Geoge Lynch is one of the best guitar players in the world ,he has a style like no other, just like jimmy Page/Eddie Van halen/Jimmy Hendrix/to name a few.
My personal all time favorite. He can play anything. I try to catch his shows when he comes to my town. I once saw him play a 20 minute solo never repeating a riff! 💚🎸
Those 70s strats are awesome. Still have a 74 all original and pretty close to mint. The pickups sound much bolder than other strats. Great collection!
Yep. I have a classic vibe Squire 70s Tele Thinline.
lots of cool un seen Lynch axes....very cool
Great collection, this is why I love RUclips!
I read about the George Lynch Paul years ago, I’ve been waiting for 3 decades to see it. Very cool🤘
George through all the bands you rock dude, thanks for everything
Great Video ! Love seeing and hearing about his Guitars 🎸💥💯👍🏻
That's a great album ( Wicked sensation) i listened to it a lot at the time...
George is my biggest influence! So much so that Mr. Scary is a regular cover my band plays!
Legendary guitarist George Lynch!!! What a great collection!!!
It would be so cool for him to do a vid playing all of these guitars so we could hear what tones he is describing.
That's awesome that he mentioned Prashant!
Incredible guitars.
Liked all the history about why certain instruments were used and for what purposes.
Awesome footage
I really wish he would show some of his classic guitars, like the Tiger and the Skull guitar from the Dream Warriors video..
When you can, come back to El Paso Texas. Speaking Rock casino. I believe it was the first Native American Casino you played. Nice collection rides. Glad to see you still in the game. Lite picker. LOL
Monstro da guitarra!
Seems like a really cool laid back dude
Les Paul Gold Top is his secret weapon. No surprise there, perfect guitar in every way.
Quality vintage firepower. Indispensable arsenal George has here.
I loved this video
Love the Ultratone....
That’s great, got a guitar back from back in the day after you threw it to the audience,I couldn’t have charged ya for it,maybe jam with me for a little would be badass though
Always been curious on what Richard Gere has been up to....
Thanks
Hmmmm george has used that blue tele live on it's own lots of times...loads of footage available...sounds great
I always thought the Kamikaze II (red, white, blue) guitar was cool, but I don't think I've ever witnessed George playing that.
I hate it when the Floyd bar isn't screwed in enough to keep it from having extra play in the pull (0:18). Drives me nuts.
Anywho, awesome player. One of my biggest influences and I have a "Back for the Attack" CD in my car as we speak.
MK
Put a wrap of PTFE tape round it, to take up the play
They have push in ones now at FU Tone. I have one for my EVH and it rules. It stays where you put it. No more annoying swing or that extra play.
Dude's got so many ESP, he could probably read minds :)
Give credit to GL for sticking with ESP for so long. I remember when he broke out that blue PRS in the early Lynch Mob days, but it seems like it's been ESP since Under Lock and Key.
ESP is an amazing company for guitars. Then and charvel are the very best.
Love the George Lynch with Michael Sweet albums, amazing music
George Lynch is the Lord of guitar. What a humble person and what an icon
6:52 ... "splang" .. total guitar word. Love it.
The supper V looks great,,
that guy waving away that guitar in the parking lot in one of those shows and getting it back. Gosh that guitar has some story to tell
George! You are my and my mother's guitar hero. You are very cool even at that age.
What a nice man.
I was recently roaming the mean streets of Bend, Oregon when a bearded young man wearing tight fitting trousers approached me and said “BRAH, HAVE YOU SEEN LYNCH’S COLLECTION! ITS AWESOME BRAH!” I looked at him, smiled and said “LITTLE MAN INHAVE NO FUCKING CLUE WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT BUT I SALUTE YOU FOR YOUR PASSION” then went about with my day.
love that V!
i would love to have a go on that triple mini hum guitar!!!!! just give me some verb and a touch of OD!
久しぶりにジョージ・リンチ見たけど、何か渋くなったね。
ここにきてジョージ・リンチがかっこよくなったように感じる。
I like his Tiger Stripe ESP and Kamikaze the best but the others a very good too.
I wish ESP would another run of those 12-strings.
Once again, and you hear it really often, the hard tail Strats have the magic.
Well of course they do! More resonance between the bridge and body! That's why Floyd's, while they are fun and have their purpose in Rock Guitar actually decrease sustain, because you're literally transmitting the entire resonance from the bridge/strings through 2 bolts into the guitar body.
Where's the 50s Gold Top I saw in your Vintage Guitar interview. Hope you didn't get rid of it.
Whish you would of gave a little sound from each one. Thanks for sharing.
"I'm a big fan of Leslie West...of Mountain..." 14:40 Pretty cool. On another YoungGuitar equipment vid here on YT he rips away at some Leslie West riffs when demonstrating the Klon and Tube Screamer.
George is one of the few guys who dont make this all boring.
They could have had George Lynch play Bob in the Twin Peaks revival. Damn, what a missed opportunity...
Wow, no kidding.
Wish George had shown his J Frog guitars.
Cool but where is the anchang star kamikaze?
I would like to recreate the Ibanez X series Flying V from Japan I had in 1986! Now it is a Unicorn!
Nice guy for years in dokken and lunch mob
What I appreciate the most are the adjectives. Fat & Warm, Wirey & Alive, Growly, Dark....
Anyone else notice that trainwreck amp in the background?
Made in NJ!
The man ,the myth, the legend,Mr.Scary himself, George Lynch 😷🎸🎸🤙🤘
Come on, how much did you have to pony up to get that guitar back?
I didn’t want the video to end.
George is Legendary!!!!!!!
He sold his Tiger for $125,000. I'm still bummed about that!
Keep on
I was waiting for the crossbones guitar
wheres the guitar you played in germany way back early? can't remember if it was xciter the boyz or dokken, been a minute since I seen that video can't find it now, late 70's was it? guitar bible was 89' in the states no?
Did esp literally make a Les Paul with the Gibson logo? That’s cool.
Tyler McDavid they did make a near exact copy of the Les Paul right around the same time they were making Hetfields ESP explorer with banana head stock as well. They had two volume and two tone controls. Now only two volume and one global tone control. Copyright infringement stuff.
Frosty I actually have one of those explorers. The mx220. They are my favorite guitars of all time, along with the 250.
I was wondering that. I was thinking it said George
@@theshotgunscientists I want an MX220 so bad, such badass guitars
cool! "show aniki" song with kamikaze guitar
But where's the INfamous yellow Tiger N Orange/purple sunburst tiget guitars at?
I wonder if the pickups in epiphone sg he use for slide is set up like peter greens greeny.
My best friend Dean has the skulls and snakes tattood on his arm.. And that same guitar!! Talk about being dedicated!! 🤘😎🎸
Tighten that whammy bar up. Drivin me crazy.
This man still oozes sexiness!!
I had that Epiphone SG model, it looked great but balance was WAY off because of a too light body, Grover tuner doesn't help in that department too! ;-)
I wonder if he still has his sub charvel still?
Lynch looks like the guy who played Bob in Twin Peaks
Oh crap, ill never be able to not see it now
George went up the mountain....talked to the burning guitar, returned with white hair.
Man, George looks great. Is it true he's Native American?
The way I heard it, his Grandmother was Navajo decent. But I'd wait to hear it from him before I'd consider that as truth.
So he doesn't have the skeleton guitar anymore or did I miss it?
which speaker do you use g12m greenbacks
George has a Trainwreck amp. 🤘
Didn't know Gerald play the guitar 🙃
George uses a dimarzio at the kamikazee?????? which one?
Super Distortion
Hey Young Guitar !
You guys are not young anymore.
Please foucus more on new guitar hero for young generation.
They prefer to focus on good players with character.
After all they can’t get enough of beating lol
George Lynch is 65. he looks early 50s
I own 1978 Stratocaster hardtail, big head stock, 3 bolt neck joint, bullet trustroad and it kills any Stratocaster I have ever tried/heard...
I think that's why Jake E. Lee favored those -- because of the hardtail.
Something tells me he really loves ESP😂
He gets whatever he wants from 'em, so he endorses them! Was in my Junior year of High School when he laid his Kramer Barettas and that one orange Charvel down (no, not the Charvel Tiger, but rather the one with the pointy reverse headstock used in Dokken's "Just Got Lucky"-video), and started using the Kamikaze 1 & 2. And then the J. FROG "Skull & Bones" guitar came along. 1986-1988, and I knew "Tooth & Nail" practically by heart on my Peavey Impact 1, through my Dad's Pedal Steel amp, a Peavey Session 500. It had a 'Saturation' effect, usable in either channel, for doing 'Hot Rod' engine sounds on a pedal steel, or anywhere steel pickers used a 'slightly' overdriven tone, like Marty Robbins' "Don't Worry 'Bout Me." But when I'd crank that satruration knob WAY over, I got a 'BOSS DS-1 Distortion'-level tone, and that was enough to do Dokken's "Tooth and Nail" stuff, as well as RATT's "Out Of The Cellar"-tones.
